The motel is clean, comfortable and unpretentious. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us, on the edge of town and close to wineries. We could walk into town along a well maintained riverside path, or it's a short drive for those who don't like walking. It was surprisingly quiet at night despite being on a main road. The grounds are spacious and we enjoyed cooking on the the bbq and dining at one of the outdoor tables. The weather was hot (over 32°) but it was pleasantly cool in the shady garden. The swimming pool was refreshing and the perfect temperature, despite the very hot weather. We would definitely stay there again. It was great value for money!

As the phrase goes "all mod cons". Everything we needed was there. Large fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, plates and cutlery, tea towel, good desk area, chairs, TV, powerpoints on the desk with USB chargers. Nice hot water in the generous shower. I loved the retro look and feel. It's an older property, but one that reminded my very much of motels of my youth. It was comfortable, but in no way pretentious. Staff were fantastic. We were late, but the room was ready with access arranged and the heater on. Great value for money. Why pay more for less?

Nothing really. The step outside our room was quite high, but there was a handy rail. In a perfect world the toilet roll holder would be different.

The large window, which could be opened, with a beautiful rural scene, was an asset not often found in motels we have used. In summer it would be good asset in ennabling cool air to come in at night, again something lacking in so may ill-designed motels. The bed had normal sheets and blankets, not the "fashionable" one-doona type of bedclothes which mean on a cool but not cold night one has the choice of roasting or freezing. That is a big plus. There were two comfortable chairs as well as two more utilitarian ones, and they were also comfortable.

Provisions of some plates and dishes and cutlery would be useful for those who want to eat in and provide their own breakfasts. The motel is on a road that has large trucks passing the night, but with the windows facing away from the road, the sound of vehicles is a minor irritation, if that. The rooms are not tiny but also not big, but the staff can't do anything about that (nor about the big trucks!).

The room was very spacious with old fashioned decor/design, but very clean. The bed was King size and firm, and I slept like a log....it was quiet despite proximity to the main road. The bathroom seemed new and very clean. I loved the fresh milk offered and the big mirror and bench tops in the room.

Perhaps if they painted the dark bricks in a lighter colour the room would appear more modern. Otherwise, I was extremely happy with the facilities. It's on the far end of town, so you need a car (though I was told there is a shuttle bus available!)

It's an older style country motel but very comfortable with a nice size room and the air con worked well and was fairly quiet. We found the bed super comfy and the electric blanket was nice to have as the weather had turned quite cold. Whilst its just on the outskirts of town, we found it wasn't too noisy when we stayed on a Monday night. A quick 2 minute drive away is the Court House Hotel for a great meal.

The step up from the carpark to the room is a bit high for older or less mobile guests, or if you're carrying heavy or large items.

I stayed here one night in a double room. This was my first stay here. The furnishings are a little dated but everything was clean and comfy. The owners are lovely and live onsite if you need anything. The location is a couple of clicks from the CBD and quiet so I slept well and had everything I needed. The room was large enough to accommodate an extra single bed if necessary so I had loads of space to lounge around. The only thing I would fix is the vanity mixer tap which was loose.

The room was very comfortable with everything I needed. If I could find a negative it was the location being too far from town to walk in however the lady in reception offered us the numbers of the courtesy buses in town so we called Kelly’s Irish Pub who picked us up from our room and dropped us back again afterwards. Given there are really no negatives and that we had a really comfortable stay I’d definitely stay they again and recommend it to others.

Welcoming, friendly owners, with your needs taken into account. The room was really clean, and the bedding was all clean and fresh and decent pillows. There is a window that opens if you like fresh air. A USB port if you forget your charger but have a cord. A little fridge that was quiet. The bathroom was clean with towels and face-washers and good shower water pressure. Remember your cozzies for a dip in the pool!

We requested single beds and they were particularly comfortable. The room was simply furnished and very clean, with a pleasant view out the window. Although the motel is on a corner there was no traffic noise through the night....we slept very well. The proprietor was very gracious in having our rooms ready ahead of time so we could meet our schedule for later in the day with ease. Fresh milk was supplied for tea and coffee making.

There was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom......a minor problem
