A lovely hostel, very clean and comfortable. We had a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bunk bed to ourselves with a private bathroom next door. Kitchen is a bit small but lovely big lounge and outside area. Very good brekkie.

Bit of a steep hill and the hostel sign is covered by trees so we walked a lot further up than needed!! It's opposite Quinta da Costinha, which has a big sign.

The place had a parking lot, was cheap, and was a walking distance to pretty much anything we needed from Alijo (which was a very nice place to stay during the time we travelled around the Douro Valley). The guesthouse was well facilitated, we used the washing machine and dryer twice (for 2.5€) and the kitchen (which was very minimal but helpful).

The shower and sink were terrible for us, as the water only comes out for half a minute every time you push it open which we found awfully uncomfortable. Also, they don't have any rooms with double beds so we had to join the two twin beds.

Hot and cold water not well regulated. During shower water will turn super (scalding) hot, then ice cold. This should be addressed. Otherwise we love the property. Value for money is great.

The building is located very close to the village but it's surrounded by cultivated areas, fields and nice countryside. The room is clean and big. The breakfast is basic but good (fresh bread, homemade jams and cake). Very good value for money. I would definitely be back.

Check in at 6pm, it's a little bit too late as far as I'm concerned. However the girl at the reception made her best to let us in half an hour before scheduled time.

The rooms must have been refurbished rather recently and looked good but the bathroom (private) was in need of modernisation. Location was great for us, convenient car park and we had a mountain view, breakfast was quite good. They also had some shared facilities, like the big living room and kitchen, although we didn't use them.

Bathroom wasn't great, particularly shower tiles were a bit old and damaged and grouting mouldy due tu poor ventilation. I do understand it's a budget accomodation so simply stating the fact. The rest of the bathroom was good and the room much nicer:)

On arrival the front reception were seriously friendly and helpful. The private room was very clean and comfortable, with towels and soap provided. The breakfast was typically continental and very agreeable.

The kitchen was very small for the amount of people potentially staying, and wanting to use it.

clean and big rooms and good for the price. calm place with a really good restaurant near the hotel called "Apolo XI". I recommend everyone to try fried fish at Apolo.

I added my child to the booking but they said the booking just booked you a room with 2 beds and if your kid wants to stay you should pay for another bed for her. As I paid for the room in advance I was not happy to do another payment at the property.

The man at reception who worked in the afternoons and evenings was fantastic, he gave me information about e.g. wine festival that I didn't know about and where to find both the winery and the purchase of the bopollen etc
