The decor and the beautiful views. The property Manager, VJ, was very welcoming and made sure we were looked after during our stay. His attention to detail was appreciated and very good!

The bed frames are extremely noisy given their age which makes deep sleep very difficult, the mattress too is a bit too hard. The pool needs better maintaining but I understand this is been taken care of in the upcoming renovation. I think the breakfast can be improved and offer water, hot food choices like scrambled eggs or omelette, more fresh fruit and better selection of teas.

The house itself is very nice and the view from windows and garden is amazing. Small fritz in the room is good cause supermarkets are atleast 40 mins away.

The bed was too hard. The supper was overprized and not good. No information that pool was not usable while we were there. Would be nice if the period of using pool was mentioned on the page.

Quinta da Veiga is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It feels like you are living in a castle. The rooms and beds were massive. The views were breath taking and it was just so nice and peaceful. The host was so lovely and prepared so much food for us. I was speechless when I saw the place and our room. We only stayed for a night but I wished I stayed longer. I will definitely be back. It was amazing

Lovely unique Quinta in an amazing setting with lovely furnishings which gave it such character - bizzy was an asset to the establishment - we had a great virtual wine tasting on our last night.

The pool looked like it needs a major jet wash of the sides but was refreshing for a quick cold dip in the sunshine.

Beautiful location. Great food. Good breakfast; good wine. One really needs a car to get there. It’s a long winding road. No lunch provided. The 3 course dinner for 35€ iincluding drinks is good value. You do not have much choice for dinner in that region…

Many breakfast choices, good coffee all while enjoying the terraced Mountain View’s. We really loved the feel of the stone walls and the beautifully carved furniture.

We would have liked more choices on the dinner menu. We missed being able to have a salad with dinner.

Beautiful room with a fabulous view over the vineyards & the river. Great bathroom, lovely antique furniture in our room & in the reception & dining room & mingling/lounge room area. Wifi in our room was fast enough for work, & it a nice lounge to sit down. Francisco was very helpful & really made us feel welcome. Also, we could park safely on the premises.

The room could have had more pillows. The pool needed a clean, but really it was too cold to swim anyway. We discovered that all the vineyard-stays charge an exorbitant amount for the in-house dinner & this place was not as bad as some other places, still the meal was not good value for money compared to other areas in Portugal but at least we di not have to drive at night on the very windy roads after dinner, as they are very liberal with the wine! 😂 So at least we got to try the range of their wines, which were very good.

The location is lovely. The Quinta is a very particular structure, personally I loved the way it is decorated and the area outside. It really makes you feel like you are a part of the local history and life.

It's a pity that some details seem to be neglected. The pool for instance wasn't too clean, and the outside shower near it didn't work at all, but nobody seemed to care. No wine tasting was organized nor available, you can simply order a glass at the house manager, but that's all. It has a huge potential, with only a little effort it could be amazing.

Rustic charm in an idyllic location. Valley views to die for. Quaintly decorated rooms with adequate amenities. A delicious dinner experience.

To avoid disappointment it would be helpful to let visitors know prior to arrival that dinner is available and cash only. But it is worth it.

The location is stunning and staff is very friendly and will do anything to make your stay great. Good breakfast and dinner. The drive to the Quinta is great, only the last bit is a bit small which could be challenging if there is approaching traffic.

Just be aware that you must reserve dinner beforehand and in our case there was no dinner on Sunday. No problem as we had a car and drove to Pinhao, just something to take into account.
