Paradise. What a beautiful old estate in the middle of one of the most breathtaking areas on earth. The owner Damien and his wife are so welcoming and accommodating staff. Everything is so thoughtfully organized. Hundreds if not thousands of plants and flowers inside and outside. Three adorable little dogs to play with. A tour of the port manufacturing and storage facility ( this is a small and very homey operation, not a mega industrial like Sandeman). There’s even a swimming pool! And the breakfasts were amazing. Including eggs from the properties own chicken hutch! This was the highlight of our two week tour of Portugal. Stay here! You won’t regret!

We loved this place. It has great charm and Damian and Luisa although they have limited English are so kind and thoughtful. It is in the most amazing setting overlooking the Douro River and the garden is wonderful. The village is very medieval with a church built in 1188. Regua and Pinhao are only 15 minutes away and we did the train ride to Pocinho and back with incredible views of the vineyards and river. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance, one a Michelin star. Breakfast was great in the cosy kitchen. Can't recommend this place enough. Loved it and could have easily stayed longer than our 3 nights.

We absolutely loved the property, it is gorgeous and the nicest place we have stayed in this trip. The house is in an elevated and very quiet location in town with beautiful views of the river. We had an ensuite room which had its own little terrace with steps leading up to the pool, it was perfect. Our host was wonderful and so very helpful. Breakfasts were absolutely fantastic with so much on offer, the omelettes were amazing and so delicious. We just wished we had been able to stay longer and hope to return one day 🥰

Nothing at all, it was all brilliant

Traditional Quinta in the Douro Valley with great views. The room and bathroom were old fashioned but it was clean. The bed was a bit small but not as hard as some others we had on our trip. The breakfast was amazing, everything was fresh and homemade. The hosts made an effort to make you feel comfortable. They didn't seem to speak much English but we managed to communicate with my basic Portuguese and Spanish.

Bed was a bit small and the embroidered blanket (although pretty) was heavy and it got hot at night.

Wow, what an awesome place to stay. This family owned and run place was the most unique and beautiful place that we’ve ever stayed in. The grounds are beautiful, with a great swimming pool overlooking the valley, and many little nooks to sit outside. The accommodations themselves were excellent. They were so comfortable, and had everything to make one’s stay so pleasurable - even a lovely bottle of wine. The owners were terrific! The place is set in the valley in an excellent location. This is a real gem of a place.

Recently renovated villa with several comfortable guest rooms, excellent breakfast prepared by host, outside swimming pool, perfect view of Douro Valley, The host was very nice; he showed us his cellar and gave us some port wine for testing. This port was the best one we tried in Portugal. The villa and host were excellent. Unforgettable experience. Everyone in our group loved this place and were sad that we stayed there only for one night.

Definitely one of most beautiful places I have ever seen. Big old house made of stones surrounded by flowers, winyards and gardens. Breathtaking wiew of Douro and the hills covered by winyards. The place is extremely quiet and friendly. Everything was clean and very cosy. Very good breakfast made partially from their own products. You can buy wine, which is also very good. Nobody speaks English, but you can easily communicate as the host family is very friendly.

Nothing to say, everything was perfect.

Our visit, while short, was made memorable by our gracious hosts and their thoughtful hospitality. We were especially delighted by the amazing breakfast: a vibrant spread of fruits, a hot omelette, the taste of fresh orange juice, and a tempting array of cheese, ham, and bread. The owner's incredible port wine, from their private cellar, was a true sensory indulgence.

The location is fabulous, right on the douro river, very beautiful and quiet. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. The value for money is fantastic, we needed a place for one night so it was perfect for us. The room we got, along with the nice breakfast was more than we expected in advance regarding the price. The Quinta is traditional with plenty of art, something that adds up on the expirience. There are definitely other hotels you can go if you seek extra facilities, but if you want a nice place to sleep, with amazing view and a heartfull hospitality, this is definitely the right place to go! We loved our host. The accommodation was excellent. Very comfortable beds and great views. The swimming pool was a life saver in the hot temperatures. The home cooking was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. We were recommended a local restaurant, which we walked to and we weren't disappointed.
