Beautiful house, everything feels new, solid, with a modern tasteful design. Each room has a private balcony with a gorgeous view. Perfect for a relaxing space after your touring. Really nice lounge room for breakfast or hanging out. Bruno is a very friendly host, speaks good English, and has his own vineyard for tours and tasting, which we thought was very good.

It is a 10 minute walk from central Pinhão and train station, on a road with no sidewalk (but very little traffic). We walked back & forth, even with luggage, but most people might prefer a taxi/Uber.

A recently renovated guest house, immaculately clean and tastefully furnished.Our room was very spacious and comfortable with lovely bedding/towels and toiletries.Breakfast was a cold buffet and nicely laid out with sufficient supplies of cold ham, cheese, egg, fresh fruit, yoghurts. Lovely view of river from breakfast room.. Staff were extremely friendly and keen to help with suggestions for walks, directions, ordering taxis despite speaking little English

We didnt have a car -10 -15 minute walk into Pinhao but care needed as narrow, windy road with little pavement, uneven surface and fast moving traffic.

We started our stay with a guided tour of the owner’s vineyard and sampled some of his lovely wines. He was very generous with his time and we enjoyed the tour, learning a lot about the growing process and the various challenges of the beautiful Douro valley. There are just a few rooms which are decorated in a modern fresh way. Bed was very comfy. Ate in local restaurant - The Bridge. Some nice walking in the area and beautiful views of vineyards everywhere you look.

Pinhao town seemed very quiet and not many restaurants were open. It wasn’t a Sunday but maybe because it’s still early in the season.

The included continental breakfast was a solid way to get the day started. The property is very easy to access from the train station. We walked for about 15 minutes. Digital codes make the space easy to enter. There is a great common area with a beautiful view. The room itself is well appointed: spacious, beautifully designed, and during cold months, the heat warms up the whole room. I would recommend the tour of the winery. The property and farm are family run and they take great care of it. The architecture is also really interesting. 10/10 would recommend!

Clean and roomy

We were put in the lower floor so no view but had a nice patio. Bed too firm. Bed pillows small and few; continental breakfast not great. Never saw the owners and the women who helped out at breakfast didn’t speak English but tried to communicate with language app. So no information about the place. They could not give us extra pillows because they were ‘fully booked’. Had to message the owners to get one small extra pillow ( needed for medical reasons). The place is out of town. You can walk down but there are no sidewalks on the narrow road. The small unheated pool was found accidentally by climbing up a steep dirt path hanging onto a rope. Nice view and chairs to sit but no umbrella. Weird.

Lovely room with a good balcony which had lovely views over the mountains and Douro river, breakfast was really good with lots of choice, host was very helpful and very friendly , there was a swimming pool at the top of the property with stunning views over Pinhao and the Douro which was accessible by a steep rustic path, property is just outside of Pinhao which was an extremely busy town but within easy walking distance , parking available on site, property close to restaurants, we preferred Cais da Foz as staff very friendly and food was excellent

Dois Lugares House is one of the nicest places I've stayed! Views, lovely room with private balcony, a very comfortable bed, helpful staff & a delicious breakfast. There are a couple of excellent restaurants for dinner, wthin a 5 minute walk.) I took the train from Porto to Pinhão & got a taxi the mile or so up to Dois Lugares. (Others have walked it, but it is narrow streets with no sidewalks.) Definitely do the wine tour with Bruno. If I didn't live halfway around the world, I'd return regularly!

Everything at the B&B was perfect - Modern, clean & spacious rooms. A great balcony with fantastic views. The same for the pool area. Excellent breakfast. Above all the hosts were exceptional. Make sure you do the wine tasting opportunity which includes the vineyard tour, as this was another highlight of our stay. Their wine is an excellent example of the region. Book in advance! The passion of João and his family in building on the history of the property to create this fantastic business is nothing short of amazing. Congratulations to all involved.

Lovely room with a comfortable balcony and view down the valley. The pool was lovely and what a setting to swim and look down into the Douro Valley. We went on a tour with Bruno of his family vineyard and I would definitely recommend. It was lovely to hear the history and to actually go up into the wine terraces in his van . The wine is also extremely good. Short walk down into town over the bridge and along the river bank.

It would have been nice to have been able to make a coffee or tea in the evening..there was a kettle and machine but no cups.

Great Breakfast! Fresh fruid and Omelet in the morning. On our last day when we had to leave earlier we also got a breakfast package to take with us to the Airport. Very kind! We also took the Winetour and got guided by Bruno who explained more about the wine making process and the idea behind Dois Lagares. We highly recommend to go and try the wines (& Grapes)out. His mother is taking care of the guests in the Quinta itself. She's very kind as is the dog Rocky. (English is a bit difficult but with Google Translate is evrything understandable). Thx for evrything
