I booked two seaview rooms, one for me and one for my friend. Her's was the bigger with three large windows overlooking the sea and island. Mine, slightly smaller, had one window but also a balcony - which had fantastic views of the sea and down the street. I used the garage facility which was very secure.

My room had a kettle which I leant to my friend's room! Her room had a Nespresso-type machine which was in her room, but it leaked everywhere when I tried it. I can never understand how to work these things and I couldn't close the 'pod' lever.

Central, good security for e-bikes in garage, 24/7 front desk service, lovely rooms and very clean, service with a smile from everyone even upon room move request. Incredibly soft towels and decent beds and pillows. A lift made life easier. Great bathrooms and water pressure. The staff clearly care about their guests which was so lovely and so appreciated.

A bit warm without fan. Suggest requesting a fan prior to checking in. A bit noisy from the cobbled road but can be managed with more cidre = deeper sleep!!!

The hotel located in the historic part of the city (intramurs), which allows immediate access to the beach and a lot of the restaurants and cafes. We used the parking option, which was quite convenient. We had a room with partial sea view, which was great to observe with the cup of coffee in the morning (the facilities allow that in the room - incl. coffee, kettle etc.).

Reception guys spoke little English, but we still manage to get the info we needed. The shower can also be renovated a bit, but still serves the purpose.

Lovely room, very nicely furnished, good bathroom and there was tea/coffee & water in the room. The location was just inside the city wall against the beach. Within easy walking of the city shops & restaurants. Very friendly helpful staff. Te hotel was 'real' dog friendly as they allowed the dog into the breakfast area. Brilliant. I applaud you for this, so many so called dog friendly hotels don't allow dogs into the dining area. Why not?? All the restaurants do....

Not much to dislike....

The location is excellent, right in front of the most beautiful spot in Jarnac. Situated in the town centre, the street is quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of places nearby where you can park your car free of charge. The room is very comfortable and spacious. Highly recommended.

The temperature was 37 degrees, but the flat doesn’t have air conditioning, only a fan which doesn’t help much. Be careful with the lift – it seems safe, but it’s not entirely reliable.

The location was great in one sense. Close to the wall and great shops. The staff were very accommodating to move us down a few doors away from the noisy bars. The staff were also helpful in directions in finding services. Breakfast was fantastic!

There were two bars just a few meters away from this hotel and it was very loud til 2 am. Since it was fairly warm out, we needed to have the windows open. There was no fan. Also, recycling and garbage had to be taken out which was right at our hotel so at 5 am, that noise began.

After booking, the Hotel advised they were having to close during our chosen date. They immediately booked us into their sister hotel, the Chateaubriand. We had planned to see the Christmas markets at St Malo and this hotel was ideally located within yards of the activities and restaurants. Parking was less than 100yds from the hotel and couldn't have been easier with pre-booking. Staff were helpful and pleasant and the hotel was everything we needed. A great stay at bargain prices.

Fabulous location Quiet area - except for the noise from a pub nearby but it didn’t stay open late Great choice for breakfast - orange juice disappointing though!

Parking - despite 24 hours’ notice they didn’t have space Plenty of others in walking distance but not cheap! The communal carpet was pretty dirty looking The room was very drably painted - shame as it could have been so much brighter! Cheap shiny purple curtains!

Good location with easy walk from parking garage. Room was a reasonable size for two people. Clean and comfortable beds. Bathroom was modern/ updated but quite small. Not surprising though given age of building.

Breakfast was reasonable, although a little pricey and the layout of food was very awkward . Eating area would have been more welcoming with a better layout and a bit of music.

The location is simply perfect! close the walls of the city and in the center. The room was very clean and full of amenities. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was very well equipped. The property offers also a parking in the the garage for a fee of 18 Euros per night. I found that very convenient. The staff are very helpful and friendly and were very efficient in replying to my queries before we arrived at the hotel. At the end, the experience we had in this hotel exceeded our expectations. Also, the price is very reasonable.
