Location was good, near to the harbour. Rooms were excellent. View from the room and the property is exceptional. Menu has decent vegetarian options. Staff is very co-operative and helpful.

Beautiful villas with the most incredible view looking out at the ocean and across to Bali! The staff were really friendly and owner made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were beautiful and cozy, feeling very traditional with the bamboo and thatched roofing... however the rooms were a bit dark so you have to get used to not looking in a mirror haha. No hot water in the showers but the bathrooms stayed quite warm from the sun so it was refreshing. Bed was comfy, breakfast was a bigger portion than we expected and they were super helpful with assisting for some of our trip planning or helping with drivers when we needed! I loved all the flowers and gardens and peaceful spot so I would go back for sure!

I saw a review that mentioned the big hill to get up and down to the hotel but I didn't realize it is more off the beaten path than a map could show. Great location to keep it quieter - but you just want to prepare that you'll need extra transport to come and go. (Thankfully they had a driver on site so my group could get dropped off and picked up daily!)

The cottage offers a majestic morning view of Mount Agung, which is truly breathtaking. The interiors reflect traditional Balinese design, especially in the bedroom, balcony, and bathroom, adding a charming local touch to the stay. However, there were a few downsides. The main reason I booked this property was for the pool, but unfortunately, it was too deep throughout — over 6 feet — making it impossible to stand anywhere if you’re not a strong swimmer. There was no shallow end or safe corner to relax in. They only serve breakfast, and there is no on-site restaurant. If you don’t have your own transport (bike or car), you’ll find it hard to get food, especially since the location is uphill and quite isolated. I strongly recommend bringing food or instant noodles before checking in. That said, one kind gesture stood out — upon my request, the lady kindly served me breakfast at night, knowing I wouldn’t have access to food later. That was genuinely sweet and much appreciated.

The view from the property and pool area is exceptional. We couldn’t stop taking pictures and it was lovely and relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and so helpful. I loved the cottages and they were actually very comfortable, given they look a little rustic but that adds to their charm.

The property is cash only and I didn’t realise that when I arrived. Finding an ATM was OK but then the property didn’t have change to give me; this can be worked out by ensuring they have a float for their cash tin set up every day. Being up in the hills, there aren’t any restaurants so be prepared that you can either order takeaway (need more options) or hire a driver/taxi. Both fine options but something to consider. These were relatively small things as we only stayed two nights but something to keep in mind should you be staying longer.

An excellent cottage. The location is near enough to the main harbor, but it's on a hill, so it's better to get a scooter on rent on the harbor itself. We came by cab to the hotel because we had big luggage but the scooter rent was 100,000 idr at the hotel per day so we had to walk down the hill to go find a rental shop for a better deal. The facilities are great, their is no disturbance. The view of the open sea is excellent. The food was good and the staff and especially the reception lady are very helpful. There is a cute dog on the property as well who will greet you once you arrive.

Really nice bungalows and garden area with great pool! Breathtaking views just like in the pictures. Even though it was cloudy managed to see Mount Agung the highest volcano in Bali one morning. The staff is really nice and will help you with everything. They can store your luggage in case you arrive early. The restaurant is really handy, you can order whatever you like from morning to evening. They let you order from another restaurants close by (like Orenda) as well and fetch the food for you. Every meal, scooters etc. can be put on your room and paid in the end of your stay as one big chunk which I found useful. Value for money is extremely good with Bataran Garden!

There's really nothing major to complain about Bataran Garden. Everything worked really well during our stay. Bataran garden is a little bit far from the main port of Nusa Penida but it's really not a problem if you have access to a scooter or a driver (about 15-20mins). However, Buyuk Harbor is close by, that's where we boarded our boat to Gili Islands. The last bit of road to Bataran Garden is really difficult: steep hill with couple of hairpin turns. So just keep in mind if you are not experienced with scooter. Finally, the menu of the hotel's own restaurant only has limited options as you might expect from a small kitchen. But as said before they also have food delivery service from another restaurants!

The hotel provided a serene and peaceful atmosphere, with the tranquility of nature surrounding the property. All main attractions far away, we rented scooters. There are parking space for scooters.

Some details need renovation like terrace near the pool. Breakfast menu could be with with more possible choices. There was gecko living in room. Far away from main street. There are no hair dryer, no water heater and water in the shower wasn't hot.

the host was super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible, helping us with taxi and recommending us places to see. The pictures match the place and the attention to detail and cleanliness was great.

The only con in Nusa Penida is not a real con, but the road is very narrow and the accesses are not great if you don't ride a bike, besides that we have nothing to point out.

Overall, everything about my stay was wonderful — the comfort, the service, and the atmosphere. But the absolute highlight was the stunning view from the infinity pool. Watching the sun rise or set over Mount Agung from there was truly unforgettable. The peaceful surroundings and thoughtful touches throughout the property made the whole experience feel special. I would definitely come back just for that magical view!
