This place really grew on me. Definitely worth upgrading from the cheaper rooms, as they studios much more comfortable. Bit dated but everything you need is there, suits an older demographic I think. Very good bed & sheets, very clean, good hot water, staff lovely & access to small beach a huge plus.

The old local men that hang around the beach access stairs all day. They’re looking for work to take you snorkeling but just end up staring at you all day. As a solo female, didn’t feel comfortable lying on a subbed by the pool as they would just be staring the whole time. Even while eating in the restaurant.

Located right on a white sandy beach next to Candidasa fishing village ., the bungalows feature a small kitchen and lounge.. all rooms surround a deep swimming pool.. the staff are fantastic and the Cocktails are strong .. the resort is a favourite for people who want to totally relax .. the resort has an excellent restaurant and the adjacent village has numerous other restaurants with Waroeng Astawa being a much visited favourite .. you can snorkel right in front of the resort ::

Having to leave

Absolutely lovely place right on the beach! So peaceful and beautiful. The entire staff were absolutely wonderful, so kind and friendly and helpful in every way possible. They made us feel so welcome and happy to be there. The food was very good at the restaurant. The view from pool and lawn chairs was amazing. Sunsets awesome! Our room was huge and had a small kitchenette which was very convenient and a balcony with a beautiful ocean view.

The bathroom needs some work. Ours had a terrible sewer smell. We had to keep the bathroom door closed during our entire stay. We bought an air freshener which helped a bit but still an awful smell. The shower doors wouldn’t close properly so water would get all over bathroom floor. No bathroom counter to set your toiletries on.

Literally right on the beach, step into the ocean for snorkeling right at your doorstep. Friendly staff and locals and good food from the hotel restaurant. Watch fishing boats head out in the morning and watch them return. Great local warungs.

The snorkeling gear for hire is not good which is shame given the nearby reef. Amed is spread along a long section of coast so hiring a scooter is essential.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Great localization directly on a very quiet private beach. Food was good. Staff was super nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They made sure we had pre-packed breakfast boxes even if we had an early checkout before their breakfast hours. We went back 1 more time to this hotel because we liked it so much. Great spot only 20-30 min drive from the port of Padangbai and the ferries to the Gilis/Lombok. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, massages in the village of Candidasa.

We loved everything

The staff are the stars of the resort, Winwin, Melani, Putu, Deka to name some but not all who were very attentive to our ever need. We love the outlook of apartment 21 and whilst able to climb the steep stairs were thrilled to be back in what is now a familiar setting, plenty of space with balcony and stunning views. The bonus is the beach access, with sand that's white mixed with the black, calm waters and some minor coral and fish just off shore for a snorkeling opportunity.

Being honest the shower over bath is difficult to use, the bath itself is damaged and leaks all over the floor. Some of the electric appliances are becoming old and aren't working properly. Cracked furniture and musty smell under the sink, the curtains appear to be developing mold and would benefit from washing. it just needs some love and attention to detail.

This is a really beautiful hotel with people who go back year after year. The staff were super nice and helpful. I had a room on the third floor with a lot of steps but the view was amazing. And chose to climb the stairs but the had many rooms on the first floor with an ocean view. The pool/ restaurant area is so pretty. I didn’t spend that much time in the area but it seemed like it’s more like some of the busy area used to be. Beautiful Bali

I enjoyed my stay. I had a room with a balcony facing the sea, The view of the sea is very beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was alright. There are eateries within walking distance.

It was a little out of the way and it takes almost 2 hours drive from the airport to get there.

Loved the openness of the place. The views of the ocean and pool were pretty amazing. Very relaxed atmosphere, close to restaurants and spas. I had the Deluxe Ocean Views room. Very spacious. Great views from the verandah.

Restaurant prices were a little expensive. But this is typical for most hotels.
