The days and nights were too short for having such an amazing time.

An amazing spot for stay with your family. Quiet place with incredible shore and beautiful view. Friendly surroundings and helpful personnel of the hotel. We felt like we are at home without being physically at home. All staff of the hotel: drivers, housekeepers, receptionists, waiters and bartenders, security guards even, they all made us feel as part of their family. Everyone had been very friendly and welcomed us on their beautiful land. Hotel management is driven by enthusiasm and strong beliefs in Zanzibar as a developing tourist destination. Real adepts of Hospitality! They are organizing entertainments during evenings at the territory of the hotel, involving local tribes sharing their culture and traditions, also the live music bands, which you can enjoy while sipping from your glass of wine and smoking hookah under the palms. Thanks for your help in arranging the unforgettable journey to the Mainland for our Safari trip, appreciate all your advices for our continued trip exploring the island’s beauty. Unforgettable 10-Day Stay at The Soul Zanzibar We had an amazing 10-day (25.08-04..09.2025) family vacation at The Soul Zanzibar, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the very first moment, we were impressed by the stunning natural surroundings, the peaceful atmosphere, and the overall beauty of the location. The beach is absolutely breathtaking — clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxation or long walks. The restaurant offered delicious meals every day, with fresh and flavorful dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our sea-view rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, providing us with unforgettable sunrises and soothing ocean sounds. A special thank you to the manager, Yola, who made sure everything was perfect during our stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a big difference. We also want to thank the entire staff, who were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We left with beautiful memories and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The hotel's location, interior cleanliness, and beauty are undeniable. It's in a quiet and peaceful area. All the staff work diligently, as if they owned the hotel. The food and drinks are wonderful.

We requested twin beds but were given a double bed for our stay. We requested a room change, but unfortunately, our request was not granted. They said they could change it in the following days, but there was no further improvement. The road to the hotel is quite difficult to find. The taxi driver couldn't find it, and we drove around a lot. I think the road to the hotel should be improved, and at least some signs should be provided to guide us. However, when you enter the hotel, you encounter a completely different world.

It is located in a very quiet part of the beach, so it is both a blessing and a curse if you want to go out at night to other places, but livelier places are within walking distance and the trade off is worth it.

We travel a lot and this is one of few hotels in the world that we’d love to come back to. The hotel is super clean, the staff is just fantastic, you feel like you‘re so welcomed and appreciated. All our wishes- and more- were satisfied. They have a private beach which is not too common, so we were protected from beach boys. The hotel is very very quiet and gave us this paradise vibe, that we’ve been expecting from Zanzibar. The design is very authentic, all in wood. One specialty of this hotel that we loved was having breakfast on small wooden tables and chairs set on the sand. The food was simple and delicious, you wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. Jola, the manager, and Adam were super helpful - thanks for making our holiday amazing.

It was my first time in Zanzibar and I was so sooo scared because a lot of the places were sold out or too expensive and I was travelling alone because I’m in Tanzania for a month for work and had to see Zanzibar. Finding this beautiful hotel was definitely a sign from God. Before I even talk about the facilities, I’ll speak about how exceptional the staff is. They are kind, respectful, attentive and so welcoming. The manager was able to get an amazing human to drive me around and help me organise activities for the entire day and a verrrry reasonable rate. I was travelling alone but felt so seen, cared for and loved because of the driver and the hotel staff. At no point did I feel unsafe, used or taken for granted because I’m a tourist. The hotel was not full because it’s fairly new, and that meant I had the beach to myself at least 90% of the time. What a wonder. Ocean is literally in front of you. The stars also so bright at night. The hotel is clean, authentic and attractive to the eye. Everything feels minimal and not overdone. Fits in place. It’s not extreme extravagance, just a simple delight. It feels like home. All I wanted was a place next to the sea, what I got was a hotel made of staff that became friends. Literally wanted to hug the manager and cry when I left, because I loved being there.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and beautiful. The location by being far away from the north of the island provides a very cozy atmosphere that is further enhanced by the hotel facilities, such as the bar, beach, pool, etc. Is an excellent choice, ensuring peaceful days perfect for relaxing

Lunch and dinners. The food is a bit pricey for what they offer (lunch and dinner, breakfast was always very good). As they are just starting some aspects of the service could be improved

If you are looking for a quiet little place for relax and enjoy on the beach, this is the right place to be. The property has just been renovated. Everything is very clean, rooms, pool, dining place and also the beach. You can be bearefood everywhere. And the people there are very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much people of The Soul. You are the best. And Yola, you are managing this hotel to be a little paradise in Zanzibar.
