Check-in was so easy. Great advice on local food and the area was given upon check-in, which was incredibly helpful since we hadn't been to the area before. We liked that we could walk to any shop, no matter the need, the walk was short and on footpaths. It was quiet when we went and very peaceful. The room met our expectations and the beds were very comfy. The room was very generous in size and the layout worked well. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The bathroom also included a separate toilet, which is a bonus! The TV in the rooms was huge and positioned well so you could chill in bed and watch it. If we ever travel back to the area we would stay again.

Only thing we noticed was that the drive way entry was steep and lowered cars would struggle to get in and out without scraping.

The location was great, walking distance to everything your family needs. The rooms are good, beds comfortable, clean and quiet. Very convenient, your own car park out front and no stairs. The customer service was outstanding, Mark and Rhonda are fantastic, very friendly, easy check in, great local knowledge. Their food and coffee recommendations were spot on! Highly recommend this motel, our family will be back again.

A big room with kitchenette with all that we needed for our stay. Was great to have big fridge with large freezer as well as microwave, kettle, toaster etc. The large TV was fabulous and such a welcome change from the small screen televisions that alot of accommodation places have. The bed and pillows were comfy and the bed linen was lovely. Fabulous water pressure in the shower and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Very convenient parking and the location of the motel was ideal. Quiet, comfortable, clean and affordable. Highly recommend.

There was nothing that we didn't like about the Mariner Motel. From the friendly and efficient check in to waking up next day after a very comfortable overnight stay we were really happy. The motel room is much bigger than most and certainly is exceptionally clean and fresh. Very comfortable and well equipped. A lovely and welcome surprise was the large screen TV, the big fridge/ freezer. Always appreciate good water pressure in the shower and this didn't disappoint. Comfy bed and pillows ensured we slept well.

I'd like to give the Mariner Motel a glowing 10/10 rating based on my recent stay. Tranquil Atmosphere: The quiet ambiance added a serene touch, making my stay remarkably peaceful and relaxing. Warm Staff: The staff's friendliness and attentiveness greatly contributed to the positive vibe of the place. Dreamy Beds: The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Comprehensive Amenities: All necessary amenities were provided, leaving no room for any inconvenience. Convenient Location: The motel's proximity to town made it effortlessly accessible, enhancing the overall convenience of my stay.

Minor Considerations: Bathroom Door: The aging bathroom door lacking a lock was a slight concern. Rectifying this would undoubtedly boost security and privacy for guests. Microwave Plate Size: Although a minor hiccup, one of the plates being too large for the microwave was a small inconvenience. Ensuring all plates are of correct size would enhance guest convenience.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a lovely chat with them as I checked in. Very close to local restaurants, pubs and the local shops. It was only a short walk to a nice Thai restaurant.

Parking wasnt the easiest with the layout of the parking spaces. I had to park on an angle in the corner and hope the cars either side of me didn't hit my car when they reversed out.

The Mariner Motel is a great old fashioned motel. It was a very convenient half stop between Sydney and the Gold Coast. It is in a quiet location a short distance from the highway. The rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely to have a couple of biscuits with our cup of tea. A cafe is almost next door for an easy breakfast. There are several good options for dinner including a fantastic Italian restaurant.

Parking a bit tight & awkward to manoeuvre but ok! Hot water took long time in bathroom sink. Shower 🚿 ok! Be good to offer 🍳 breakfast?

Location was convenient. We requested an arrival one day early, and this was accommodated, but we had to change rooms from first night to our original room for remaining two nights. It first seemed that change would be avoided, but unfortunately was not. Still appreciated the extra night, just the relocation was not so convenient.

Our original booking was only possible in a room with two single beds, though of course we would have preferred a queen sized bed. Understandable circumstances, due to high occupancy, though the booking was made two months in advance, with written request for room with queen bed if available, and it was not clear that that written request had actually been read and taken into account.

Mark on reception was very friendly and helpful.. Room was a good size. Furniture and fittings were good. Beds were comfortable and had electric blankets. The cost of accommodation was reasonable. Laurieton is a good stopping point between the Gold Coast and South Sydney, particularly for older drivers. The town has at least 10 cafes and restaurants within 10 minutes of the motel. Australian, Indian, Tai, Korean, Italian, Cambodian and Chinese are represented. These were busy on Saturday so booking would be a good idea.

Everything Mark and Rhonda were absolutely amazing and helpful.. we have stayed with them 4 times now and will definitely go back.. the location is absolutely amazing aswell.. soooo close to the water and only 30 minutes from Port Macquarie..
