The room was big and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in a motel, and we travel ALOT the shower was amazing, I do love my showers and this shower was the perfect temperature, and pressure. The location was great, perfect for where we needed to be. My husband and I stayed here when it first opened many years ago and it’s still a great motel.

Unfortunately our poor neighbor was violently ill and we could hear him/her vomiting due to the bathroom windows being unable to close properly but it isn’t the hotels fault that they were sick and we definitely still had a wonderful stay.

Well appointed rooms with plenty of space to move around. Great TV. Bathroom towels were amazing. Small courtyard area out the back was a bonus.

During the night the outside light shining in the bathroom window was very bright; almost like turning the light on inside the bathroom. On arrival, two out of the three of us were told they'd been upgraded with the remaining person told they were on the opposite end of the property. Management did respond well to a request to be located closer but couldn't understand why three people on the same booking were treated differently.

The room is always clean and tidy. It has been each time I have stayed there. The staff are always helpful, and I always request a room on the ground floor (old knees don't like stairs). The eatery on the corner is the current winner of the best parmy-snitzel in NSW and I highly recommend it, actually all the food there is good and you don't have to walk far.

There are only power points on the TV wall, each time I stay on the trip down I am on my own so there is no real problem, however, travelling back I always have a friend who requires power for his cpap machine and we turn the single bed around to use the power point. So not really a problem at all.

Our room at the Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn had recently been refreshed, which was great to see. The water in the shower took a few turns of the tap before it came through, but once it did it was hot and the pressure was fine. There were security screens on the window so we were able to have our window open at night.

The pillow was too tall for me - luckily I had mine with me! The ceiling fan in our room was a little bit wobbly and noisy, so we switched it off overnight and just had a window open.

We were in Port Macquarie for a funeral and the staff allowed us to book in and change so we were ready for an afternoon funeral. The kitchenette was great for catering for our own breakfast as there were plates and bowls, kettle, toaster and microwave. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was very close to the road and we were worried that we would be woken in the morning with traffic. While this was not a real problem there was road noise in the morning.

Clean spacious room with all the amenities (and more) needed for our overnight stay. Our room included a small kitchenette which came in incredibly handy, plus an extra room with 2 x single beds for the kids.

The hotel is located closed to a pub but the room itself had plenty of soundproofing once the balcony door and windows were closed. The 2nd bedroom didn't include a fan or aircon, but we opened the door once the kids fell asleep and allowed the room to access some of the flow of aircon from the main room.

Good size room that accommodates four so we didn't need two rooms , right across the road from our relatives and close to settlement city for shops, conformable and modern

Seating on the grass out the back would have been nice, the seats in the room courtyard were very uncomfortable and only two of them while we had four people.Toilet got blocked at one point and the impression was given that it was our fault

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, only let down was the shower pressure and that it kept going hot then cold. But I think that is because so many on the system using the water. That was the only let down but happy to stay there again as very clean & close to things that we needed.

Staff were so so friendly! Very thoughtful and cheerful. The room was clean, well equipped. We appreciated the bowls, plates, microwave, toaster, cutlery and decent sized mugs. The little courtyard out the back of our room by the pool was a lovely spot for the kids to play safely.

The bed was really soft and we rolled into each other all night. This was the only issue, and the place was so lovely that I hate to bring it up!

The room was very clean and spacious, however the shower door leaked causing water to pool in front of the loo. The access to the property was a little odd as it was also the entry to the downstairs office or storeroom, and as the hotel is located on the main road into town the traffic was quite noisy at night.

There were many pillows to choose from, however they were all really large, a basic medium size pillow would have been wonderful.
