The location of this timeless hotel is perfect for those that like to walk and sightsee. The beautiful coastline and cafes and restaurants and art galleries were at your doorstep. Great friendly staff and parking on site, art deco decor in common areas and lounge.

Room was a little tired. I didn't mind the basic type of room with ensuite but there were a few minor repairs to be done to keep it looking it's price point. I couldn't get out onto my verandah unless I climbed thru a window.

The manager and the staff were kind, obliging. Happy and helpful. And generous in time and effort.

An Art Deco Make over. Which would cost millions . But the original features still shine through.. The shared kitchen facility saved me heaps for breakfasts. But DO MARK your fridge items with room number. An overall good experience. Worst thing was the Fiday Saturday night Bands until 2am. Thanks everyone. Robyn.

The location was superb. The beds were the most comfortable we'd ever slept on. The linen and room were clean. Nice outdoor balcony. It is a basic pub stay.

I'd booked parking as we had an elderly 96 year old lady with us but on arrival I was told there are only 10 car spaces and it's first in best dressed. It was full, as people drinking at the pub also use them. The staff then advised to park a 5 min walk away. I rang prior to booking and checked that parking could be booked and that the room was air conditioned. I wouldn't have booked if there wasn't parking or air conditioning. I was told when I rang that "all our rooms are air conditioned"... ours wasn't and it was a really hot day.

It's an old building with a historical feel to it. It's located right in the heart of town. Staff were freindly and check in/out was quick and easy.

It wasn't clear where parking was allocated. The room was small but it was clean and comfortable. Because of the location, there was quie a bit of noise through the night. But overall I think these were very minor issues.

Absolutely cracking little hotel bang in the centre of everything you need in town . Staff are all really friendly and helpful. If anyone's it some nightlife at the weekend This is the hotel to be. So I wouldn't advise coming for a quiet one. At the weekends thru the week it's very chilled food great drinks cheap enough. Handy for the bottleo in the same building for your booze and cigarettes. I will be back

One of the nights i was put in a room without Aircon was the worst sleep ever with the heat. The fan didn't kill it. In my line of work I work outdoors in the sun all day. Nice to have a bit of Aircon to cool me down to prep myself for another 10 hours out in the heat. That was sorted out the following day and placed into another room. Wich was great. complaint is upgrade Aircon. A staff member did mention that this was happening soon 🤘 ohh and 100 percent usb ports in the rooms to charge phones ect.

One Beauty & benefit of staying at the Port Macquarie Hotel is the location of the Hotel. It is the very centre of the city & walking distance to almost everything you need to go to.

A bar fridge in the hotel room for medication would be great.

Room is basic, could be a little fancier with fewer amenities like a microwave & kettle. I understand the cheap pricing but still, basic rooms could still be nicer. I'm no expert, this is just a suggestion, I am not complaining; I am a happy customer. Staff members were friendly and helpful. There was secure but open parking space within the vicinity (behind the bottleshop). If anyone arrives with a long or a big car; parking can be a little tricky!

The single rooms were very basic, but were clean & confortable. And as expected with regard to the pricing. The bathrooms & toilet were very clean. The Art Deco decor was beautiful & love that the heritage of this hotel has been retained!

The guest fridge was not working, but was getting fixed the next day. I was travelling with both refrigerated & frozen goods & the staff were accomodating with my needs in another fridge & freezer. Unfortunately the fridge they used was also not working, but the freezer was ok.

Lack of parking when parking spot was specifically requested. Drove around 2 evenings for more than 1/2 hour after work trying to find a suitable park, which could not be found. there should be specified parking for all guests available.

Central to port Macquarie. Good restaurant, local wines featured in the bar. Entertainment was good . Bed was comfortable and good pillows .

Some maintenance needed to the wall in the bathroom.
