This was a last minute reservation for me and the reception was very helpful. Opposite from Botanical Gardens. Walkable to grocery stores and some restaurants. The rooms are well insulated and warm for the winter. Breakfast was provided in the form of coupons which you could get a big feed from. The selection was nice too.

Corridor noise can be heard through the door. This didn't bother me too much.

It was difficult to find the hotel entrance when dropped off by taxi, a sign above the entrance door would be useful. No instructions to connect to wifi in room, once connected it did not connect everywhere in hotel and needed another password for reception area. Breakfast was not a good experience.

The rooms are very new, clean and modern. The location is quite central and close to city highlights.

The heating was not switched on so the first night it was very cold. They provided electric heating for the 2nd night. There is construction going outside so it was loud.

The lady at the reception (Shyrailym) was very helpful and tried to fix and address my issues / requests immediately. The location of the place is really good and there are a lot places such as coffee shops, cafes, grocery shops etc.

It was my second reservation (I made two reservations, as Astans was a transfer city for my main destination). On my second reservation, I again had an issue with getting the room I reserved on Booking, i.e. the suite room. The lady at reception was really nice to find me the room, which I booked, so the problem was solved but still left some uncomfortable feelings. On Booking it states that the suite room has an air conditioning; however, the room I stayed in had none. The windows of the room I was provided looked at the construction site, so a lot of noise (plus, all windows of the room had to be stayed open, as there was no air conditioning). Internet (wi-fi) was not working during the period of my whole stay.

The location of the place is really great - next to the botanical garden with many shops, grocery markets, places to eat good food and drink good coffee. The personnel are very helpful and it shall be understood that they are not responsible for the reservations and the reservation related mess ups.

I booked a suite room upfront but it was a great surprise when I was given a queen room after my check-in. Only after I went to the reception (you will not be able to contact the reception via a phone as there are no phones in the rooms) and showed my reservation on Booking, my room was changed to the suite. There is an air conditioner in the suite room but there is no remote controller, so you would not be able to use it (unless you download a specific app on your mobile phone - an undesired quest for a very tired traveller during a really hot weather). There is a sofa in the living room but good luck sitting on it, the springs are so deformed that you would almost touch the floor if you try to sit on it.
