First of all - location is brilliant. Bayterek monument is just in one block, and Nurzhol bulevard, too. A lot of restaurants, caffees and trade centers here. Starting from normal and up to exclusive shopping. 2,5 kms to Astana Opera, Botanic Garden, Central Park and Khan Shatyr area. Breakfast, pesonnel, services were awesome!

Traffic issues during morning \ evening hours are awful. We late to the Opera for 10 minutes due inability to order taxi for less than 20 minutes to wait. So we preffered to reach Astana Opera by walk. Take traffick jams in account! Mess in documents. We were in need to split bill as paid. Reception forget about it and we didn't control. CHECK YOUR OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS FOR REIMBERSMENT CAREFULLY!

We stayed in a Premium King Room which was huge and exactly what we needed. The hotel is a little “tired”, especially in the corridor areas but the room was beautiful and very large, with a gorgeous view. The location is good, very close to everything we wanted to see in Astana, and the bedding was extremely comfortable, which is very important for us!

Breakfast was a bit disorganised and the food was always lukewarm, which was disappointing. It is a pretty small breakfast room for so many guests and they maybe had a staff shortage as things were not cleared or replaced fast enough to keep up with the demand. We were a little disappointed that the advertised Indian Restaurant on the ground floor had very few Indian meals on the menu and was completely without atmosphere as it was totally empty! We dined elsewhere.

Great location, comfortable spacious rooms, especially premium rooms with king-size beds. Friends in the double rooms with 2 twin beds had much less space. Hotel can call a taxi, as they are difficult to impossible to flag down on the street. Even better, download the YANDEX GO app, which works like Uber.

Additional 5% tax beyond the total price quoted on booking.com. The tax was never mentioned on booking.com.

Boy (on reception) did not know kazakh. Asked question in kazakh, replied in russian. I think person which works reception (in Kazakhstan) have to know at least kazakh and russian languages together. It was very discomportable.

Comfortable room. Staff on front desk were friendly and helped us book a trip to Alzhir with an English speaking taxi driver who was really friendly. Location is good if you want to be near the modern part of town.

Breakfast was a bit weird - every day they were blaring Afrobeats or rap videos on a giant TV screen which felt a bit unnecessary at 8am. It didn’t fit the clientele of the hotel, who seemed to be business people or some families with kids. If we have to have the TV on with music, it would be better to experience some local Kazakh music, but I’d prefer no TV at all. Some of the food kept running out (milk, some of the hot food) and the bread was low quality, not fresh. Would have been nice to have some bananas too.

I had a pleasant stay at Best Western Plus Astana. The room and bathroom were very clean, and I appreciated the complimentary bottled water provided each day. Breakfast was good, with a few options available, and everything was fresh and nicely presented. Location is a key - close to the famous Nurzhol Boulevard and just few minutes walk to Bayterek tower, surrounded by cute cafes and good restaurants.

The only thing I would note is that the reception staff could be a bit more welcoming.

We have gone for one of the premium rooms and it was very nice and large room, with a view of the government buildings. Excellent central location. Most of the modern Astana attractions are within walking distance. A few nice cafes and restaurants just around the corner. A bank branch next door is handy for cash withdrawals for changing currency. Staff were friendly and very helpful with arranging transfers to and from the airport.

Air con took a while to get going, when we first checked in the room was unbearably hot. Bathroom could do with a bit of updating, some cracked tiles. Breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Good location of the hotel to visit main attractions by walk. A couple of supermarkets in shopping malls are nearby and a lot of cafes and restaurants. Room was enough spacious but air conditioner temperature is managed only by staff. Good breakfasts, enough to don't be hungry. Plus one more star for meat samsa on breakfasts.

If you are on breakfast after 9:00AM you need to be ready to meet a problem to find clear table, clear plate or glass. There are no overcrowds hence it is just staff problem to clear all after other visitors immediately. There was some small problems with quantity of towels but had been resolved by staff quickly.

The hotel is very well located making for easy walking of the promenades and sights. Lots of cafes and resataurants nearby. The breakfasts were good with a wide selection. Staff were very attentive when you could get their attention.

Just another hotel with limited staff means that room cleaning is varied, and requests to room service for towels (because they took the old ones and didnt replace them) went unattended. The counter staff were always under the pump dealing with new arrivals, so requests other than for checkin was difficult.

Good location in center of Astana. Very polite staff; especially lady on reception (I forgot her name - may be, Akuna). Her smile and explanations "compensated" some unexpected cases. Breakfasts were very tasteful and variety of dishes was OK. Price and quality have good balance!

When I arrived, hotel had no hot water in rooms. But this problem was solved next evening! Overall expression: Kazakhstan "BW" has little bit lower level than many Europeans BW.
