We had an incredible stay, and the host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They provided excellent recommendations for the best restaurants and their specialties, as well as the top beaches to visit. The accommodation was stunning, with brilliant ocean views. The cabin was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities were perfect. We enjoyed the tranquil and peaceful setting, with the soothing sounds of the ocean. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone and will definitely return for another stay.

We booked three rooms at Zuider Zee, each with its own arrangement. Beds were very comfortable and everything was on hand for basic self-catering. Gavin was friendly and extremely helpful with tips on where to go. One of the cats was particularly people-friendly. Parking was secure behind locked gates.

Log cabin is beginning to show wear and tear.

Doesn’t feel like you are staying inside a town. Feels more like living inside a tropical forest with an ocean view. The hosts were incredibly kind. I was unable to stay 2 evenings like I planned, and even at super short notice the hosts decided to only charge me for the one evening. I also forgot my charger and they sent me a whatsapp the next morning after I left - luckily I was still in town and could go back for it. Such a comfortable peaceful place. Looking forward to going back!

The reception was good. Constant checkups to make sure that our stay was excellent. Freedom to view and choose our room. Gavin's humbleness and friendliness in engagements as well as tips on what to do during our stay. The Big Big bonus, was to offer us a No Timed check out. We ended up checking out around about 12PM. This made us feel like a visiting family.

My stay at Zuider Zee Guesthouse in Salt Rock was amazing! Gavin, the host, was incredibly kind, helpful, friendly and organized. The place was safe, neat, tidy, super clean and cozy, and it's in a great location. I felt safe and cared for the whole time, and Gavin even made sure I got in okay when my flight was delayed. Can't wait to stay here again next time I'm in Salt Rock!

It was very peaceful, the bed was comfortable but what I love the most if the view , I can see the sea from my bedroom and I could hear the clashing wave during night time. Definetely will book it again for future use.

The wifi was not working during my stay but it was fine without it as I only stayed for a night. But is I stayed for another night I would expecting the wifi should be working.

Great location in Saltrock. Situated on the hilltop with a beautiful view of the sea. Lovely cool breeze at times. Situated in a leafy garden with lots of bird life. I appreciated the swimming pool. Gavin was helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Loved the little Cottage with the view over the ocean. Everything you need. Perfect for a few nights in Ballito.

Due to the load shedding the ventilation in the bathroom did not really work, so there was a bit of a smell in these hours. When the electricity came back, everything was fine again.

The owner is very friendly. The room has everything from an iron, utensils, stove, microwave, fridge...if you are looking for a peaceful clean place, this is the one. We are definitely going back.
