The hotel is well located and absolutely gorgeous, while its size also makes it fairly private and serene. The restaurant staff and menu were pristine (I had the daily breakfast and dinner, twice and was satisfied) - I would go back again and again just for that part alone. The curated entertainment by the pool makes for a great addition as well.

The placement of the pool by the restuarant/bar area that is accessible to the public isn't ideal. A separate facility for hotel guests would be great, to allow for relaxation for whatever desired periods; without the fullness of people and the overall noise levels of outside patrons.

On arrival, we were greeted warmly, parking was perfect and undercover, and check-in took a few minutes. Maybe drinks on arrival is an option. Perfect location, just a walk down to the beach. We did not book the ocean view room; however, we enjoyed the lush surroundings and the tranquil atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly. Your restaurant offers delicious meals, your menu including your sushi option was very impressive. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good variety of options to choose. I was celebrating my birthday and was treated to a lovely complimentary treat of your delicious cheesecake. Many thanks to you and your friendly staff for making this day extra special. We had a very comfortable stay at Coco De Mer and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday or a week-end getaway.

Upon my arrival I had to carry my luggage up the stairs so I assumed there was no lift because the person who welcomed me didn't say anything. When leaving it was to my surprise when I saw one but read that it was for paraplegic use only. The lady who checked me out however was great help in assisting me with my luggage. So maybe information can be provided consistently and courteously especially for a first timer. When food was brought to my room, it was always uncovered and exposed.

It’s a lovely place, cute, very well prepared team and always supportive. Meals was allways super, specially the Italian cuisine. Rooms are modern, big and comfortable with nice views- beech and forest.

Maintenance team had to do small Work on water leaking but forgot to advise. We got to the room back from the beach, and the water was closed. Promptly solved by the reception, when we let them know about the water closure. It was a matter of reopening.

Breakfast was brilliant , restaurant was excellent. There was a leak on our roof- Room 2-and the entire night the rain fell on the plafon and make a terrible noice. The entire plafon was damaged . Lady at reception just said she can not move us , will send a contractor to have a look etc..

Coco de Mer is a nice little place to stay, offering a combination of convenience and beauty. The location is ideal, just a short stroll away from both the beach and nearby shops, making it easy to enjoy the best of what the area has to offer. The property itself is pretty, with well-maintained surroundings that add to the overall charm.

While Coco de Mer is a beautiful property in a great location, my experience was marred by a lack of communication from the staff. Unfortunately, they didn't inform us that breakfast was included, nor did they provide clear directions to the facilities like the pool and other amenities. This oversight was a little annoying, as we missed out on some of the offerings simply because we weren't aware of them. Clearer guidance from the staff would have made a significant difference in our overall experience.

Great hotel and restaurant - the rooms are lovely. Our rooms overlooked the back garden where there are lots of birds which was wonderful.

The hotel kindly changed our room location as they have rooms above the bar which is super noisy over the weekend. Make sure you don't stay in those rooms if you're not partying as the music reverberates into the rooms on a Friday night!

The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Perfect environment to unwind. As a single woman, I felt very safe and comfortable. The staff are all amazing. The double bonus is the restaurant on the ground floor! Breakfast is superb, actually all their food is top notch. Well done Coco De Mer & Fiamma Grill. I’ll definitely be back!!

There’s nothing to not like about this place.

The stay at Coco De Mar was superb . From the warm hospitality of the staff to the cleanliness of the restaurant and pool area was magnificent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, Fabien has done an excellent job in that regard. The overall experience was fantastic, a truly world-class gem in the heart of Ballito on Compensation Rd. This is the prime-time boutique hotel in Ballito to stay at.

The noise over the weekends due to the bar area being a local watering hole for Ballito resident can be slight annoying sometimes.

Very close to the beach. Beautiful sea and forest view. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attended to complaints / concerns quickly. Breakfast was great. Ideal holiday for a single mom and child compared to camping or self help facilities. It felt like an effortless and pleasant holiday. Would definitely go back.
