The photos on booking website don't do this any justice. We had a great room, high up on the hill. It was so strange that we had to drive so high up to get to our floor. It was Mad. The crazy thing about it was to attend the breakfast on the ground floor in the main building, we had to take 2x lifts. This was def the first. It was def an experience to stay at this hotel. The staff were all great, the service was great. It was the first hotel that supplied towels and umbrella to go to the beach. We would def come here again. We loved our 4x days in Kefalonia and in the Bay Palace.

The only thing that was a slight negative was the amount of parking right at the top. It would be great to have that section pages with lines to forever others to park in there spaces

Lovely views, excellent pool, large room with large terrace

First impressions good, but the staff in the restaurant were awful. We put it down to lack of training. Awful service and not very good English, which you need in hotels with a large number of English staying. The food was dire. Both my steak and my husbands salmon were over cooked and very dry. We ended up leaving it. I would recommend this hotel only if you don't eat dinner here. The breakfast was good though

Quiet place and very friendly, helpful staff & management. Professional room service . Surprisingly good and rich breakfast in a amazing setting.

Maria the receptionist and the Manager of the hotel were really nice and professional. The hotel location was amazing, at the end of one of the prettiest towns in Kefalonia with plenty of shops, boat tours and restaurants, so I would recommend to select the B&B The swimming pool area was really beautiful and relaxing, with plenty of beds and no one was reserving them with towels. There is a small beautiful white pebble beach 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Breakfast was really self service buffet with plenty of options to choose from fresh products.

The air-conditioning was not working correctly so at night time it was really hot in our room. There are plenty of steps at the hotel and a steep hill, so it might be an issue with people with restricted mobility but it was no problem for us as it meant we had a place with fantastic views and very quiet.

We absolutely adore this hotel! We have just returned from our second visit and have already rebooked for next year! The setting is impossibly beautiful and tranquil and we immediately feel at home upon our arrival. The Kefalonia Bay is elegant and classy without being 'showy'. The climb up the hill is challenging in the heat and not everyone's cup of tea but how else can you find such an idyllic and iconic location? Our rooms were serviced promptly every day, ready and waiting for us to return from the beach after lunch for a welcome siesta! The pool is wonderful and so are the cocktails there! No need to carry money as you can give your room number and pay when you check out. Honestly, we have never stayed anywhere else quite like this and for lovers of Agia Efimia and peace and quiet it is utterly perfect! Don't go changing please, you are just right as you are!

We did ask for the music to be turned down at the pool bar and our request was granted swiftly and without fuss.

The location is amazing, lovely being at the end of the busy street and not in it. The views are absolutely magnificent. Very close to an awesome little swimming beach and close to all the restaurants.

We stayed here with a large group for our wedding and Kefalonia Bay Palace were so accommodating, the facilities were great & suited our needs perfectly. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and the pool & bar were great. The view is spectacular and unmatched in the town given the location. The layout was lovely, it didn’t feel like a hotel, more like a group of villas and apartments which meant you had privacy.

One small criticism is that the pool area doesn’t have a toilet, meaning you have to go back into the hotel to use the facilities. A lot of the reviews mention the climb required to get into your room/villa, this really isn’t an issue. My 90 year old grandmother was perfectly fine and they made sure she was comfortable getting to and from her room regardless, they made sure she was in a room that could be accessed mainly by lifts. There are a few steep inclines but it’s the price you pay for such an amazing view.

The outside space of the villa was exceptional with superb views across the bay. The pool was amazing, brilliant size for a cooling swim. Location was perfect near a choice of tavernas, supermarkets and bakery.

The room was small with too much furniture resulting in limited space when opening the wardrobe and terrace doors. Overall the accommodation was tired. The hotel is situated up a hill so may not be suitable for some as it is quite a step.

It really feels like paradise. It's on the edge of the island and the city with a breathtaking view and beuatiful enterier. The staff was welcoming and kind - I had a great chat with one of the receptionist; they gave us a parasol to the beach and a medicine for sunburn, without a word. It's very clean and we spent most of our time at the pool when we didn't feel like going to the crowdy beaches.

My one and only concern was that is a good 15 minute walk up on the mountain from the city.

I wasn't happy with my room to begin with, but the receptionist was able to change our room so was very happy. Breakfast was good - coffee machine was not good - so just had juice. Views are amazing and the lifts were really needed as there are so many stairs. Pool was lovely and always plenty of sun beds.

There was a bar, but was never open in the evening - we did get a drink there one time as i think other guests had asked reception if they would open the bar. It is a good idea to have it open as after the walk back to the hotel after dinner in the village it is always nice to have a nightcap.
