La Maison Radha was exceptionally clean and Sam ensured we had everything we needed from beginning to end of our stay. We had the elephant room, which was next to the kitchen area. The fridge was super useful, as was the water dispenser (we could get water from there and pop it in the fridge to stay cool). Really liked the fact we had a lockable safe as well. Our room was comfortable with plenty of space. Sam directed us to a great massage place and brought in a yoga teacher for me, also great and I had two early morning classes one to one. Location was good. A 15 min walk to the sea front. Sam gave us a map with all the key spots to visit, best restaurants to go to etc. Would def recommend.

Words cannot describe how incredible my stay was here. Firstly of all from the time of booking I had both Ravi and Sam message to let me know if I needed anything from transport to other activities that I could inform them in advance. There was no pressure to ask for money upfront like some places do upon booking. Upon arriving I was blown away till the end by the kindness and generosity of Ravi, Sam and the whole team. They instantly made it feel like another home. I feel incredibly blessed to have been here as I got the whole experience of Pondicherry whilst always being able to rest in a quiet and peaceful area of his neighbourhood. Additionally Ravi would always check in me to see if I was okay and how my day was going and he even let me store my rented bicycle inside at night. If you need transport arranged from Chennai definitely use Ravi as it is cost effective and the driver is great too. Thank you Ravi for the upgrade to the Maharaja room. I highly recommend choosing this room if you can.

Sam and Ravi were both beyond helpful with all kinds of questions and issues. The room and bathroom were very clean. It was nice to have a kitchen/dining area for preparing food. The location is good if you want to shop or explore at night

My room was very noisy as it was at the front of the house. I had asked for a balcony room, not realising that the room would look out onto the street. I do not recommend this room. I The roof area could not be used for most of my stay which made things feel quite confined. For the first few days I was given a kind of tea towel as a bath towel. There was no bathroom mat so it meant wet feet in the bedroom or using the only towel to dry feet first. When the room was cleaned the teatowels were replaced by a real towel which was much better

STOP LOOKING La Maison Radha was a perfect stay, good location close walking distance to essentials and most attractions or hire a bicycle just a 2min walk away to collect for 80rp per day The room was great, simple, colourful and comfortable, off main roads so generally nice and quiet. Sam the manager is so great and will help with any information, detailed map provided with soooo much information, very helpful to navigate around Pondicherry I ended up staying extra nights i felt so comfortable If breakfast was included i would have given a 10☆ High security at the property, that was important as a solo female traveller Enjoy your adventures Thankyou for having me 🙏

Sparkling clean and extremely tidy homestay, a functional shared kitchen, nice dining area and a lovely rooftop terrace. It's located at a pleasant and quiet residential street off a main road, it's less than 15 minutes walk to the charming white town / French colony with plenty quality European style cafes and restaurants. Our host Sam is very friendly and helpful, he provided with a hand drawn map showing all the attractions, eateries and tips. He speaks fluent English, and seems to be speaking French as well. As uber doesn't cover Pondicherry, Sam kindly organised an auto for us going to our next destination.

We only have one day in Pondy, we wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay with Ravi and his family very much. Everyone was very helpful and polite. The room and the communal area are wonderfully clean and come with a lovely design, it actually feels like a fusion of a cool backpacker hostel and the home stay that it actually is. Whenever we needed helped with our travel planning or renting a scooter, Ravi was there for us. Breakfast (either continental or Indian version available) was very reasonably priced and decent, even though Pondicherry has so many great food options that we only used the in-house breakfast twice, but much appreciated. Really helpful owner Ravi and Sam who worked there. When I arrived, they gave me an insight into the local area with a really helpful map. They are happy to organise a trip or a tuktuk. It was a good location and I felt safe.Delicious Indian breakfast for 200 rupees ( a little more expensive than other places) Lovely communal roof terrace. Communal kitchen Spacious accommodation. I would recommend.

Staff went above and beyond — Sam helped us in advance to book a train to Bangalore, then he and his boss continued to be helpful throughout our stay, even providing a map with personalised recommendations for food, sights, cafes etc. Room was comfy and cheerful (murals!). Helpful to have a communal kitchen.

Only socket for charging was halfway up the wall, and plugs didn’t balance in there very well, so a bit tricky to charge devices. The other socket used for a bedside lamp was faulty, and right at the head of the bed and we were uncomfortable sleeping next to it as a potential fire hazard, so we moved our bed round.

Sam and Radish are gems... they are always available for advising on visit, booking bus for next destination, SiM card.. At the arrival they gives you a map with all the good stuff (restaurant, place to see etc..) the Rooftop has a little cabin with a fan where you can hangout all day even though pondicherry is super noisy the guesthouse is super quiet 15 minutes walk to the beach and French quarter

The property was great. Well located and you have access to an open kitchen and a rooftop terrace.

You do not get proper towels but something that resembles long tea towels. I wasn’t sure if I should use them at 1st. Locking and unlocking the doors front gate and room door is a bit unusual as you receive a key to a lock which could be opened by anybody as far as the room door is concerned. I thought 900 inr for a class of yoga was quite a rip off.
