Central location. Good restaurant (L'Amoricaine) across the square and a very nice bistro (Bergamot) very close. Room was smaller than expected but large balcony was a bonus in the good weather we enjoyed.

We missed two functions because of the lack of a good taxi service. On the first evening we came down to the lobby and asked for a taxi and were informed that one really needs to order a day in advance! People at the front desk tried to order one for well over an hour and the taxi services either did not answer or said nothing was available. The second time the taxi arrived more than 20 minutes late, too late to meet the cruise round the bay we were booked on. Perhaps the hotel should consider offering a service, especially for disabled visitors like my wife?

Room was great, comfortable and clean. We were overlooking the square. Booked the sauna, had the sole use of it and the relaxation room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! it surpassed my expectations. Green tea was loose leaf. Great choices of good quality local butters, cheeses, etc as well as all the the other things you would expect. really was the best hotel breakfast I have every had. (they also had a juicing station - didn't use it, just thought it was good to see)

We had a fantastic stay at the Golden Tulip. The staff were so accommodating and could not do enough for us. We got engaged this weekend and the staff helped my (now) fiancé with so much of the behind the scenes preparation. Our ferry back to the channel islands was cancelled, and the staff moved mountains to enable us to work remotely in the conference room, and to stay in the suite we were in. The bar staff were also so helpful with recommendations for St Malo. It is clear everyone loves working there, which makes all the difference.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived by car and it was raining. The mademoiselle at reception came out to our car and insisted on carrying our bags to the hotel, came back out to help with parking in the hotel’s underground garage and then refused to accept our attempts to tip her for her efforts. We were equally pleased with our room and breakfast, as well as the location of this hotel which is immediately adjacent to the ramparts.

My only complaint is that the weather was not cooperative for much sightseeing in Saint Malo. Despite the high winds and intermittent drizzle, however, we managed to walk the ramparts and get in a little touring of the town and its beautiful harbor. The beaches will have to wait for our next visit!

Our room was outstanding! We had a beautiful view over the park where you could see children playing, you could hear the church bells ringing and people walking through the park. :-) J'aime ca. ;-) <3 We took a convenient ferry over to Dinard, spent the day there and their beaches are equally as beautiful.

Directions to the parking garage would have been appreciated before we lugged our luggage up those cobblestone hills and steps. Otherwise, once we parked it was great. ;-)

- Great, central location within the city walls. Close to all the main sights, but still nice and quiet, so had a good sleep. - Very friendly, professional staff, who anticipated what we needed, before we asked for it. - Nice, modern room with comfortable bed. Had a great sleep. - We liked the body lotion, shower gel, etc. - Dog friendly (not just dog tolerant).

- Dog charge is a little high, especially given that the room was under-occupied. (Per stay, would be fine, but not each night.)

The hotel staff were very good(particularly the young man on reception). The food in the restaurant was delicious and beautifully cooked.The waiting staff were excellent & very attentive. Beautiful setting in the centre of a magnificent city.Perfect for people watching & very close to all the wonderful shops.

The room needed a paint update, scuffed skirting boards & marks on the walls. For the money charged I expected the room to be immaculate... We had drinks before dinner both outside & in; the bartender was EXTREMELY slow to take orders & we had to go to the bar / ask. Not good enough for a hotel of this calibre.

Beautiful hotel smack bang in the best location of St Malo. Just a few minutes to reach everwhere. Staff were particularly helpful. We were driving our own car and were given a spot right outside the hotel which is quite secure. They also have spaces underground in the public car park under the square next to the hotel which we chose not to use. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.

Room was a tad tight with limited storage but it is what we ordered so not a complaint. Wi-fi was not good which was a disappointment otherwise all pretty good and would stay again.

Bed was comfortable. Good room size. Nice shower with fixed overhead and flexible fixtures. Bar and restaurant very good. Food was delicious. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. A modern place with great interior design appeal. Comfortable areas on the main floor to relax and chill. Wonderful terraced patio in front with cushioned furniture, tables and umbrellas. Fitness center small but decent. Secure keycard system for doors and elevator. Safe in room. Really nice curtains on the windows and the windows opened. Lighting was sophisticated and appealing. Bathroom was clean and modern. Not huge, but bigger than most European hotel bathrooms. Nice toilet.

Shower door swung in and out and didn't retain shower water unless you set up the towel right up on it. Bathroom door was frosted glass and didn't afford privacy. The room did not have a dresser for clothes. The luggage stand shared space with a few coat hangers on a rack. No mini fridge.

Great location. Communal areas were smart and classy and rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Super comfortable beds. Very quiet yet central location.

Tried to have dinner one night and the Maitre D’ rather rudely turned us away despite there being plenty free tables. It was disappointing. We liked having a separate toilet cubicle in the rooms but would have preferred if there was a wash hand basin in with the toilet - it wasn’t very hygeinic to have to walk through the room and open doors, turn on lights etc. to wash hands.
