Great value for money if you're planning on staying one night in the city, before your visit to the Machu Picchu site. Location is great, the bus stop is only 3 min away. The hotel offers breakfast starting with 05.00 which is great if you have tickets early in the morning.

Breakfast options can improve a bit

The bed was king size and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water, a rare commodity if you have been to Cusco. The breakfast was diverse and plentiful. It also starts at 5 am so you have plenty of time to enjoy it even if you are the earliest bird. The staff was helpful with storing our luggage while visiting Machu Picchu and the lady in the reception was full of smiles! Overall, a decent place for an one night stay.

First impressions were not that good, as it took them a while to hand over our keys and the room was tiny. I do not recommend paying extra for the room with mountain view, as you are mostly blocked by nearby monstrous construction sites.

We had an amazing experience at Fenix Hotel! Communication was excellent, they met us at the train station upon arrival into Aguas Calientes as we were short on time and helped us get bus tickets to Machu Picchu. The check in process was very smooth and we used the in house massage service which was great. The room we had was small but cosy and clean. Exactly what we wanted. Breakfast the next morning was very nice. Lots of variety and in a beautiful large dining room with great views. Overall a magical stay and we can't recommend any higher.

breakfast with views was excellent and staff were amazingly accommodating. Room was a little small but very clean and had everything required. Location is very central and literally only a 5minute walk from train station. Staff member even walked to the station to meet us in the rain which was a pleasant surprise as it was almost 10pm at night and we were over navigating for the day. They also have lockers for excess luggage after checkout and while you do your day trips.

Nothing not to like.

The owners went all the way to help make our stay comfortable. I sprained my ankle and could not walk, Norma helped with organising wheelchair to transport me without me asking. She bought our bus tickets, arranged for a guide and even brought our luggage to the station so that we can collect them after Machu Pichu. We were very touched with their kind gestures. Wonderful people. Room was comfortable for family of four.

Nothing nothing.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Peru in terms of variety! Aguas Calientes is a fun town and the hotel is a short walk from everything. The power went out for several hours overnight during our stay, but it didn’t seem to affect everything. They let us store our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu after checking out.

Strong cleaning chemical smell in the room when we got there.

- tub was not draining properly but managed - 6th floor roof was leaking due to rain but staff were there to attend to it

Staff were amazing really going the extra mile to accommodate us, like meeting us from the train and letting us store bags when we had checked out. Breakfast was very tasty and they start very early to allow you to go to Machu Picchu for opening. Beds are very comfortable and there is a good TV. I would highly recommend this place.

One minor thing is it can be a little difficult to get the temperature right in the shower.

Staff was great, especially Christian:)) We were here during my birthday and he made sure I felt special on my big day:))) Thank you, Christian!! Room was simple, but nice and the shower was great. Wifi worked well and the breakfast was nice. The location was perfect and made it easy to get around.

The staff here is incredible. Especially the lady at the front desk. I lost my phone in aguas calientes and she found it, contacted my friend and returned it to me herself two days later in Cusco! Full marks to this place just for her! Over and above that the rooms were very clean and with bathtubs, it's very well located and the breakfast was really good.
