The location of the hotel is excellent. A few steps near the buses to the site. And the best thing is the staff. They make the stay great. They were waiting for us at the train station. And they escorted us to the train at the end. They helped me with everything I wanted. They arranged a wheelchair for me in advance. They helped me realize my mother's dream and I thank them for that.

We had dinner in a restaurant. The atmosphere is heavy. The place is really bright. The service is slow. The food is not that tasty and expensive. But that's not a problem. There are many restaurants nearby and double the buffet with live music. So the hotel is really excellent.

1st , we were informed that we got a room upgrade upon arrival. Our room was on the 5th floor, Like the one in the picture, a king bed with a sun room enclosed patio with a jacuzzi tub in it. It was right on the River with a beautiful view. Diana at the front desk was very frindly and helpful in holding our luggage safely while we went to Machu Pichu after we checked out. Edwin from the hotel greeted us at the train when we arrived at the station, and he walked us a very short distance to the hotel. The restaurant food and ambiance was fabulous! Dinner and breakfast was included in in the price of the room...Its ran like a 4 star restraunt..gourmet food, professional service...The room was clean and comfortable, upscale.

The hotel is very clean with very nice decor. Everyone was very friendly and we were treated very well. The restaurant was very good and all the restaurant staff very nice. A special thanks to Erick, Monica, and Alcides, the manager, for making our stay extra special.

Just a few suggestions: Be more clear on how close hotel is to train station. Maybe include a map because when we arrived on the train, it was very confusing. We didn’t realize hotel was so close! The meals at the restaurant were excellent but maybe add some snack options for people who don’t want a full meal. Lastly, please tell cleaning people to not throw away perfectly good soap. This happened throughout our stay and it’s very wasteful.

They could work on the WiFi

The location was perfect and very close to the train station, all the restaurants, and the bus to the entrance Machu Picchu. The staff was amazing! German from the front desk met us at the train station upon arrival and helps with the luggage. They were also very responsive to special requests we had.

The staff is super helpful, extending beyond to make my stay a wonderful experience. I had booked another hotel with Expedia and when I arrived to the other hotel, they told me they were booked and had no room for me even though I had a paid reservation under Expedia! It was late at night, almost 11pm and I couldn't find anything near and since it was so late I had to spend the night in a hostel. Once I was resting on a bunk bed sharing a room with 3 other people, I found this jewel in Booking.com, booked my stay there and arrived first thing in the morning. Their staff was wonderfull, super accommodating, hospitable, helpful and wonderful. They accommodated me in a room facing the gorgeous relaxing river. Breakfast was superb!!! I highly recommendthis hotel.

I loved everything about La Casa del Sol, keep up the good work!

We loved absolutely everything. We were escorted from the train station to the hotel by a hotel staff member, who kindly helped us with our luggage. The hotel is wonderfully located just 100 meters from the train station. We were welcomed with a local drink at reception. After quick formalities, we enjoyed our wonderful room with a stunning view of the mountains and river. The next day's breakfast was perfectly organized. The chef will prepare any type of eggs you like, and the variety of food won't leave you hungry. Tip: Rooms on the other side—not facing the river—can be noisy due to constant train maneuvers.

Really nothing to complain.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The view was spectacular and everyone was so attentive and welcoming. I loved the gorgeous decorations and the wood, felt so warm and inviting. The bed was so comfortable and the water pressure was great! They have an excellent wine list and food was beyond delicious, hat off to the chef! The location was also very accommodating in relation to getting picked up for the trip to Machu Picchu, like a 3 minute walk. We did not have time to visit the spa personally but other guests said it was serene and so relaxing, will definitely be on the list next time we visit! Over all could not have picked a better place to stay and enjoy, thank you all for the wonderful stay and memories!

I have had the pleasure of staying at Casa del Sol twice. The first time was for work, and it was a positive experience. Despite our busy schedule, we managed to make time for a massage at the Spa and indulge in the delicious meals at Restaurante. It truly added to our incredible experience. I highly recommend that visitors to Machu Picchu do not miss the opportunity to relax with a massage at the Casa del Sol SPA and savor the delightful meals offered in the Restaurant. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Casa del Sol staff, who are undoubtedly the best team I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for making our stays so memorable.

This hotel is worth the high price. If you are doing a trek or a big hike like we did, it will be worth it to spend your evening in a nice place like this. The bed and shower are amazing and super comfortable. This hotel is right by the river, and not really in the "hustle and bustle" of Aguas Calientes. Trust me, you will appreciate the quiet even if you think you want to be in the middle of the party. We almost booked El Mapi instead of this one and we are so glad we didn't go with El Mapi because it's right in the middle of all the busiest bars in AC. Go with this one!! The breakfast is vast and excellent as well.

Check-in process was extremely slow. One dude working at the front desk and there was a big line when we got in. It took us over 30 minutes to get checked in and we were very tired already from the Inca trail hike.
