Very comfy beds, hot shower with very good stream, clean and warm room, cute little balcony. We booked a room with twin beds and pulled them together to have more space. You get 10% discount in the restaurant (vegan + vegetarian options), price normal like everywhere else in town; very good breakfast. Great location - very close to bus station and arrivimg train station! Room looks like in the pictures. You can also borrow a hair dryer! Staff was really friendly, except the receptionist asking for more money!

BE AWARE! When u pay at the reception they will ask you for a 10% "service fee", when we asked what for... they said:"u don't have to pay it!" Wtf? At the end we found out that they are trying to charge you extra, because booking.com charges them a lot. Keep insisting on the final price that bookimg showes you and u are fine. Bathroom smelled a little bit of canalization sometimes.

most of the rooms have basically no windows!!! luckily we got a balcony room though it was a little bit noisy due to trains and nightclubs until approximately 22:00.

The location was very convenient, close to the train station and the bus to Machu Picchu. There are lots of restaurants and small stores close by. Poncho's Restaurant in the building with the hotel was great. The staff was very helpful they even went to the nearest laundry with us to show us how to find it.

The staff spoke limited English. But that was OK with us because I speak some Spanish and they were always patient with my not always great Spanish. The area can be noisy it's on a main street and the railroad tracks run down the middle of the street. They did have a double glass door on the door to the balcony which helped.

Rockrivers is perfectly located—just steps from the train station, making arrival incredibly convenient. The room was stylish and well-appointed. Though compact, it had everything we needed, and everything felt fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. Like other hotels we visited in the area, mornings could be a bit noisy, so earplugs are a good idea. That said, the overall experience was lovely, and we’d happily stay again!

Nothing really. The only minor challenge at night is that the hotel is shared with a restaurant, and you would have to go through the restaurant's entrance to get to the stairwell for the hotel.

The staff, especially Sonia and a man at breakfast, were very nice. They made me feel so welcome. The room was ready at 9 a.m. It's in a prime location. Their restaurant (Ponchos) is quite good. I could hear the street/river noise from my room, but it didn't prevent me from sleeping well. The scrambled eggs were delicious, and it was nice to watch a documentary about Machu Picchu just before discovering it!

Better windows, maybe? Can't think of anything. There is no lift, I didn't mind, but to consider if you have mobility issues.

This hotel is very clean and well-maintained. Muchas turistas come specifically for going up Machu Picchu, and the hotel offers gratis left luggage cloak room services inside a closet. There is steady hot water in the shower and the internet is reliable. The manager arranged for a trusted English-speaking guide who met me at the hotel at 5:30 am. Desayuno is served from 5 am to 8 am, so I was able to eat breakfast before going up Machu Picchu.

Because many people come to this town for hiking, climbing up stairs should not be an issue, though some might want to have an elevator. The Ponchos restaurant (partnered with the hotel) has a 10% descuento for hotel guests, though the price point for the restaurant might be un poco caro. Note that because the train runs beside the hotel, it might be loud when the train passes. However, for me, hay no problema.

Awesome location! Very easy to walk places, though the first night we were there, the restaurant across the street was having a little bit too much fun and it was impossible to fall asleep (granted, we were going to sleep before 10pm since we had an early morning). Breakfast is available early, and the special kitchen items (fried eggs and toast, or banana pancakes) were very nice. We heard some over travelers talking about their accommodations and we were VERY glad we did not have to deal with any serious issues during our stay here. The front desk reception also carried our 2 huge suitcases all the way to the train station which was very appreciated since we were tired after our MP hike. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

The pre-registration request seems to be useless since I was asked all the same questions during check-in that I had already completed in the form. There seems to have been a sudden change in our reservation but we weren't told about it until AFTER we paid and had settled into the room. We were too tired to make a fuss, but very frustrating our original reservation was not provided.

The hotel is 1 minutes away from the train stop station. We found the location to be perfectly situated for our needs. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, it gave a modern-traditional vibe. It had a comfortable bed and pillows. The room we had was riverside facing, we could hear the river flowing, however it was a really nice sound to fall asleep with. The train did not bother us, i think there were just 2 trains arriving early in the morning, however our tours started early in the morning so it was not an issue for us. The restaurant downstairs is excellent, it has great food and the most delicious pisco sour. The breakfast could have been better, but it was ok.

Maybe the breakfast can be a little bit improved in terms of variety.

We basically just slept at the hotel, arriving in the train late and leaving early to Machu Picchu. The room was small, but clean and cozy. It’s really close to the train and bus station. The double doors in the balcony were enough to block the train noise during the night. Sonia was in the reception when we arrived and when we left. She was great, offering us bottles of water, storing our luggage during the day, and offering us a place to rest after checkout.

This hotel is just a short easy walk from where the train from Ollantaytambo or Poroy drops you off. The room was small, but comfortable. The only window in my room looked out on an air shaft, So it was very dark. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good warm water, And the Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was delicious and began at 5 o’clock, giving me just enough time to take an early bus to Machu Picchu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to store my luggage there for the day while I was in Machu Picchu. The restaurant downstairs looked good, but truthfully, I didn’t eat there except for breakfast.

There is no elevator up to the rooms, although I’m sure the staff would have carried my luggage up there if I had needed it.
