Wonderful views and comfortable room. Basic but sufficient. Very ideally located just steps from bus as well as train station. Staff had breakfast ready at 5 am so ideal if you’re leaving on an earlier entry to MP
Bathroom was tiny

I loved the location! I thought it would be loud being so close to the market stalls, but they shut down at 9:00 pm and there are no bars around so it is pretty quiet. Our room faced the river. It was this amazing white noise. Cesar at the front desk was so kind and lovely. The room was big enough, the bed very comfy and the linens on the bed great. The washroom was a little cramped, but I didn't need to spend a lot of time there. The Internet worked great. The breakfast had lots of options. Great value for money.
The elevator broke down, which was unfortunate.

Hotel Pucara is located on one side of the Aguas Calientes river. If you are fortunate to get a room in the front of the bldg, you can enjoy the sounds of the water rushing down the rocks in the center of town. You can also easily monitor the length of the wait line for the bus from your balcony or window. The town is located on the slope of a mountain with the hotel about halfway up the hill. This is a good location since it is near the market & train station, you don't have to walk too far up the hill and it is in the middle of everything. Breakfast on the terrace on the 7th floor was also very good with many options. Staff met us at the train station with a sign and escorted us to the hotel. They also provided us with a recommendation to the best restaurant we've eaten at in the city so far (3rd time visiting Aguas Calientes), so kudos to them for that as well.
I had two rooms, one of which was located on the backside of the hotel which faces the stadium and rec center. I'm not sure what could be done but it does get a little noisy in that area since people are using the facilities until late at night. We were provided a room with a non-working jacuzzi tub. It was not included in our room rate, so we weren't expecting it but it was also unusual to have a broken feature in the middle of our room.

It was wonderful that someone was waiting for us at the train station. Our double room was exceptionally spacious, featuring two double beds joined together to create the largest bed I've ever seen! The location is excellent, conveniently close to both the train station and the bus station for Machu Picchu. You'll also find many good restaurants nearby.
The only downsides were the small bathroom and the awkwardly placed, often non-functional electrical sockets (for instance, one was oddly high near the ceiling).

The place is in the middle of the city, very close to the bus station that’s taking you to Machu Picchu and very close to the train station. They waited for us at the train station upon arrival and guided us to the hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful and polite, they gave us directions for buying tickets for the bus and made sure we find the place. The room was ok, quite noisy from the river, but it’s not a big deal. The breakfast does not have so many choices, but overall was pretty good.

Surprised that upon disembarking the IncaRail Train we were picked up and greeted by Marisol and escorted us to the hotel which is a few minutes walk front the station. The hotel location was excellent, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and available early for an early Machu Picchu hike. The town is quiet at night that you can actually retire for the night and get some Zzz's for the next morning (minus the very loud hotel guest few floors or directly above us ---the quietness/quiet time of the Pueblo May not have been obvious to him or his roommates maybe deaf that he had to yell when he converses). We were given extra hour or two for late checkout having a 2pm train ride. They have safe luggage storage service too. The Machu Picchu Pueblo overall is safe. The market is few feet distance and plenty of restaurants.
Nothing to note apart from the really noisy guest above us. (Nothing negative for the Hotel).

Perfectly-located hotel next door to the train station. Rooms were large, with cute balconies. The breakfast area was particularly lovely. Instead of being in the lobby, it was up on the top level with a view. The service also impressed me: they made a proactive offer to store our luggage. Pricing was good, and the overall decor/comfort/amenities struck me as equal if not better than hotels where I paid more in the same area.
No issues here. For those new to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu Pueblo, keep in mind that it's a small town with no vehicles. There are still plenty of restaurants and small shops to buy necessities for your hike or souvenirs.

Great location. You can see the bus line if you’re at the room facing the water side. Hotel organise someone to pick you up at train station.
We initially got a creepy 2nd floor room facing nothing but horrible building wall with whatever party/singing noise. We asked for two times to finally get to change another room which is much better facing the water. That previous room was unbearable.

The hotel with excellent location and comfy beds. The toilet is clean and the shower is hot enough. They arranged pick up at train station and luggage storage after check-out. The breakfast is awesome, which offers varies kinds of choices, fit the meal for going to sightseeing the Machupicchu
The balcony cant lock and the room next to you could climb to your room easily.

I stayed at this hotel some years back and then returned with family this year. I find it to be a great value for the price. It's not a luxury hotel, but the rooms have what you need, and the breakfast room on the top floor has a lovely view. I recommend!
The bathroom in my room was fairly small -- limited counter space, minimal room to maneuver in and out of the shower.
