The hostel is located in a very prime location in the old city with such an amazing lake view and ghat very close by. One can easily go around walking and would find everything they need around. The hostel itself looks very authentic and has a rusty old charm touch to it. May be their lockers in the room can be made better but I was able to manage. The cafe and rooftop is such a vibe. The food here is good. No complaints and they make it very fresh for you. The hostel is always buzzing with different travellers ready to connect and give you a great experience. Alok - one of the person maintaining the hostel. this guy is so full of knowledge and is great with deep connections and conversations. He is everybody’s friend yet nobody’s friend haha. Very helpful and got my planning and stay sorted. Naren - one of the guys maintain the property, helped with check in! he is pretty chilled and reserved but when you talk to him you can get to know that he is pretty good and is able to have good conversations 1-1. Very responsible and a bit uptight as well Janvi - the community manager, a very buzzing and cheerful personality perfectly doing what she was supposed to do. Made everyone feel at home, ensured they were having a good time with coordinating games, food tour and what not. On my last day i had a chance to play a game with her as well where she almost had me and did win totally. Made sure everyone staying there had a great experience. Cant wait for our paths to cross again. It was an amazing experience staying here and I would recommend few days of stay here when you are in Udaipur for sure. Fun, sight seeing, peace guaranteed! Team is doing a wonderful job.

Just the locks on the dorms were broken

There were a lot of things that I liked about the property and the stay as a whole. It's very difficult to pinpoint the best but I will try my best ... Hosts The welcoming nature of the property manager Harish, who is the SPOC for whatever you need in the city. I also had the pleasure of meeting the in-house architect of madpackers, Gavrav who will guide you through the in and out of the property with its historic culture and it's correlation with the vibe of the city. I am an introvert and trust me when I say this, the nature of both Harish and gaurav never once made me feel less than family. Property The location of the property is such that you will get a lake side view with all the major city landmarks at just the turn of your head. The dorms and rooms are neat and clean with night lamp and the charging port just at the right place. Waise toh i went to explore the city but most of my time was spent in the common area which provides a calming experience of sitting by the lake and giving room for your own thoughts. To conclude if you're in udaipur, I would recommend you to enjoy the hospitality of Gaurav and Harish at Madpackers Udaipur

The feeling that I got here was really homely and I don't think there's anything that you don't like about a home. Whenever we travel we want to stay at a place which makes us feel like home. And this place made me feel that way.

One of the best hostels I have been to, the environment, the surroundings, and the hosts - Harish, Vasudha and Suraj best people I have ever met. They take me to places in Udaipur. The view from hostel is magnificent, one can see beautiful sunset and lake together and very friendly surroundings. Totally worth it, must stay here.

Best place to stay in Udaipur . A new hostel but homely vibes only . Gaurav bhai is a great host he always looks after your needs . He helped me to plan a itinerary as I was visiting first time to Udaipur . He also took me to sunrise point which was very soothing . Rooms are comfortable I stayed in a dorm but felt like a room , rooftop is big and got a great view of Lake pichola . Kudos to Gaurav bhai and team Madpackers. 10 / 10 highly recommended .✌️

I’ve stayed in many hostels, but this one is by far the best. The hosts were always just a call away, making me feel right at home. I felt so welcomed that I left a piece of my heart at Madpackers. A big shoutout to Gaurav, Shivraj, Harish, Devashish and the super sweet host Janvi! They made me feel so special that what was supposed to be just one day turned into a whole week. The staff were kind and friendly, providing helpful information about the local tourist attractions and other recommendations. The rooftop has sofas and tables, making it a perfect spot to relax or enjoy the city view. The location is excellent, with the city center easily accessible on foot. The stay included a complimentary breakfast, and additional meals or drinks could be ordered separately. There is also a water dispenser available for guests. I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory, which was equipped with lockers, a shower, and a toilet in the room, along with plenty of natural light. The entire facility was clean and well-maintained, allowing me to enjoy a very comfortable 4-day, 3-night stay.

Sometimes the hot shower didn’t work. I might have used it in a wrong way though.
