I liked everything about Port Malo. The bed was so comfortable it was difficult to leave! The room was plenty big enough. The bathroom also is spacious. Having a fridge is definitely a plus and the beams gave it a historical feel even though the decor and facilities were modern. Double glazing effective against street noise but for me that adds atmosphere so only closed when sleeping. Room cleaned every day. The location is perfect. Wished I’d booked another night!

I was on 3rd floor so WiFi not effective but I was ok with roaming package so not an issue for me. The room seemed to get a lot cigarette smoke on Friday night. Seemed to be coming up stairwell?

It was both an interesting and cool location. We enjoyed going downstairs to the bar. The hotel staff is very nice. The cleanliness and comfort far exceeded my expectations.

The downside of the bar was that people congregate late outside and smoke and the smoke wafts up to the room. If you go to sleep early and hate smoke, this is not a place for you. Also, the WiFI at the top floor was poor. The upside is it meant no internet distraction, but the downside was that I had to go down to the bar to "work" and check emails.

Room was cosy, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, and shower had great water pressure with a waterfall option or handheld option. Staff were friendly at check-in and departure. The pub on the ground floor is really fun and local with a great selection of local beer, cider and soft drinks. The location is ideal for access to pubs, restaurants, bars, ferry, the walls, and all the central attractions to St Malo.

Reception is closed from 2pm to 4pm because it's France.

Location is amazing. Right next to the rampart and beach, 40 seconds from the main shops. Prime location. Small clean room, the staff were helpful and friendly. Despite being opposite an Irish bar and above a bar, it was quiet. We had no problem with noise.

There was WiFi but the connection was so poor it was unusable. The the tv signal in the room was also intermittent, both were probably a result of being in an old thick walled historic building. I would not recommend if you have mobility issues as the rooms are on the upper floors accessed up a tight/ steep spiral staircase.

Great location, great little apartment with some kitchen facilities. Recently done up. Lovely host who was really accommodating and helpful and greeted us with a happy smile every day. There’s some noise from the bars nearby but it didn’t bother us much.

The room was bigger and better-equipped than I had expected. There was a lovely little kitchenette with a coffee machine, sink, and fridge, along with several dishes. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly.

Not a big deal, but the stairway smelled a bit like stale beer. That being said, the hotel is above a pub, so it can be expected. In fact, it kind of added to the atmosphere.

Rental for 4 adults (parents with 2 young adults) in early April. Everything was perfect. We loved how authentic the place was. The kitchen has all essentials for breakfast or cold meal. The bedding was fresh and comfortable. The sofa bed is of high quality and perfectly adapted for 2 adults. Quiet night. Great location.

Perfect position for all the main parts of Saint Malo. Also, the bar had some great craft beers

We loved the location, the size and the amenities of our room! We definitely recommend it! Despite being above a street with bars it was very comfortable and quiet at night. We enjoyed our stay.
