Palace Rome Hostel is one of the most affordable options in Rome that still offers a private bathroom and a location not too far from the city center. In terms of value for money, it truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and clearly well-maintained, with housekeeping visibly keeping everything tidy. The bathroom came stocked with shower gel and soap, the bed was very comfortable, and the towels were soft and freshly laundered. The air conditioning worked well, and the free Wi-Fi was stable throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The 24-hour reception gave the place more of a hotel-like feel, which I really appreciated. Reaching the city center took around 35–40 minutes. The bus stop is about a 5-minute walk from the hostel, with frequent buses heading to the last stop of Metro Line B. The area itself is quiet and felt very safe, even at night. If you don’t feel like waiting for the night bus, you can easily get back from the city using one of the many scooter-sharing services. All in all, a great choice if you're looking for comfort and convenience on a budget in Rome!

The room is simply furnished, with just a small table and a chair in addition to the bed. There are hangers provided, but unfortunately, there's not really a place to hang them properly, which can be a bit inconvenient. The bedding appears to be cleaned regularly, though it's clear that it’s not brand new – some stains were still visible despite being washed. The walls are quite thin, so cleaning noises or conversations from other guests can sometimes be heard, especially in the morning. I’d definitely recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper and want an undisturbed rest.

The rooms were a decent size, clean and comfortable. We found a local pizza place that sold wonderful food which we really enjoyed. The bus stop was close by and you could take it to the Metro and be in the centre of Rome in 15 mins. Make sure you carry a photocopy or phone copy of your passport at all times.

The buses in Rome were overcrowded. You need to buy a metrobus ticket before you get on the bus. One bus we got on was so overcrowded we couldn't get to the ticket machine on the bus and when we arrived at Termini we were targeted by the police for not stamping our ticket and had to pay a fine of 55 euros each. The bus driver was pleading our case that we couldn't get to the machine but they weren't interested. We spoke to other visitors and this had also happened to them. I think this is a way of making money by targeting visitors.

This hotel is located in a beautiful, calm, and peaceful environment. The staff in the reception were so friendly. Most of them speak English as well. The room was cleaned up almost every day, and the bedding, towels, and bath stuff were changed after every day of cleaning. The guest could use the kitchen at any time to cook. That was useful for a budget-friendly trip. The location was really good to have a bus at any time. Overall, its really worth the price. I can strongly suggest having a stay in this hotel.

It would be better if there were some more cutlery in the kitchen. because we were out of spoons every time. Other than that, we liked everything in it.

I love everything it was home away from home and all the staff were excellent.

I love my room and the dining area and the hotel is kept constantly clean. Also I could cook and the location is perfect not in the centre but easy transport links to go everywhere. The reception is open 24 hours which is fantastic.

The hotel is so clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The room is spaceous and good. The location of the hotel is a bit far from Rome's center but the transportation is so easy and the stop is so near to the hotel.

Unfortunately, the hotel has no breakfast option.

They provided with everything we asked. Really nice place and helpful stuff. Room is clean and also they are cleaning every 2 days

There were no options to get/buy water. There are also no shops around or restaurants which works after 20(maybe they closing even earlier). But for that price the hotel and location is perfect.

This hostel provides excellent value for the money. It's a bit far from the center, but it doesn't take long to get there with metro. The location is nice and quiet, there's space outside the hostel to sit and enjoy. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and they helped us book a taxi on the day we were leaving. They have two lovely dogs, too! The room and the bathroom were nice and very clean.

The mattresses could be more comfortable. You should learn English a bit better, too, so you can communicate better with guests who don't speak Italian or Spanish. :)

Everybody's friendly and the room was great, we got 1 double bed and 2 separate in a room that was supposed to be for only 2 people, but hey, I'm not complaining for the extra space!

It is extremely hard to get to there if you are traveling late at night, the busses are super crammed and you have to take 2 or 3, there isn't a direct one from the center. Other than that, very nice place.

The employees were very kind and it was overall clean

There was literally no spoon and only one fork in the kitchen, so the only bad thing i think of is the equipment
