Shamii, Erangia and the team were wonderful! Super helpful and friendly with a cheery good morning. We booked for three days and ended up staying for eighteen! The location is along a lovely residential lane with the hotel tucked in at the end on the beach. It has a beautiful outside bar serving great food and there is also a rooftop restaurant (which we didn't try). Also, the rooms have air conditioning and fridge and there is a private terrace seating looking out to sea. We'll definitely be coming back!!

The King room felt spacious, comfortable, and a great view from the balcony. Comfy bed. The kitchen staff wanted to please. Great fruit selection at breakfast. Walking straight onto the beach and playing.

Tired of the same breakfast for 4 mornings and we didn't know that there was a choice of western or Sri Lankan breakfast until our final night, and you can't order on the day, the kitchen need 24hrs notice. We requested a sweep of the room and towel change twice and it didn't happen. With a little more staff training and even one extra staff member, they would elevate the guest experience.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Location at the beach is super nice. Direct access to a quiet stretch of sand. Amazing views from top floor.

Breakfast was quiet basic compared to other accommodations in the same price range. toast, eggs, fruits. Dinner was average, but overpriced. I feel the kitchen could make more of an effort here...

Hidden gem. Old school Sri Lankan hotel on great surfing beach. Quiet but beautiful. Have been coming here for years. It’s simple but that’s the beauty of the place. You are looked after well. The food is so good. In fact it’s some of the best I ve had on the island. If you want to get away from the hipster surfing crowds this is your place. Empty beach break, under your balcony. No trills. But peaceful. No wonder it’s called top secret

Location, the view, food, staff, everything! Only 30 minutes to Hirikitiya and Nilwella Beach by tuktuk, which was arranged by hotel for a very good price .

If you are a big fan of massage, like really into it, there are wine geeks, so if you are a massage geek, i would not recommend to go for it in this hotel. It is a pure luck, how it will be made. Out of 10, I have given it 5. My partner has given 6 out of 10.

Our room was clean and very comfortable. The view from our balcony was amazing of the beach and ocean. The breakfast was really good and even better from from the restaurant area. The staff were all lovely and helpful. There is a bar and sunbeds on the beach right in front of hotel, beach is nice and quiet and good place to try surfing.

Only draw back to this hotel would be that it is not very close to any restaurants or shops so a bike was needed for getting around. However we enjoyed just chilling out on the quiet beach so not issue for us.

Amazing view to ocean and surfers. Good location, next to beach and surf rental. Beautiful clean beach that was not crowded. Waves are nice for surfing. Perfect if you enjoy the sound of ocean. Can be quite loud. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but good. We liked the place so much that we decided to stay longer.

it’s very clean, nice hot shower!! they provide towels, soap, shampoo, you’ll have an air con, fan in the room!! the breakfast is really good (and with an amazing view)! the chef is very friendly (like all the staff in the hotel). you can enjoy food in the restaurant upstairs whenever you want. moreover it’s possible to buy beer, water. ;;) matara is just 10min drive which is good! and the bus stop is very close to the hotel. it is worth noting that right next to the hotel there is a surf school with a very cool instructor. it’s called summer soulish. the spot is perfect. not many surfers around! highly recommend you to visit this place! i’m definitely coming back next year!

I had a big room with enormous bathroom and a perfect view on the ocean and beach. They have all you need for a simple stay. Good restaurant, surf equipment/ lessons and a simple breakfast. Next door are some other hotel restaurants if you stay for a longer period.

A gem on the beach, peacefully and quietly located. Delicious fresh food served for breakfast and dinner. We chose a local menu, but western style was also available. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. This was the perfect place to end our busy visit to Sri Lanka and re-energize for our onward journey.
