We stayed here for a very restful week at the end of our trip. WOW!!! Just amazing, as soon as you walk though the entrance it feels like a peaceful haven. The location is serene, the accommodation, pool & gardens, ocean views are all faultless. It’s worth the short walk to The Drs House, a funky bar/restaurant, but to be honest, we hardly left Oceane Villa the whole week! All the staff were excellent, so genuine and super friendly. The food is probably the best we had in Sri Lanka, the chef is superb. We can’t rate this place enough. Thank you so much Indika, Saman, Churry, our talented chef, the super smiley gardener and Nadoo the owner. You made our stay at Oceane Villa one to remember! (Special mention to Oceane Villa’s 3 cute ‘security’ dogs 😍)

Nothing, it was perfect.

The villa is located right in front of the sea, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The place is peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, always ready to fulfill our requests. They arranged an unforgettable romantic dinner for us by the ocean. The dinners were delicious, prepared with fresh, local products, and the same goes for breakfast. We also chose to have a massage, and they prepared a beautiful spot facing the ocean for it. The masseuse was excellent – highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and equipped with every comfort. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was magical. I never wanted to leave that place.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. Not only is the room and hotel immaculate, but with just 5 rooms, you honestly feel like you have the entire place to yourselves. They don’t let any non-guests into the hotel or garden, meaning you always have tons of privacy and space. The garden and pool area is incredible, and kept absolutely pristinely, with a bigger swimming pool than I’ve seen in some large resort hotels, so when not completely to yourselves (which it often was!) tons of space to feel like your own. A highlight was watching the surfers every evening as the sunset right in front of the hotel, with a few Turtles also making an appearance closer to shore / by the garden. It’s only 10 minutes from the main beach in Mirissa by TulTuk, and there’s a closer beach 5/10 mins walk away for swimming / snorkelling. This wouldn’t of course be the place it was without the staff. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, and make you feel entirely at home. We opted to have dinner 2 of the 3 nights we were there, and realistically should have done all 3, the food was some of the best we had in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, having both the curries, and fresh Yellowfin Tuna steak, both as good as it gets. A special mention to the young chap who serves dinner / breakfast (didn’t catch his name) he made all mealtimes even better, always with a huge smile, bringing you anything you needed, and topping up anything on your plate you wanted more of, and got the balance of attentive vs privacy perfectly. This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and would come back in a heartbeat!

We stayed at the Villa Oceane for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The extremely friendly staff meet us at the door and welcomed our whole family (we have 4 kids) with fresh juice and smiles. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The kids loved the pool and the beautiful view of the ocean. We loved the sound of the ocean and watching surfers every morning. We ate breakfast at the Villa every morning, the staff was very accommodating, and the food was amazing! We felt safe the whole time and felt like the staff answered any questions we had and helped us get in contact with the right people for activities that we asked about. Overall we loved the people and the facility and if we are ever back in the area we would 100% go back.

Honestly we loved the whole experience.

Literally everything was perfect! The team is warm, welcoming, helpful and super polite! Big authentic smiles all day! The food is out of this world! Go for the Sri Lankan breakfast and make sure to have dinner at least once, that Tuna steak was just unreal! Cleaning was spotless! We felt like home every minute of our stay and we would still sit on our balcony in deep conversations staring at the perfect surf if we could! Villa Oceane is all about Indika and his wonderful crew! Thank you guys! We had a fantastic time!

We immediately felt welcomed into stylish open-plan hotel, with an inner courtyard where the reception/help desk is. All bedrooms face the garden, clean pool and the sea. Breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries and omelette was served politely and cheerfully on our balcony. The kitchen was open to the courtyard and was clean and professional. The sea in front would be difficult to enter, but a 10 minute walk on small quiet roads lead to beaches. The main road with ATM and supermarket is 20 minutes walk. In summary, this is a well run, welcoming, high quality hotel in a beautiful quiet area.

We enjoyed our stay and extended it for another night. Room was nice and spacious with sea view. We could see the surfers all day. Unfortunately the beach adjacent to the hotel was stony with strong waves which made loud sound (some people may need some getting used to this). The highlight was breakfast and dinner on the balcony. We chose at the start of the day from the menu and the cook would prepare from fresh ingredients some delicious food, which was very well presented. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool. The fruits available were fresh and delicious. There are few nearby restaurants however we did not try them. The staff were really nice and helpful. We will be back again esp for the food.

Loud sound of the waves. Stony beach area. Get a mosquito repellent for your feet if sitting out for dinner.

Everything about this property was amazing -every employee was amazing, the food was amazing, the service was beyond what I could have expected. The views were beautiful. They catered to every single thing we needed and were so nice. I wish I met the chef to tell him how good all the food was. It felt like we were staying in a large home - being able to just walk around and feel safe was the best. I can’t wait to go back to Mirissa just to stay here! Thank you all for a great vacation!

This is a gem of a place. We stayed for two nights but could have stayed for longer. The photos of the outside area facing the beach don’t do it justice. It’s a very calm & relaxing place to stay and lovely to hear the waves crashing onto the shore. The staff are lovely - so helpful & attentive. They went above what was necessary to help us organise onward transport to our next accommodation & then to the airport. Thank you.
