The hotel was very special, from the windows of the room you can see the whole city, the room was very clean, the sheets, towels, facilities, details, I also really liked the restaurant part, where the food was very tasty especially in the morning with that wonderful view. The girls at the reception were very kind and polite, they helped us upon arrival at the hotel and for any question and help they did not hesitate to be present, they made us feel like we were at home and not like strangers, this is something to be appreciated by the warm hospitality. A True Gem in Gjirokastër – Exceptional Care and Service Our recent stay at Hotel Kodra was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon our arrival, our daughter was unfortunately feeling unwell. The care and attention the staff provided were beyond anything we could have expected. They went out of their way to ensure she was comfortable, even taking the time to prepare a special broccoli soup just for her. This level of compassion and service is rare to find, and it made a world of difference to us during our stay. We’ve stayed at several hotels in Gjirokastër, but Hotel Kodra stands out by far. The staff consistently amaze us with their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile. From the beautiful surroundings to the impeccable service, everything about this hotel is top-notch. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Kodra to anyone visiting Gjirokastër. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place where you’re truly cared for.

A wonderful hotel with impressive architecture, located 5 minutes from the castle and one minute from the bazaar. The rooms are the old style, with wood framed windows which let all the cold air from outside into the room. Although we had air conditioning that we could turn on warm, it couldn't cope. I can only say that it is a wonderful accommodation that I highly recommend!!!

The staff are a gem - especially the older gentleman who works at the restaurant! He was darling and very helpful and made us feel very welcome and had great wine recommendations. When we got lost on the way to the hotel due to some road construction, one of the hotel staff members actually drove down to find us with his motorcycle and led us in our car to the hotel himself - which was so kind! We also had a nice staff member help us with our luggage which we really appreciated. The hotel is perched on a beautiful outcropping of cliff and the views are astounding. They have decorated nicely with lovely classic wooden furniture and beautiful ceilings. The rooms are very spacious. The location is great - you can walk right into the area of town with the shops, and easily to the castle and the Cold War bunker and the other fun locations. The restaurant has a great selection of Albanian wine! I found the food a bit heavy but it was very good and I think that is traditional Albanian food.

This is silly but I was hoping they might have incorporated more traditional Albanian textiles into the room, since they are so lovely, and I think they were in one of the photos.

Beautiful view from the hotel with a comfortable and quiet room. I loved the hard wood furniture and decor and the overall warm and unique ambiance that captured the vibe of Gjirokaster as a whole. Perfect location right by the Bazaar

Only issue is the parking lot and the entrance. It was quite difficult to figure out. Challenging to drive the car up the main hill, then a very strange walk around the building, up some back stairs, then in through a back door. I had to ask for help!

Amazing location - the room was nice and bed very comfy. Had lunch, breakfast and drinks on the terrace - the food was fantastic and the view was breathtaking. So pleased we stayed there and would definitely recommend.

Nothing. Tip - use their carpark don't leave your car on the road. We left car at bottom of hill and walked up - came back to a parking ticket.

The hotel offers a comfortable stay with clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. The location is convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, a great value for money.

It stated in the description that there was an ATM on site (we needed to draw out cash in Albania) but this was not the case. Not sure if this was a mistake in the online description. Otherwise everything superb

The Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Gjirokaster. The historic city center is only a few steps away. The location of the hotel is simply stunning and allows an excellent view over Gjirokaster. The hotel-staff is extremely friendly and helped me even with a little problem with my car. Breakfast was excellent and was much more than a single person could eat. This was the best hotel I had during my week touring around Albania! Highly recommended!

The staff was super helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfast was delicious! The view from our room was 10/10 amazing. Absolutely I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. You are right in the heart of old town Gjirokastër :)
