Everything. A slice of heaven. Unfortunately, I was a bit ill and exhausted. Having Climbed Kilimanjaro just prior, so I did not avail of much sightseeing offers. But I loved every minute. Food is off the charts good. I had a Queen Room, ground floor. It was fantastic. No mosquitoes was a bonus. The smell in the room every time I entered was breathtaking. It smelled so fresh and nice.. Had a small guided walk out to the reef. Amour the guide and his friends were excellent. So respectful of nature and not harming or disturbing anything. Thankfully they stopped a really ignorant and rude Italian man from poking at everything with a big stick and destroying things. He was so abusive and horrible. But they handled the situation brilliantly. I did not stay anywhere other than Stonetown and Zanziblue so no comparisons possible. But this stay for me was an experience of a lifetime that I will fondly remember.
Nothing to report.

The hotel was very accommodating with our early arrival. We used the hotel to provide transportation to/from the airport and it was very convenient. Also had the hotel book our turtle swimming and sunset boat ride, which we loved. Also used the kayaks and paddle boards from the hotel. The food was very delicious and several fresh fruits and vegetables. Loved our stay at this hotel. Staff is so friendly and helpful with anything!

Absolutely stunning resort with breathtaking ocean views! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. Perfect for a relaxing gateway. The beach is nice for walking but not the best for swimming.

Lovely staff, fantastic food, and great hotel overall. Plenty of room in the attic for a family of four. The sand on the beach is the finest I've ever seen. The staff was very attentive and accomodating, and even brought me a surprise birthday cake. The restaurant is excellent, we were there for four nights and tried different dishes each day. Not sure I'd get full board again as three courses at each meal is a bit too much for me. The tuna tataki was extraordinary, the seafood delicious, even the steak was amazing. The hotel grounds are really nice, and the pool is great for kids.
It's not the hotel's fault but the pollution on the beach was really quite sad. So much rubbish coming from the ocean with the tide. The plastic pollution across the island is really bad actually. Perhaps the hotel could employ people to clean the beach everyday of all the random bags, diapers, and pieces of clothing coming with the tide. The only recommendation I have for the hotel itself is installing ceiling fans in the restaurant. The dessert options were not fantastic.

I stayed at Zanziblue for 2 nights on a solo trip. Every staff member was very friendly and welcoming throughout my whole trip so thank you! I had a wonderful drink on arrival in the relaxing reception area. I had a great massage (with fresh drink afterwards). I also went on 2 trips organised by the hotel (one was the reef tour and the other was snorkelling at Mnemba Island). Reception was very helpful in booking and the guides were great. You can also use things like water shoes and beach towels from the hotel. Every location to relax at the hotel is lovely whether in the room, balcony, beach or restaurants. The food was also incredible with a choice of 3 restaurant areas plus room service. I'd highly recommend Zanziblue and have already told lots of friends!

My family and I loved everything about the place. The location was excellent, we had a fantastic villa 15 steps from the beach with beautiful Ocean views and the sound of waves to put you to sleep. The chef is brilliant with a great menu and fantastic specials every night. The staff were friendly and attentive to every detail. The pictures and website do not do this place justice, it far exceeds what you see online.

The hotel is set on the most beautiful and quiet beach of Mayemwe. The villas are stunning , set in beautiful gardens.each and giving you the feeling that you are alone. The hotel never felt busy , very quiet and restful. The food was outstanding . The service and staff was outstanding. Every member of staff always had a smile and greeted you, no matter what the time of day. Hazel was extremely helpful. The room had the most amazing sea view and had a large balcony to enjoy it. We had the most amazing special barbecue dinner on the beach which is something I will never forget. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF FOR MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE SO UNFORGETABLE.

The hotel and stuff are great. We found an oasis in the mess of Zanzibar. We frankly didn’t like the island due to poor infrastructure, very hard to drive (we rented a car but streets are so bad and in evening gets dangerous because there are no lights and people are staring at you like they never seen a tourist). So we found comfortable to be in the resort, we are almost every day there, cuisine is great (i am italian and I am not easy to please). Breakfast is also good . My mom stepped on a urchin and staff was very kind to remove all the spines. Internet is not that fast but is fine. You need to be aware that in zanzibar and in tanzania internet is really bad. There is very little electricity and you will see internet is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Taking in consideration this, the internet is ok but if you are thinking to work remote from Zanzibar, you better think twice. Wifi mostly worked on the terrace and common area but not much in the room. Low and high tide might be a bit of hassle but the entire island is more or less experiencing it. In the morning you couldn’t swim so you mostly had to use the swimming pool. In afternoon the tide was coming up. We also went to the northern part and we found the beach more crowded with lots of locals harassing you. In this resort the beach is very private so you will find less activities but more privacy. Rooms and resorts are also super nice with lots of high end details.

Our stay at Zanziblue was a dream realized. The hospitality was exceptional; we felt at home from the start. Every return to the resort was met with warm welcomes from the team. Requests were promptly handled via WhatsApp, making us feel truly cared for. The culinary journey was a seafood lover's fantasy. The freshest catches prepared to perfection made every meal a delight. Hazel, Jeanne, and the team went above and beyond, creating a cherished experience. Special kudos to waiter Hasan for his impeccable service. In conclusion, Zanziblue is a hidden gem that deserves all the accolades it receives. It's more than a resort; it's a haven of heartfelt hospitality, a paradise for food enthusiasts, and a place where you'll find yourself embraced by a warm, welcoming family. Our time at Zanziblue will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we eagerly anticipate the day we can return to this slice of paradise.
Everything was perfect.

The restaurant of the hotel is exceptional. By far the best food we had in Zanzibar. The menu is both sophisticated yet simple, it has plenty of choices with very fresh ingredients and really well cooked dishes. Definitely a highlight of our stay. The hotel is clearly run in a very ethical way with a clear ambition to give back to the local community and reduce its environmental impact which was really appreciable. Loved the tours that were organised with local guides, loved the kindness and dedication of the staff.
