Breakfast could be improved - standard breakfast can be enhanced with a tomato salsa or mushrooms. French toast was basic as well.

What a memorable experience this was! We drove from Johannesburg to Unembeza and got a warm welcome from the staff on arrival. The lodge was beautiful, clean and big with even an outside shower. (And fresh baked cookies everyday!!) The staff was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the dinners a lot. Definitly book a safari with them, both in Kruger and Hoedspruit. Thanks a lot Unembeza for contributing to an amazing trip to SA!

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is very private, extremely clean, and in a fantastic location. We even received a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite, which was beautiful. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were of exceptional quality. You can take a walk right from the lodge and spot giraffes, antelopes, zebras, and warthogs—an amazing experience! We also highly recommend the 11-hour Kruger National Park tour to see an abundance of wildlife. Our guide, Dave, was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. This was definitely our highlight! We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this lodge. Thank you for an amazing three days—we truly appreciate it!

I loved everything about the place, but mostly that I was upgraded to the honeymoon suite. The food was amazing. My favorite is their breakfast. ooooh, a 5-star lifestyle, honestly. The Staff is absolutely 6 star i have traveled around the world and have never seen staff members who are so on top an happy about what they do, I am talking from cleaners to the team in the kitchen, the waiters and their lovely manager Ziggy and Kaitlyn i hope i got her name right......we are definitely heading back there with the entire family. I recommend a bicycle ride in the estate. This place is 5 star.

I recently stayed at Unembeza Boutique Hotel, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Our room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped, providing the perfect sanctuary after a long day of exploring. The location was ideal, offering both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. I particularly appreciated the personalized service, and the breakfast spread was outstanding- fresh, delicious, and plentiful. Every detail of my stay exceeded expectations, and I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommended!

Food The breakfast was full marks especially the homemade granola and baked goods. The name of the lodge lived up to its name offering peace and tranquility.

The dinner was a bit mediocre, nothing out of the ordinary, delivery could have been better with more punchier flavors. Certain staff was attentive and some took long with requests.

We stayed for one night after arriving in Hoedspruit before starting our journey along the panorama route. We were kindly upgraded to a private villa which was beautifully decorated and so peaceful. We did the nature walk before checking out which was incredible and we even saw some giraffes. Food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Our hot water was only lukewarm - which may not be a problem in summer, but as we stayed in winter this was a bit disappointing

We booked the private chalet, which is separate from the main villa. It has a large king bed and a smaller single bed for one child. The included breakfast was very nice. There is also the option to have a three course meal prepared by a private chef at the villa. We had this on the first night and it was very tasty, although a bit expensive. The villa is situated a short drive from the airport, and in a private, secure nature reserve. No big 5. But lots of antelope. There are spa facilities which were exceptional. You can also hire pedal bikes for a cycle in the nature reserve.

We stayed at Villa Mbani super nice and exclusive In the wildlife estate of Hoedspruit you can easily see animals and live the nature The manager ( if I remember well it’s Rheni) was very nice and gentle with us. We had also a great dinner and breakfast Everything was done ad hoc for us

We choose a safari game drive with an outsourcing company of the lodge but we didn’t like the approach of the guy with us: no explanation no chatting just drive fast around the reserve. It’s not about the Unembeza lodge but if I a pay for a premium service I wish it was the best Maybe need to choose better the outsourcing company
