Brilliant location inside old town walls which is why we returned! The hotel has been upgraded with a new lift and facelift so much improved - well done! Bars and restaurants all around.

For secure overnight parking, we chose the nearby underground Q-Park. Plenty of space and can book ahead if desired but the cost was very pricey at 32 euros for approx 5pm-10.30am. The many hotels, none of which have their own parking, should do a deal with the parking company to refund part of the cost. 😀 (If they already do that, no-one informed us!)

Saint-Malo is an exceptional historic coastal city, known for its impressive city wall that almost completely surrounds the town. The hotel is located in the heart of Saint-Malo, situated in the charming old town, Intra-Muros, surrounded by cozy cafés and restaurants. Our experience at the hotel was fantastic. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helped us find nearby parking and a secure place for our bicycles. The room and bathroom were both neat and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

The location is excellent. The room was spacious. The bathroom was divine with a luxury bath. The view of the square was a gorgeous way to wake up on a sunny Friday morning in France! The bar is one of the best in St Malo.

ONE staff member at reception was friendly but the rest are unfriendly. They were rude to my friends speaking English until I arrived and spoke in French with them. I get it; we're in France, but it's a tourist town, but they could be friendly while also acknowledging that my friends should make an effort to speak French. They did not tell us this at check-in that the keys were not disposable (like most hotels with plastic keys). Luckily, I kept mine in my wallet or we would have been charged £5.

The hotel couldn't be better located as it's in the centre of St Malo opposite the castle. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. The staff were very pleasant.

The gap in front of the toilet between the loo and facing wall was miniscule and luckily I'm not tall. It made things very uncomfortable. The only other criticism was the very small and thin bath towel but this appears to be the norm in France ☹️

The location was perfect. The room that we moved to was perfect. Everything was clean and fresh. Would definitely stay there again.

Our first room was quite dark as the window faced into a courtyard. My daughter is funny about light and really wasn't happy so I went down and politely asked if they had a lighter room and the receptionist was very obliging and let us move. The second room was facing a different direction and had 2 large windows. Made all the difference to our stay.

Amazing location. We had the superior quadruple room for two nights. It was a perfect location to explore the old town. The room was very clean, the beds were super comfy, shower great. Sound proofing great. Reception staff lovely. We found easy parking opposite in the large underground car park and this was at a very busy Christmas time.

No kettle in the room but everything else outweighed that.

We love St. Malo. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to all the amenities of Intra Muros. Love sitting outside, having a drink and watching the world go by! We were very happy with our room. It was spacious and although there was "no view", it was quiet! Not disturbed by the packing away of tables and chairs in the early hours of the morning or the sound of the bins being emptied! We always get breakfast at the hotel when we get off the ferry. It is the best meal of the holiday!

We appreciate that someone has to be last, but our room was not serviced until 4.00, which seems a bit late, especially as we had kept out of the way for some hours beforehand.

Location is perfect, The family room was very big, clean and comfortable, pleasant staff. The bar has a nice atmosphere. Great choice of hot and cold food at breakfast.

No parking and breakfast has to be paid for seperately, No hot Drinks facilities in the room. ….and Why did the hotel get rid of the grand piano ! ( it added another layer of class to the lobby.)

Staff were welcoming, spoke very good English which helped our limited French! They were happy for us to take in our dog. The hotel bar was busy and buzzing, again with welcoming staff. Excellent location, close to the beach, shops, bars restaurants and tourist attractions. Our dog was allowed to come to breakfast with us, no need to leave her alone in our room. The room was spacious and very clean, with a newly refurbished bathroom. We asked for a quiet room, away from the street and bar noise and were given a room on the 3rd floor overlooking a courtyard. No air con but two Juliet balconies with opening doors helped with the heat. Unfortunately we had very inconsiderate guests in the room above who banged, crashed and shouted about until past midnight. The reception staff were very helpful and understanding and spoke to the guests asking them to be more considerate. Unloading the car if arriving after midday is challenging, due to road restrictions!

There is no air conditioning. A lack of plug sockets in the room. The only mirror is the one in the bathroom.

Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, modern bathroom with a good shower. The room we had (311) overlooked an inner courtyard and although there was no view to speak of, it did allow us to leave the window open for air to keep the room cool without the noise from outside. We didn't try the 15 Euro buffet breakfast, but it looked good value for money if you are hungry morning person - fruit, bread, jam, eggs, pastries, juice, coffee, tea, etc. The bar area outside was a great way to relax and watch the world go by. The waiting staff were excellent - friendliness, efficiency and attention to detail.

The twin room was a fairly tight squeeze with little space for movement and storage of clothing. Although the room didn't smell of smoke, the corridors did. I know not standard in France, but some in room refreshments (tea/cofee/kettle) would be nice, as would a fridge to keep water cool. A tip for management - your staff all smoking just outside the entrance before the start of their shift not only doesn't look good, it added to the smell of tobacco smoke entering the reception area and into the hotel. Impressions and smell make a difference and I am a smoker!
