The Hotel & Staff were Excellent!! The only thing that was strange is that at around 2am I was waken up by a strange smell. It was alarming enough to wake my husband up and my 15 year old son was awaken by it as well. We were all still 1/2 asleep that we all dozed off with the smell lingering. But I was so worried while 1/2 asleep. The next morning our friends that we were with asked us about the 2:am smell? He told us that it woke his family up and he called the front desk right away. Front desk told him that there is a Paper Mill in the area that produces the odor. This has nothing to do with the hotel. Just a warning that if you wake up to a strange smell, NOTHING is wrong & you can peacefully go back to sleep 🩵

The property was stunning and had a charming New Orleans vibe that I really enjoyed. The views were beautiful and added to the experience. I didn’t catch the name of our breakfast server, but she was fantastic—she appeared to be a light-skinned African American woman in her twenties. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which made for a restful stay. We stayed on the 5th floor near the restaurant, which was convenient, but the noise from guests and customers was a bit of a drawback.

The refrigerator was very small, so we couldn’t store our leftovers. There was no iron in the room—only a steamer, which wasn’t as convenient. I believe fresh rosemary was placed in the room to enhance the scent, but in such a small space, it became overpowering and gave the room a musty smell. We stayed in a room with a king-sized bed on the 5th floor with a river view, which was beautiful, but it was located right next to the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was incredibly noisy, and my husband didn’t get much sleep.

It was a beautiful property. We were so impressed with the theme and decor. The staff were super friendly.

No iron or steamer in the room was our only downfall.

The staff was amazing, very sweet and professional. However, the location of the hotel REALLY dictates that it NEEDS valet parking and additional bell staff. Parking is a distance and there isnt enough room to pull up and park to unload. It was very challenging to get luggage inside and there werent enough carts and limited bell staff.

our room was HOT!! We slept horribly because the AC was not working properly. The hotel did comp us 1 day of our stay due to the circumstances. Parking was awful and the hotel is in an old downtown area of Monroe that the surroundings aren't pleasant.
