Beautiful hotel on the banks of Lake Konstanz in the traditional old European style. Room was comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the garden and pool. Just a few steps away from the train station and easy short walk into the old town. The harbour is just outside the front door with the hotel bar and restaurant enjoying the marvellous views.

It would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Surprising that a hotel of this standard has none of these available. We had to go across to the station shop to buy take out coffee in the morning/afternoon. Even more surprising ( given no drink making facilities in room) that there was no complimentary water offered in the room on arrival. The weather was very hot during our stay and this would have been most welcome. Again, most hotels offer this.

This comfortable, traditional style hotel is in position A on the busy harbour - ideal for people- and boat-watching, not least from the elevated restaurant and Corner Cafe. The food was excellent, and room maintenance exemplary. The hotel, with its boat and rail connections is ideal as a base to explore the Bodensee, Liechtenstein and also the Schubertiade at Hohenems/Schwarzenberg and Bregenzer Festspiele (there is a direct shuttle from the harbour at Lindau to the Seebuhne at Bregenz on opera nights).

The hotel was across the road from the train station. The hotel was very clean with old world charm. The staff were outstanding and very friendly and helpful. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a large selection of food and the setting looked over the lake. We loved everything about the hotel. I would highly recommend it.

We have stayed at this hotel about five times and always try to include it in our itinerary if we are in the area it is so good. The first time I arrived by train without my wife. This was before booking agencies existed and I saw this hotel just 50 yards away. This was most convenient and I immediately booked and found the facilities to be superb with a wonderful breakfast. I telephoned my wife and said we must come here next time we were abroad the only time in several years I have ever done this.

I am now somewhat disabled - there is no handrail available at the front entrance and consequently access is rather difficult (what tere is is obstructed by planters)

The hotel is very centrally located right opposite the Lindau Insel train station. The Lindau Kunstmuseum is located within walking distance of the hotel as are many restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my breakfast at the restaurant with a beautiful view of Lake Constance/Bodensee. Although the hotel is located right in the heart of the city, I was able to enjoy a good night's rest.The

The glass shower screens attached to the bath tub were slightly too small for the area and there was some water splashing onto the floor after my shower. I had to use towels to keep the floor dry.

The location is superb. Right on the harbour. Enjoyed people watching from the Corner Cafe. Our room was spacious and we loved the separate dressing room. Breakfast was good and the pool area, a lovely spot for chilling after an active day.

Dieses Hotel ist fantastisch!! Everything about it is just great, from the location across the street from the train station to the well-apportioned room, to the beautiful view of the harbor from it. I decided to splurge, and it was well worth it. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Lindau am Bodensee. Note: If you're arriving by train, make sure yours goes all the way to Lindua Insel rather than Lindau Reutin. If the latter, you'll have to change trains. It's probably easier than I made it, but there isn't any station at Lindau Reutin, making a little difficult find the right train going the short distance to the Insel. Multiple lines there. Bottom line, refer to the posted yellow sheet that lists all departures and arrivals.

The coffee served in the morning could have been hot, not luke warm. It's not easy to make sure everything is perfect.

The location of the hotel is perfect - just in the town center, facing gorgeous view of Alps and Constance Lake. Breakfast in the hotel was also quite good. Liked the idea of good tea in the Spa/Pool area.

The quality of mattresses was not so good, we couldn't sleep properly. The hotel is old with plenty of carpets around, so the smell in the corridors and in the room was not as fresh as it could be :)

Classic hotel on the lakeside. Hotel reception area was very nice, the rooms very clean & comfortable but felt slight outdated. Pool area was nice & we enjoyed sitting out in the garden, but didn’t see a member of staff to order drinks. For a 5 star hotel I would have expected the staff to offer to take our luggage to our room. Parking was good & secure.

We paid for a lake view room, which was well worth it, we had the most amazing balcony overlooking the harbour. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, right in the centre of Lindau, on the lake, breakfast was fantastic, and the spa and swimming pool excellent.
