The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they assisted with parking, brought us a bottle of excellent local wine, and shared plenty of tips about the hotel and things to do in the area. They really go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The room was spacious enough and everything was in great condition. They have aircon, what is brilliant during august heatwave.

Breakfast is very basic, you can choose between two fixed options, but it’s a set plate of groceries rather than a buffet. Some eggs would be nice to have.

the Primerose hotel is a family-run establishment, modest in its appearance but with attention to detail, extremely clean and made special by its owner, Philippe, an extraordinarily friendly and sensitive person who tries in every way to make his guests feel good. My wife and I are two cyclists, and we highly recommend this hotel especially for those who cycle. Spacious, totally safe bike room, where you can hang your bikes without the risk of them scratching against each other. We have always eaten at the hotel, excellent food, set menu, respect for any special needs everyone may have (my wife doesn't eat meat). Philippe was nice enough to understand the character of the various guests and immediately seated us next to other people with whom we then made good friends. The total cost of the hotel is absolutely unbeatable, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants to visit the Pyrenees, with a special focus on cycling. From the hotel it is indeed very easy to do the Tourmalet, l'Aubisque, Hautacam, Trumouse, Gavarnie. Thanks again Philippe

Phillipe and Valerie were very welcoming and helpful. This hotel is really well set up for cyclists with secure bike parking, bike work station and bike cleaning. We appreciated being able to have both breakfast and dinner on site. We also enjoyed the cycling camaraderie of the other cycling guests, of whom there were many. We were able to hand wash our clothes in a laundry and to hang them on an outside washing line complete with pegs. A wonderful one night stay.

Location perfect for cycling. All considerations were given to cyclists. The hosts Philip and Valerie were so attentive and wanted to make sure your stay was comfortable. Restaurant staff were excellent. Food provided was brilliant and I’m a fussy eater! Safe secure parking provided, storage for bikes and the ability to tend to your bike for cleaning, maintenance etc was all available. First hotel I’ve been in where I’ve not had to lock my bike or even store it in my car or room. Very quiet and restful ambience after a long day in the saddle.

We rode our bikes on the bike trail from the train station at Lourdes to the hotel. Super easy and pleasant! The hotel has a safe, well-equipped bike storage room, with all the tools, grease and rags you might need. The host is charming. Lots of cyclists here. Ideal spot if you want to hit the big TdF cols.

Great base for cycling in the area. Secure indoor space for parking bikes. Repair stand, workbench and place to wash bike. Very good breakfast and dinner. Good parking spaces. Nice room with balcony and air conditioning. All staff was very friendly and accomodating. Philippe gave great suggestions for cycling routes and hiking in the area.

V comfortable beds. Good AC, great location, good shower, lovely helpful staff, English spoken, quiet. All round great. Gorgeous village and brilliant location for accessing walks in the area

Staff were gracious and very welcoming. Catered perfectly to cyclist and everything they needed. The garage was perfect, washing area, and the extra breakfast portions. Hotel was tidy, organized and clean. Very cute too with all the pink and had some character (ie. versus a sterile Ibis).

Fantastic hotel, staff and location in gorgeous village. Especially nice was market day on a Tuesday.

No lounge area to sit and relax with a drink in the evening. No big deal, we’re always exhausted after all the great walks anyway

Excellent location and very friendly staff. We were in the area on a cycle tour across France and the staff were excellent helping us secure our bikes and offering to help with anything else we needed. Would recommend and will visit again should we be in this area.
