The location of The Hotel Alba is ideal for the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. A ten minute walk along the river Gave to the Sanctuary. The room was very roomy and comfortable with wi fi, television , good lighting system, a door opening onto a little balcony, excellent shower room and separate toilet. It had a lovely view overlooking the river Gave. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The breakfast was comprehensive, American cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs etc and a continental breakfast. There was plenty of delicious fresh bread, croissants, Danish pastries, cereals, dried fruits (eg dates, apricots, figs and a bowl of prunes) yoghurts, freshfruit, fruit salad, ham, cheeses, fresh tomatoes and salad, All food is excellent in the hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, going over and beyond to accommodate our requests. They were hard working, efficient, professional, extremely good-natured and friendly, I would highly recommend The Hotel Alba.

There isn't anything negative I can say about the hotel.

Location is walking distance to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes with quiet surroundings. Although you have to pay for the parking, it is safe and secured at the back of the hotel. Our family room is very nice and my two girls loved their room upstairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The charging sockets were not working, when we told the reception they said we should ask them as there is a ? button to switch this on….but we couldn’t find it so we had to use our power banks 🙁- never experienced this in a hotel before. Breakfast was not too good for the price of €18.

I was doing a motorcycle trip in the Pyrenees, and after having stayed in some simple hotels for several nights in a row, I was looking for something comfortable. This hotel did not disappoint - it was very comfortable and I was able to have a good rest in a quiet room on a high floor. Motorcycle parking in an underground garage was a bonus. The receptionist recommended an excellent restaurant in town (Alexandra), and advised me to attend the candle light procession in front of the Grotto, which was beautiful and very moving even for a non-religious person. The hotel is very well located - you can walk everywhere, and my room had a nice view of the river.

The breakfast was suprisingly poor and not at all worthy of a 4-star hotel.

The bed really was wonderful, very comfortable. Cleanliness excellent.

There is just one fly in the ointment at the Alba. One of the men on reception is just SO rude. He really is incredible - and if there has been a problem he remembers it for the next year and greets you with “ I hope we are not going to have the problems we had last year.” A shame he doesn’t leave as the other staff are amazing. As I arrived this year he was giving the same appalling treatment to one of the priests over packed lunches for a school group.

Room was great value, apart from being a bit old the room was exceptional. I even had a small balcony, Bed and linen, very comfortable, breakfast was good, nothing fabulous but good. Location was fantastic, could not have picked a better location. All the staff were exceptional, the best I have experienced in a long while, outstanding, thank you.

It was a bit old but for what we paid it was extremely good value. There really wasn't anything I didn't like. The staff really were a great lovely bunch, very welcoming which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank You to the Staff.

I enjoyed my breakfast very much Thankyou, especially as I didn't have to pay for it, that was complimentary by management. As I had booked 4 day's incorrectly and had to cancel, as Booking.com didn't refund me I am most satisfied that your hotel did receive the money. The lady working at breakfast time wearing a short skirt, boots and always chewed gum, wasn't friendly.

Other than the above comment, I was very happy with Alba Hotel, I would recommend my friends to stay there.

Helpful staff and friendly that go out of their way to help. Most of the rooms overlook the open space and river. Quiet, well light, and airconditioned. Coffee bar is available at ground level and opens long hours. Good breakfast on the first floor. Location is within walking distance to the Grotta. Two options of parking : public parking in front of hotel or private parking within the hotel grounds at a fee. Stayed at this hotel several times and will continue to do so. Highly recommend it

Quiet location , nice gardens, immaculately clean and cool in the tremendous heat. This was welcome . Staff were polite and helpful. Rooms and beds were spacious and comfortable. We didn’t use the restaurant as it seemed a little bit expensive. Good was cheaper outside in the surrounding restaurants.

The hotels location was very good, Away from the hustle and bustle yet only a short and very pleasant 10-15 minute walk along the river to the centre. The restaurant was excellent to with a good selection of traditional food. The waiting staff were legendary and we had a few laughs with them teaching me French. All of the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Finally the bed was massive and very comfortable. Three pillows wide.

There were two things that I thought could have been done better. Having said this, these are only very small issues. 1. There was no tea and coffee provided in the room. I really missed this in the morning and evening. Although mentioning this to people from other hotels they were the same. 2. I also think that for the price, breakfast should have been included.
