As always my Wife and I love the morning breakfast. The very nice Woman in charge of this has always been very pleasant and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. This location is good for us, as it's kind of a central point to getting together with friends and family. Of course if we come back down again, we'll be staying here again. Thank you.
I honestly can't think of anything that I consider negative. I do wish that my 31 years in Law Enforcement would have gotten me some kind of discount. Oh well, maybe by the next time we come out.

Great room for the price! And only 30 min away from the slopes (we went to Brighton and Snowbird). When we go on ski trips we usually only look for a clean place to sleep in and we don't splurge on hotels. So we were pleasantly surprised with the room we got here. It was quite big and very comfortable. It has a living room area with a couch, coffee table and even a small dining table, which we appreciated because most days we like to stay in after a full day of skiing. The bed was comfortable. The shower/bathtub was great too. Breakfast was good enough. Nothing fancy, but we got our egg sandwiches and coffee in.

Everything was great! Spacious room with double sink vanity outside of shower/toilet room. Almost instant hot water instead of having to let it run for 5 minutes to get warm. Suite type sitting area. Very clean. Comfortable king bed. We were in room 331. Excellent full breakfast buffet. My husband and I have been on a road trip traveling around the USA for the past month. We have stayed in a different city every night. We’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly in accommodations. A couple hotels have been very nice, but this is the best all around. We would highly recommend this hotel.

For a vegan like myself, the buffet offerings were basic, but i was able to put together a goof amount of calories to support lots of hiking the mountain trails. I appreciated having a very large room (king room). I also liked the indoor swimming pool and the large hot tub.
Because the room was large/long, the AC unit on the far end could not adequately provide enough cool, fan-blown air to the other end of the room (e.g., where the sink basins were, and the shower area). But it wasn't too uncomfortable.

The Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites is hands down the best hotel in Salt Lake and its surrounding areas. I can only liken it to my hotel stays in Las Vegas and Palm Springs with my parents and beloved grandparents in the 1970’s &1980’s. The customer service at the Crystal Inn is from a dying pool of ideologies surrounding restaurant and hotel management in which people actually took pride in their various positions and truly believed in providing their guests with a superior customer experience! Well with regard to outstanding customer service the Crystal Inn does not disappoint! And folks believe me you we’ve stayed in just about every hotel in the area! And absolutely no one does it like the Crystal In! Honestly no detail is too great with regard to the meticulous efforts of upper management and their employees. Specifically, the general manager, Vanessa. I had to take a double take when walking back from the car through the 1st floor corridor and sure enough it was Vanessa, who I had just spoke with the day before on the elevator and she was wearing her GM garb. Anyhow on this day she wore one of the housekeeping outfit. She stood reviewing a piece of paper and I said, “Hi Vanessa!” She immediately looked up from her paperwork and smiled from ear to ear. Anyhow we had a brief back and forth but she was focussed on getting back to cleaning the guest room. Now I thought that is total dedication! It really shows one’s character as well as leading by example ergo if Vanessa can step-in to lend a hand in any employees duties. Well the employee in any of these departments think to themselves, “Hey, I might be able to be promoted into a different position but until then I’ll strive for excellence!” When walking into the hotel lobby you are greeted with a welcoming smile and a respectful yet refreshing playful banter! So the front desk employees really set the stage for one’s stay at the hotel!

Overall value and friendly and helpful staff with the exception of one front desk employee. The "one" front desk employee wasn't impolite but was not genuinely helpful (see What I didn't like Section). However, this should not detract from my overall experience with every single one of the other employees I came across during my stay that were friendly and truly helpful.
Ants in the bath tub and Wifi that I could not get to work with my laptop. The Wifi not working with my computer wasn't a big deal but I was a little disappointed that the front desk employee was nonplussed about the ants in my bath tub (every day a new batch of ants 3 or 4 medium sized black ants most likely coming through the vent over shower) and she asked if I wanted a new room while at the same time telling me this could happen in any of our rooms. I didn't bother changing rooms after that rather "half-hearted" resolution as I didn't want to take the chance of getting another room with more problems PLUS ants (Was a bit of being asked to choose between "the devil you know versus the devil you don't").

5 minute drive from freeway and mall, free and ample parking, safe location, friendly staff, quick check in, good sized rooms, comfy beds, small fridge, heater & a/c work good, good wifi reception, indoor pool (lukewarm) and jacuzzi, check out later than most hotels and was at noon. Breakfast good (scrambled eggs, sausage links, bagels, different types of juice, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, potatoes). we got a great price, which was about $40 lower than other hotels in the area.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and useful in-room facilities like a coffee machine. Breakfast was good, and the location worked well for accessing the highway and nearby amenities.
conversation rather than being greeted. That said, the staff did warm up, and we prefer to overlook minor issues and enjoy our stay. Aside from that small glitch, we had no complaints.

Great affordable option when staying in SLC to hit the slopes. Close to bus stop from where the ski buses leave to Solitude/Brighton and Snowbird/Alta, and the hotel even provides a shuttle to the bus stop. Nice breakfast buffet and indoor pool/hot tub. Friendly staff. Quiet rooms.
Would be nice to serve breakfast on weekends earlier than 7 am because some people leave to the slopes earlier than that.

Although an older building it looks like it's kept up well and clean. Must have great staff to accomplish that. The front office staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a nice little buffet. The cut up fruit, eggs, and potatoes were best. Good juice choices. Location was phenomenal. We'll be reserving this place again when traveling through SLC.
If it were my hotel I'd update the carpeting first and then in small sections update the rooms, beds and buffet area, but they were very clean. Improvements like these will only make the hotel more popular.
