We booked this lovely spot for 3 nights, as we were attending the Royal Welsh Show for 2 days this week, and travelling to and from the show was around a 40 minute drive and was easy to get to and from here! My daughter and her partner had the king-size room (a treat as it was her birthday!). The the room was very beautiful and they absolutely loved it, with a large bathroom too! Me and my husband stayed in a twin room and again beds were really comfy, rooms well decorated and all very clean! Shower was great and the towels even better, nice and crispy, dried you really quickly and made you feel really clean after a shower, unlike what those soft fluffy towels do! Very eco friendly premises, nice garden area to sit in outside your room throughout the day, watching the birds visit and tweet away to their hearts content, and bees coming to feast on the fabulous garden flowers! Beautiful area to walk around in the woodland that was surrounding the place, there is a snicket (hidden path) up by the gate on your right, as you walk down past the property the path is left of the gate and takes you to a blissful small lake that you can sit and relax by, which we did one evening and was so tranquil and peaceful! There are villages are close by where you could go to eat of an evening. Now, when it comes to the breakfast, I'm sorry, but I must mention this when staying here, you will really enjoy it, we are used to cooked breakfasts when we stay away from home, I have to say we didn't miss it once, because Tamara did a wonderful job catering for us with her famous warm blueberry muffins, croissants, toast, jam, marmalade, proper butter, yogurt, various cereals, fruit, juice, tea, fresh filtered coffee, and came away feeling extremely full and set you up for the day! It was perfect! We look forward to coming again! P.S - Thank you for kindly sharing your recipes with me, I look forward to attempting the muffins!
Absolutely nothing, I do believe if I did have any issues, they would have been resolved quickly. They were very pleasant, and approachable.

I stayed at Henllys Estate B&B for three days and really enjoyed my time there. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful—perfect for a relaxing break. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the thought put into the food. The breakfast included great vegetarian options that were both fresh and tasty, and it was clear that care was taken to accommodate dietary preferences. It made mornings something to look forward to. Overall, it was a very nice experience and I’d be happy to return.
One small suggestion would be to include some creamer pods in the room as an alternative to fresh milk. We didn’t mind asking for milk when needed—the hosts were always kind and helpful—but having creamer readily available would have made things just a bit more convenient without needing to trouble anyone. Also, we noticed that network connectivity was quite limited during our stay. While it was a nice opportunity to unplug and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, a more reliable connection could be helpful for guests who may need it.

Excellent stay, the property is vast, quiet and in a good spot for being able to travel to surrounding areas. The hosts (Tamar and her family) are all very welcoming and kind. The breakfast included every morning is very nice, 3 fruits, yogurt, all different kinds of cereal, homemade muffins, croissants, wholemeal seeded toast and jam made in the local area with tea, coffee or orange juice as the choices for drinks. The room and bed are comfortable with a kettle and TV included and the shower and toilet were clean and tidy. Definitely would stay again.

We really loved the farm style of the property. The bedroom and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. The courtyard was a lovely place to sit and play cards or read and hear the birds. The lake at the property was also lovely. It was quite a drive from the places we’d planned to visit like Pen Y Fan and the Waterfall Country but it was an adventure! Tamar’s genuine attention to sustainability and environmental practices is great and something we’ve not seen elsewhere. Breakfast was brilliant - especially homemade muffins each morning and Tamar was exceptionally friendly!

We loved the location & the hosts were very welcoming, professional & friendly, with a wonderfully chilled, relaxed vibe. It was extremely competitively priced, and we would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to any prospective guests. Henllys Estate B&B offered beautiful aesthetics from our bedroom to the breakfast room & the scenery was breathtaking. If you want to get away from the noise & the fast pace of life, this is the perfect getaway retreat, nestled in the heart of the country but with easy access to towns, beaches & historical landmarks. Thank you for a memorable stay 🌈
Nothing, it was perfect!

I was with a friend, doing some cycling in the area. This was a lovely base. The host, Tamar, was really accommodating and helpful. The room was comfortable, with an patio area directly outside with tables and chairs. The breakfast was delicious, and the dining room is a very pleasant space. The estate is in a lovely setting and even has its own lake, a short walk away. Llandovery is a 5-minute drive - some nice pubs and interesting shops and the countryside in this area is beautiful.
Everything was great.

Absolutely beautiful property. The owner Tamar was extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants, home made muffins, toast and choice of cereals. The room was far larger than expected, and beautifully decorated.
If I had to make a criticism , it would be the TV was tiny, but we didn't use it so can't comment further. Also, there was a bit of dust on the bedside tables, but honestly, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Superb location!!! Beautiful surroundings, quiet , sheltered and peaceful but with far-reaching views across a valley. Old, characterful buildings set in extensive grounds and complete privacy. Also quite easy to get to by road and close to amenities in Llandovery. Good wi-fi, too. Breakfast served in a separate characterful room with exposed roof timbers. No cooked breakfast available, but Tamar prepares a delicious selection of fruit and pastries for each guest, along with the cereals, tea, coffee, toast etc to guarantee a tasty and filling start to the day.
Nothing really. The hosts are around and easy to talk to and keen to ensure guests enjoy their stay. Had I found something I didn’t like, I’m sure it would have been sorted!

The location in beautiful S. Wales countryside, with a small lake surrounded by well-managed, accessible, ancient woodland, within 5-10 minutes walk. Accommodation in comfortably refurbished farm buildings. Breakfast was great, not cooked, but with our host directly on hand to provide fresh coffee and tea, fresh toast and croissants etc. The space where we ate was ideal, a large room with a table around which all the 6 or 7 members in our group could sit and chat. Our host was very friendly and attentive, and I especially liked the eco-consciousness permeating every aspect of the B&B provision.
Accepting that I felt perfectly ok with it not being a cooked breakfast, there was almost nothing that I didn't like. I maybe would recommend total blackout curtains in the rooms, even if I solved the problem of window blinds that let in a little too much light by following our host's suggestion and hanging an extra towel over them.

Pleasant out of the way B&b in rural Wales. Lovely lady who runs the business and bakes the breakfast muffins. Parking on the flat concrete outside gravel was great for a motorcycle. Shower was great after a day in the saddle. Small rocking horse chairs were okay to watch TV at night. Loads of wardrobe space for bike kit was much appreciated. Wifi reception was superb.
I have reflux problems so can't eat the blueberry muffins at breakfast. But 1st morning Tamar let me make my own breakfast of poached eggs on brown toast. I did share a recipe for acid free muffins with Tamar and she did try this out on me the next morning. Unfortunately they didn't work out so a little bit of tummy trouble for me on the way home. I should have stuck with the poached eggs. Also first evening was a bit cool but ok as we wore our bike kit linings and fleeces to keep warm while watching TV. Both nights we walked into town as the weather was dry. Be aware that there is no pavement and be wary of the mini drivers who think they are in a rally. It's a 40 minute walk so maybe better to take your car and park at the castle car park before you have your evening meal.
