stayed in Rhiannon room on first floor for one night for a offriafing tripthe next day, its right on A40 so convenient location with a car park. It had recently been refurbished to a high standard, very spacious room and bathroom with a bath and shower over. A fridge with bottled water was a nice touch. We had an evening meal , the food was excellent.

It was very warm , stayed in may, had windows open all night , needed a fan for warm night or air con. Breakfast wasn't to my likiing, fancy presentation, small amount , very salty streaky bacon. Also had to wait ages to order as the waitress disappeared and we were on a tight schedule to meet up.

What a wonderful stay. The room was beautiful and was furnished to a very high standard (bonus points for the fridge in the room! Although can't comment if they are in all rooms). We ate in the restaurant in the evening which offered a really interesting restaurant menu as well as a bar menu offering more classic options. We ordered from both and everything we had was delicious. Breakfast was equally tasty and plentiful the next morning with a great choice. On top of this, the staff were so friendly and helpful, a shout out to the two ladies working during our stay! Thankyou. (Great location for Usk reservoir and Llyn Y Fan Fach+Llyn Y Fan Fawr hikes).

I have stayed at the Castle Coaching Inn many times over the last thirty years for both business and pleasure. It was great to return and find the place in such rude health, looking so good and so busy. The room was great: the towels, dressing gowns and facilities gave the place an impressively upmarket feel. The staff were all really lovely. One of them in particular was especially impressive although I never got her name. Anyway, everything was great - we will be back.

Welcoming and great service in a very comfortable and recently refurbished hotel. Excellent choice of fine dining or bar meals. Convenient hub to visit a variety of places in Wales, and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

No lift, so bear that in mind as there's steps in bar area as well as stairs to the rooms. Car park at rear is tarmacked but would be useful if there were fixing points for motorcycles or bikes. Two bedroom suite doesn't have sitting room and only a shared bathroom.

The front of house staff (Julien and Ffion) were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms had all been refurnished a couple of years ago and the room I stayed in was excellent. I ate in the Inn on the Saturday night and had breakfast on the Sunday morning. Both were top quality. The starters and main meals in the restaurant had recommended wines on the menu, which was a nice touch. I had the smoked eel salad followed by the skate.

No issues with my stay.

The staff were very welcoming and Ffion and Julian was very nice good value for money lovley meals all excellent lovley room lovley view.very quiet and rural.Lovley renovated.excellent Breakfast.Their young chef cooked excellent food,it was like art presented on you're plates.The staff looked after you very well and Ryan looked after us .our rooms were lovley and clean toiletries were very nice .

It was isolated there.

The great staff, the well designed and fitted rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It's an old building, designing and fitting out the rooms to a modern standard would have been difficult to achieve, but they managed it totally. A great place to stay and to eat.

Car park too small.

The bar has a fantastic atmosphere and very much a good pub. The rooms have just been refurbished to a very high standard. The food was outstanding and staff very good hosts. Perfect place I recommend it to everyone I see

Not much really..car park needs a bit a tidy up but that’s all.

The room was amazing great size bed, two comfy chairs mini fridge tea and coffee facilities, bathroom was immaculate, lovely friendly staff

Nothing overall Didn’t enjoy the food was a little overwhelming with too much garlic,

Convenient location on the A40 but quiet. Rooms very well presented. Breakfast was excellent and tasted delicious not just great produce but very well cooked

Car parking I got the last spot but looks like it may be getting extended
