We liked the accommodation and were pleasantly surprised that we had ground floor and then 1st floor bedroom/bathroom - which was not obvious from the booking details. Also that coffee/tea and breakfast basics were included - so we would describe it as an Air BnB booking - which was a relief. Gareth was so helpful and pleasant when we had a query. I would certainly recommend it to others and visit again myself. I am in my 80s so do struggle with technology and did find your booking system rather confusing and managed it in the end but not without some anxiety...but all in all Myself and my friend were very satisfied.

Just your booking system - it did confuse me plus the details did not make it clear that sleeping accommodation was on the 1st floor - but that's a small matter! Also didn't realise until the eve of our departure that there is a Gremlin pub virtually next door - and I used to live nearby and had hardly noticed that - it may have made a difference with regard to us deciding whether or not to go out to eat or just have a pleasant drink in the Gremlin pub!

Own front door. Convenient location, walking distance to supermarket and pubs / restaurants. Excellent kitchen facilities which allowed you to comfortably self cater. Very Spacious, with 2 toilets. Option to sleep downstairs, although we didn't.

No freezer compartment. Mattresses and pillows could be better. Poor message replies / communication. Pub garden outside could be noisy with late night drinkers and there was an event on when we stayed which we weren't told about despite it being immediately outside our front door / bedroom window.

Unique little cottage in ideal location. We had the best night sleep ever on a holiday, due to the double glazed, well fitted windows, the firm but comfortable mattress and the not too hot covers for the time of year.I was impressed, how well my special requests (because of various medical conditions) were taken into account! The Manager is living next door and the owners are Professionals. A toilet upstairs and downstairs was very useful! We did not know how the "Free Breakfast" would work on six nights. Now we realise that the items are left in the kitchen on arrival and if more is needed during the stay you can ask for it

Somewhere in the accommodation description a cooker top is mentioned and the user manual is there, but there is only a microwave. The crockery is limited but very clean! However, with a bit of thought we managed, without ready meals or takeaways and had a lovely holiday!

Basic but lovely little cottage . Milk(full 4 pints semi skimmed in fridge), full sized carton of orange juice, tea, coffee, butter, jams, cereals for breakfast. GF bread and cereals supplied by Gareth. Microwave there if needed, also toaster and kettle. Bed comfy. 2 singles in ours. Pillows perfect for me. Toilet in bathroom and also downstairs. Shampoo and shower gel in bathroom and plenty of hand wash. Sofa bed and fold up bed downstairs would make it ideal for a family or friends to stay. If weather is very hot (on the few odd days of the year ) I would take a fan for upstairs (though there may be one available if asked-we didn’t need one but the weather wasn’t hot when we stayed. Location excellent-supermarket next door and just 5 minute walk to centre of Brecon and restaurants along the way. Pub few steps away through the car park with reasonable prices, friendly staff and locals and an excellent jukebox. Close to amenities and sightseeing spots in Brecon. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay if visiting Brecon and area.

The turn into the car park was really tight but car park itself had enough room for turning and parking.

Great little cottage in perfect location with free parking. Very cosy. Nice to have two toilets and a hot bath as well as a shower. Kitchen facilities perfectly adequate with toaster, kettle and hob. Dogs werre made very welcome in the cottage as well as in the pub! Very good value for money in Brecon.

Shower was tepid and the sofa uncomfortable but we managed fine.

Gareth was a very welcoming and hospitable host. We had everything we needed, and the dogs were also made very welcome. There was bread, milk, jams, butter, juice and cereals all laid on, and we loved that we could park next to the accommodation. There was outside seating available, and we were literally 50m from the canal and an open space with play park. Our son was being ordained in the cathedral this weekend, and this accommodation was ideal, as it was within walking distance of pretty much everything! We also loved the atmosphere coming from the Gremlin Hotel. It made us feel that we were on holiday abroad. Shops and pubs were within easy walking distance. Perfect, and would definitely come again. It was warm, but Gareth provided fans. So nothing really.

Cleanliness, facilities and location. Fresh milk and bread provided for breakfast which was lovely. A genuine nice feel of the property and surroundings.

There was no hob/cooking rings which were advertised as being included. Also no hot water throughout our stay unless through the shower.

The property was lovely and has everything you needed. The breakfast items were a nice idea and Gareth our host was friendly and helpful. Lovely being so near the canal and cycle route. Would stay again

Only negative for us was the pillows on the bed were very flat but that’s it.

This was our second year in a row of staying. The fact we booked a second time in my opinion shows how great this place is. Really good situation. So close to the town and local Amenities. The accommodation is really comfortable. The kitchen set up is ideal for easy self catering meals.

The downside is the shower is tricky. Temperature regulation very difficult and the sofa isn’t best comfortable.

The Market Town of Brecon is beautiful, lots of things to see, within a short drive and walking distance to some attractions. Some lovely independent shops, cafes within Brecon itself. People were welcoming and friendly.

Not a great variety of Restaurants in Brecon. Missing an Italian, Greek etc or a restaurant that isn't just Pub Food. There were some Indian/Asian restaurants, but these do not cater well for children.
