Picked this location on the basis of having stayed in many hotels which we have had issues with the rooms the noise etc...so happy I did choose this lodge it was quiet the room was very clean and comfortable had the best night sleep ever, the host was more than attentive and welcoming we had access the communal areas which was a bonus and had the best time just the 2 of us outside in the sun on the seating area with beautiful views, the breakfast was outstanding more than we could eat and very tasty well cooked, would recommend to family and friends and will no doubt return in the future very happy with overall experience

The location was ideal being situated right on the A40. The property was quite simply, stunning. Very well appointed, all conveniences you could wish for, a massive kitchen and lounge area and wonderful bedroom, bathroom and shower. I arrived by cycle and was allowed to bring my cycle inside. Highly recommended.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property, my only minor, very slight issue was I couldn’t find a bowl to eat my cornflakes from. Perhaps I didn’t look hard enough but fortunately I bought my own so no complaints whatsoever.

Set in a perfect location for our Brecon Beacons hike around the 4 waterfalls. We travelled 4 hours from our home town in the East of England and went straight to Brecon Beacons. Afterwards the drive from there to our B&B provided us with some stunning views of Wales and pleasing roads, it was a pleasant easy drive taking around 30 minutes. Greeted at the front door and shown the communal lounge area with comfy sofa and big tv and a communal kitchen with a pool table having everything you need. Clean Towels and robes provided in the room which was clean and comfy also consisting of iron, hairdryer, kettle and TV with Netflix already logged into a guest account. Two small pubs up the road if you want food and a beer or we decided to drive in Brecon village instead which took around 15/20 mins for dinner where we found a nice little Italian restaurant but there's a good few other places to choose from and a few local pubs on the high street. Breakfast the next morning we came out to stunning views of the mountains in the morning sun and walked over to the cafe next to the petrol station for a nice fried breakfast which hit the spot. Perfect for what we needed.

Great, friendly and helpful host. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very stylish decor. Comfy bed which was a blessing after long hikes. Good base camp for hiking trips in Brecon Beacons, allowing to reach most of the interesting paths with15-35 min drive. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to go.

Just of the small things, the main window in the room is not opening at all, as it is a privacy window with privacy glass just letting the light in. There is a roof window that you can open with a pole if you want some air, but obviously not when it's raining 😉. Other than that, no complaints.

The B&B was in a perfect village location with pubs serving food and two Petrol Stations both with mini supermarkets. Our hosts were more than accommodating, such a lovely couple who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a great experience. We travelled with our dogs and I’m so happy to say Castle Lodge is extremely dog friendly. Our cooked breakfast was humongous and very tasty with a choice of cereals and locally sourced coffee which tasted amazing! Our comfortable room was spotlessly clean with a beautiful four poster bed and high tech bathroom with an all singing and dancing monsoon shower complete with jets and mood lighting. We were travelling with our teenage Son so a very comfortable single bed was added to our family room. There was plenty of tea/coffee making facilities with tasty biscuits and a huge bottle of mineral water for us to use in the Brita filter kettle with plenty of tea varieties to choose from. We had access to a lovely kitchen with a fridge freezer that we could put our shopping in and a beautiful lounge area to sit and relax complete with a huge television with Sky Cinema channels etc. We highly recommend staying at Castle Lodge B&B, we’ll definitely be back next year.

Absolutely nothing to dislike about this property.

Full English breakfast was superb and very filling! Orange juice and tea also available, with top-ups if required. Cereals also offered, but declined as our cooked breakfast was more than sufficient. The accommodation was much better than expected: bedroom large, comfortable bed, shower room modern and clean. We also made use of the very large lounge area, with its comfortable seating and TV. Dining area had lovely rural views. The owners made us feel very welcome, so much so that we hope to go back!

Beautiful location, easy to find and reasonable price. The room was lovely and the bathroom looked absolutely amazing. Nice parking space in-front of the inn. The hosts were wonderful and very welcoming, they even borrowed some equipment for stargazing which was really nice of them. The breakfast was very generous and delicious and at a brilliant price for £10/person, which we added later on.

The bed was quite squeaky.

We stayed 2 nights and we had the most wonderful time. The hosts were extremely welcoming and empathised greatly with our beautiful dog who is slowing down due to arthritis. Nothing was too much trouble for this young couple - including the delicious breakfasts which included a vegan option for myself. It was a very relaxing time and a wonderful experience staying there. We will definitely be going again and would recommend the Castle Lodge very highly. Thank you.

The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed here as a family with two very young kids, and they provided us with 2 bed rails that were already nicely fitted upon arrival. They also provided our kids with toys to play with in the living area - my kids had a great time. Room and toilet were also very clean and comfortable.
