The location is in the centre of Brecon and is good. The hotel was comfortable throughout. Everything was good value including breakfast. Will happily visit again..

The staff where absolutely lovely and friendly. Easy check-in, room as I expected it to be. Food and drinks as excepted and priced reasonably. I came with my 5 month old puppy, the staff where amazing with her. She was aloud in all public places with us and I didn't feel I had to leave her alone.
Like stated above everything was as expected, except for the shower. That wasn't the best, could be way improved. Back to the puppy and this is a suggestion. You charge £10 a night for pets. Perhaps for this charge a little welcome pack. Dog bowls in the room with a little treat for pets with a list of local vets and other furry friendly establishments that you eat and drink at, other than yourselves.

An imposing building located right in the heart of Brecon. Lovely bar with a real wood fire as a centre piece. Nice choice of ales. Friendly staff at reception and the bar. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Lovely warm shower, too. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a smart TV.
The upper floors and our room (number 19) were cold, and it was zero degrees outside. I felt the radiators in the public areas and our room, but they were all off. The lower floor and bar/restaurant were warm, and so it must have been a cost saving exercise by the management. I asked for this to be rectified several times, and a day later, we were provided with a portable heater. It's not a major drama, but the bar ran out of Guinness and bitter on the Friday night, leaving only lager. It's not an ideal situation for a chain hotel on a weekend. We ate in the restaurant on the first night but were disappointed with the portion sizes for the price paid. The following night, we ate elsewhere for this reason.

The property was perfectly located in the middle of Brecon and only a 15 minute drive from Pen Y Fan. The drive through the country side was beautiful and although there wasn't any parking at the property it was only a 7 minute walk to the Watton carpark where you can park overnight for free. Staff were friendly, the food was excellent and the bedroom was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again.
The bathroom door was hard to close and the room smelt like someone had smoked in there before, however the smell was very mild and the room was very clean.

After a bit of a miscommunication - we got the accessible room I needed, which was spacious, and had a wet room with safety alarms, 2 types of shower chairs, and plenty of hand rails. We had a meal there for my birthday, and the service and food were both excellent. They even paid for one of my cocktails as a birthday gesture! Our waitress that evening was Kelsey, and she was friendly, and very helpful. She was attentive, and helped us all have a lovely evening.
When I booked, I noted that I'd need an accessible room, but on arrival we were given one on the second floor without access to a lift, and the note wasn't ready until the next morning. Once it was seen, everything was amended very efficiently - and I was very grateful! Not too much of a problem, just make sure everyone is clear on what's required for your visit.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Brecon. I really enjoyed my stay very much, very kind staff in the information area, delicious food in the restaurant. I was a bit dissapointed about the cleaning of my room though. I didn’t have my room cleaned for two days and I had to ask the staff in the information for someone to come and clean my room. In spite of that, I didnt have my room cleaned again the day after.

A great location, right in the middle of town and easy walking distance from the canal, cathedral, shops and the parkrun by the river. It's basically a big pub with rooms above it, which was fine for an overnight stay. The bar meals in the evening were good. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were efficient and friendly.
Overnight car parking was a bit far away when carrying bags, and the second flight of stairs to our room was also a bit steep when carrying bags. Still, keeps us fit!

Staff were very welcoming and the room was a good size. The hotel is dog friendly which was great and meant we could eat in the quiet area of the bar with our dogs. Beds were100% comfy and though the hotel is in town centre - it was very quiet street at night. There is no hotel parking but we were able to use the bays which allow free parking 6pm to 8am - fie for us as we were away just after 8am.
Stairs to second floor are quite steep - ok for us - but not easy if not stead on feet

the bed was super comfy, I loved the duvet and pillows, so soft! nice thick curtains blocking out light. It was very cold in the room early morning, it was frosty outside so could be expected. there was a small electric heater provided which fixed that issue (nice warm feet when exiting the shower) The shower itself was fine, pressure good enough but there was a leak or something in the bath as the floor had a puddle when I got out.. not a big issue though, I just put a towel down after. plenty of tea and coffee provided + decaf and lots of biscuits :) breakfast was fine, vegetarian options available. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. overall very happy with my stay and good value for money.
I was planning on having an early breakfast for about 7.30 but I was informed the chef or kitchen manager wasn't in yet. I went back to my room for half hour and once I came back all was fine. I overheard a member of staff saying that the kitchen manager had crashed on their way in so that explains the delay which is obviously out of their control. the roads were icy that morning. the breakfast itself was fine, i was happy there was a vegetarian option, however they must have been out of hash browns as I had an extra sausage instead so no big deal. there was also juice and porridge, jams etc provided.

The Wellington was a classic pub experience. The staff were very kind. They were exceptionally accommodating of my dog. Location is right in the center of Brecon in walking distance of everything in town. The room was clean and comfortable. I was very happy here and really enjoyed my stay. The staff made me really feel welcome, and we're very attentive to my needs. It was just a great experience all around and I would definitely stay here again.
