I’m sure we all want different things from a hotel. Our expectations vary and we can often be surprised by what is important to us and what is not. And this hotel exemplifies that perfectly. I spent two nights here. My standard room had been made up by Stacey (according to a little card left on the bed) and she’d done a fantastic job. It was a little smaller than I’m used to but it was extremely well appointed and very comfortable. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, great TV, plenty of water and a great selection of hot drinks by the kettle on the desk. The bathroom steamed up easily, but chiefly because the shower was large and produced a seemingly unlimited supply of hot water, and ‘proper’ look roll hung proudly next to the toilet rather than the rubbish one so often finds. The bed was just lovely to lie in, the curtains kept out every bit of light and I heard absolutely nothing of the wedding party being held elsewhere in the hotel. I also suspect they planned it that way – and that’s a rare degree of consideration. All my accommodation boxes ticked. Very well ticked. At breakfast the next morning I was presented with tired looking cutlery, and my tea arrived in one of those steel teapots rather than a China one. Of more interest to me though was the fact that my huge breakfast was perfectly cooked, of very high quality and was absolutely delicious. And the tea? Nicely brewed with none of that ‘gnats wee’ you find in other hotels. The staff were charming and very helpful too. So everything that was important to me was there. In spades. And then of course there’s the staff. When I arrived to check in I was met by Asha. It took me only a minute or two to decide that she was the best hotel receptionist I’d ever come across.

Stunning building and grounds. The breakfast was good, we enjoyed the freshly made to order hot food. The period room on the top floor was amazing with great views! Bed was very comfortable and good size. The staff were extremely accommodating and polite.
The first room given wasn’t as per the pictures on the booking.com, however after asking to move we were shown a room that reflected what we expected and beyond. Breakfast was a bit expensive for what you got.

The hotel and facilities were very good as were the grounds. The position of the hotel was ideal for our visit.
The breakfast needs working on for the price you charge. You could tell items were pre cooked before service. Sausages had probably gone through a fat fryer as the skins had shrunk which doesnt happen if pan fried.Maybe a full tomato and not half of one.The baked beans in the ramakin were nearly solid which shows had been boiled for a while. Breakfast is the dish which sets you up for the day in both quality and presentation unfortunately this did not.

I have stayed several times before when visiting family. It is one of my go to places to stay when staying in Wolverhampton. It's a known quantity with clean rooms that have all you need. This time I was travelling alone so it was essential for me to feel safe during my stay which I did. There is a well-lit car park which I needed as I was arriving when it was dark. Love that they have a restaurant on site and that room service was available. Great buffet breakfast with the option of a cooked to order meal too. Good communication with my specific requests being acknowledged and responded to.
I am not sure if it is because I always book via Booking.com but we have never stayed in the old, charming side of the building.

This is a friendly comfortable hotel. The breakfast choice was very good. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and spacious. I arrived late and was able to get something to eat from the bar - a very nice surprise.
They sent way too many messages prior to my stay asking all sorts of questions like "the reason for my visit". Messages were repeated but my queries were not properly answered.

Room 38 seemed tucked away on the end of the corridor, so heard very little noise from others. The Receptionists were very welcoming and the American waitress was very attentive and made us feel special (went above and beyond).
The heat in room 38 was unbearable when first entering the room. Had to turn on the fan and open the windows for an hour or so, but didn't know where the heat was coming from as all the radiators were turned off. It wasn't hot outside either. Could really benefit from A/C if heat comes from rooms below. On the opposite scale the sink's hot water taps in the bathroom didn't seem to get hot, even though there was a hot water warning label there. The shower's hot water worked fine though.

Very convenient for where I was visiting in Wolverhampton , Staff were very pleasant. Room was comfortable and breakfast was very nice. Overall a very comfortable stay and if needed to stay in Wolverhampton again would return as good value for money
Coffee at breakfast, not much flavour , although replaced with a slightly stronger pot when asked . Bathroom bath had a very poor repair done on the chipped enamel if I was being really picky! but shower over it was very good.

The character of the building was breathtaking. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms, grounds and decor.
The mattresses could benefit hugely from a soft topper as they were rock hard and bare, I could feel the seams and springs. The continental breakfast is way overpriced. It includes toast, cereals and fruit. Any hot food was to be ordered and paid for separately. We ended up paying £25 for 3 slices of toast and then extra charges for a decent coffee.

I have wanted to stay at The Mount Hotel ever since i was younger as i grow up in Tettenhall . It was always viewed as a very old and historic building full of history and very comfortable . Staff were amazing so friendly and the room and breakfast were very nice.
I appreciate not everyone can stay in the main building and i did ask if I could , but i was put in a room in the newer wing at the back which is very unattractive compared to the main hotel. There needs to be some monies spent on the outside of the building .

Place was beautiful and the vibe of the entrance was lovely. The room was good sized. The bathroom was comfortable with a very important window. The bed/pillows were ok. There were plenty of electricity outlets which hotels tend to not have a lot of.
There was a lot of noise in the hallway all night long. I get there was a wedding but it seemed that the guests kept partying in the hallway after the party had ended. The toilet made a very very strong noise every 10-15 minutes that kept waking us up.
