Our room was very nice. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was fabulous and very fulfilling. The rooms were impeccably clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable although the walking common areas in the hall, etc., were very warm.

Are air conditioner wasn’t up to par and they had to reset it. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating to fix that. The gas propane tanks for the fire pits weren’t working correctly, and there should be extra propane on hand to help with guests who want to sit by the fire. We eventually got it working because we used a lighter to light it. The woman there told us it was just probably out of gas-and said there was no other propane. I told her we should use a lighter and she said no that wouldn’t solve the problem. I used the lighter anyway, and it worked.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at The Litchfield Inn as a couple for one night on June 2nd – and instantly wished we had booked a longer stay. We fell in love the moment we arrived! Our room was spacious, spotless, and full of charm. The whole property is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, elegant, and filled with that authentic Connecticut character. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the terrace, followed by a delicious breakfast – it was the perfect start to the day. This place has a special kind of magic. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

There's nothing to complain about.

What a beautiful and cozy hotel to use as a jumping off point in the area. The room was very large (more than big enough for the four of us in my family) with very comfortable beds and nice linens. The bathroom was also modern and I always appreciate a separate sink/mirror from the shower/toilet when traveling with my children and husband. We will definitely stay at this property again.

It's a bit out of the way, but as are most hotels in this part of CT. We had a rental car so it was pretty easy to get to nearby towns. There is a delicious pizza place just a few minutes from the Inn that I highly recommend!

The inn is beautiful, and was decorated elegantly for Christmas. I loved the working fireplace in the great room on level one. Also, the snack/refreshments area was exceptional with home baked chocolate chip cookies, chips, soda, and a cute Harney Tea box set. Our room had a smart tv, which we could use to connect our phone and stream Netflix, Hulu, etc… on top of the many complimentary cable and movie channels offered.

There were a few spots on the carpet in our room that were wet… I’d assume they were stains that were recently treated or scrubbed, but hadn’t dried yet. So that was a little off putting. Nothing I made a big fuss over though. And the tub/shower was a little awkward because of the creaking and unstable-feeling floor beneath it. Granted, I’m a 200+ pound man, but it definitely could use some repair.

The holiday decor was breathtaking, making the entire property sparkle in the dark winter night. The front desk staff member was exceptionally nice— she called before we checked in to confirm we were still coming and inform us that she was there until midnight. Upon checking in, every guest receives a fresh chocolate chip cookie! The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have ever eaten at a hotel— omelette bar, fresh fruits, pastries, pancakes, and so much more. The inside of the hotel has more of a cabin feel and the library was our favorite room to sit in. Overall I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The walls are not very soundproof and we could hear voices from the nearby rooms. Otherwise everything was exceptional.

very clean and pleasant

It’s a gorgeous venue with cozy sitting rooms and my room this time (third stay) was very pretty, with a beautiful bathroom, electric fireplace and very comfortable bed. The fresh welcome cookies are such a nice touch!

The only improvement would be with details of housekeeping. The blow dryer wasn’t in my room - but the staff is SO friendly and immediately sent me one.

Everything was exceptional, the staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable, they gave you home made chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast was second to none.

Beautiful decor, clean, fireplaces were going, outdoor fire pit. We ran around outside in the back yard and lawn games. Best chocolate chip cookies ever! Multiple hang out areas. Close to restaurants, shopping. We stayed for a Gilmore Girls getaway and it was close to areas of interest and hiking.

Kind of quiet - not a lot of people, action or staff but also nice to be quiet!! So it depends on what you’re looking for.

I was extremely happy with my room. Beautiful and spacious. I think I was given the wrong room but I didn't mind as it was so lovely. Absolutely beautiful hotel.

There was a loud buzzing noise coming from the hallway I could hear loudly in my room. I asked about it and they seemed to have some look.at it the next day. Breakfast was average. I expected more from a hotel like this.
