Excellent hostel. The room was very clean, and the air con was excellent. There were some nice common areas to hang out in, and the free breakfast was simple but really appreciated. The staff were really helpful. And there were bikes to hire from the hostel if you wanted to (I didn't, but it was a nice option).

The hostel cat got into my bed in the night, which was a bit of a surprise! The plug by my bed was a bit dodgy too and didn't work that well. I also didn't think the location was the best. Close to a park, but a bit of a walk from the old town, and a very long walk from the bus and train stations. Then again, I didn't think Ipoh was that nice anyway, so maybe there isn't that nice a bit of town!

A really great hostel: - helpful efficient staff at checkin, building has been fitted out very well with many indoor and outdoor spaces, all with ceiling fans to move the air, and plenty of power outlets around. there is a nice plant theme throughout (but mosquitos are fairly limited). dorms are excellent with aircon, great beds with high spaces, privacy curtain, light & power outlet, large secure locker for each bed. simple free breakfast is a nice touch too. kitchen available. some cold drinks for sale. easy walk to local food outlets, bars, supermarket, and 15mins to historic quarter.

dorms facing the street may get a bit of traffic noise, but free earplugs are available. lovely plants environment: just need to keep the water up to those that don't get rain

The location was spotless—close to shops and restaurants while still quiet at night. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in, which made everything hassle-free. The single bed was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for simple breakfast.

Did notice some outside property noise during the nighttime hours, which made it a bit challenging to sleep on a couple of occasions. Surprisingly, the host did prepare free ear bugs to guest, very considerate! it didn’t detract from overall experience.

Everything about this hostel is perfect. It is clean and comfortable, the staff are always friendly, and the common areas are fantastic. The rooftop area is beautiful. They even give you a quick tour of the property when you check in. The free breakfasts are great too with a variety of options, and the free tea/coffee/milo at any time of the day is great too. Great location — a little far from the main tourist areas, but it’s in the heart of the city with the locals and close to the mall if you need anything, so no complaints! :)

We stayed there 3 years ago, and came back, and it was just as nice was we remembered! The owner/staff were very friendly and nice to chat with. The room was spacious and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were clean with hot water. We loved the hostel design; such a beautiful and fun place to stay at. Filtered water and washer available for guests. Great location; within walking distance to Ipoh Old Town (less than 15mn walk) and nice restaurants and cafes nearby. And the owner's cat is so cute!!

The staff is very friendly. The guests are all polite and respect everyone’s privacy. The hostel is loacted near the city centre, 10-min walk to Concubine Alley and other touristy locations. There are many restaurants and a lot of shops within walking distance including The Store and KK Mart so you don’t have to worry about running out of travel items of being hungry.

The toilet needs regular cleaning. Also, they need to have different pairs of sandals for toilets and walking in the rooms.

The house was special, so nicely kept old building with the modern design vibe. A lovely lady as a receptionist. A lot of different type of spaces to sit and relax. Bunkbed was spacious, a locker good. Free instant coffee and tea whole day. Cat was lovely. Washing machine was great with only RM2 laundry powder fee to pay.

Breakfast was minimal, only white toast, peanut butter and jam and some unhealthy cereal. I ended up buying instant oats, fruit and yoghurt from a big supermarket nearby. Anyway, free coffee saves a lot of money.
