We had a lovely modern room, all the amenities & it was perfect for us. The bed was very comfy & an excellent power shower! Freda was the most friendly host & kindly arranged for us to have breakfast prior to our early departure. Loved the location & a nice walk into town centre. Free parking. Our main reason for visiting Dumfries was to visit Dalscone Farm, so I highly recommend The Huntingdon as a base for a holiday or just a night. No doubt we will return.
We only had 1 day could have easily stayed for longer.

As I walked out of the station on a cold, wet, dark December afternoon, my attention was immediately drawn to this hotel directly ahead, lit up with a few (tasteful) Christmas lights. I was immediately happy with my choice of booking. I had already received a text about instructions to access my room in the event that no one would be there to direct me themselves… another reassuring signal. On entering the hotel, the feeling didn’t subside. Everything about this place has obviously been given a lot of attention to detail. Peaceful, cosy, and full of character, it’s a beautiful establishment and I was very comfortable during my stay. Breakfast was great, as I had come to expect, and the owner was friendly and helpful.

The Huntingdon is in a quiet location near the railway station and about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. We asked for two rooms close together and were given Rooms 1 & 2. It was like being in a private wing of our own, accessed by secure entry. The rooms and bathroom are tastefully decorated and beds are very comfortable. We did not have breakfast so can't comment. Unfortunately we did not meet the owner however she kept in touch to ensure everything met our needs.

A very warm friendly welcome by the host. Had a fantastic stay. Car parking was free. Room was immaculate, and spacious, nice and warm. Coffee maker and a kettle. Tv on the wall, great picture. Great shower with plenty of hot water. The location was perfect, near the train station. Short walk to town. Breakfast was excellent. The night before an order is put in for breakfast and what time was suitable to eat. Great idea. The host, she went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend Huntingdon B&B.
Loved every minute there.

The location close to the centre is very good with off road parking at the location. Check in was very easy and the room was lovely. Smelt so fresh and was so clean and had everything you needed for our stay. The private bathroom again was very clean and fresh and was of a good size with a bath and stand alone shower. The bed was massive and very comfy meaning a good nights sleep. We ordered breakfast for the following morning and this came freshley cooked with very good produce. If you stay have the breakfast as it is well worth it. The owner is a lovely lady who is very friendly. I would have expected to have paid more for the B&B as it is so nice. Very good value !!

Lovely place to stay. Very quiet and the place was immaculate. Super clean and the fridge was an added bonus! Definitely would recommend staying here. Freda was lovely & communication over the stay was great! She even opened up the breakfast room for us as we had to leave earlier than the breakfast sittings so we could get some cereal. There isnt anything at all I could say regarding The Huntingdon that can fault this lovely place for a holiday break, however we were there on business and the wifi wasnt too great in the suite we stayed in but this is in no way a negative at all and would most definitely be booking for next year! There is nothing we can say at all to fault The Huntingdon or the lovely owners.

Excellent location, very friendly and accommodating owner. The room was very clean and warm, which is exactly what we needed travelling in chilly March. We would definitely book that place again.
We stayed for 3 nights, and one night (weekend) there wasn't enough parking space for our car. We had to search for parking space nearby, which took time. That was the only thing that didn't meet our expectations.

Room was clean and had all the required facilities for our overnight stay. Owner was very helpful and organised more coffee capsules for teh room. The breakfast was well cooked and all we needed to set ourselves up for a days travelling.
We did have problems with the parking late at night, mainly because one of the other guests had parked across two spaces. We ended up parking in a paid car park across the road.

We had a lovely stay at the Huntingdon. The room was lovely, very warm and comfortable and immaculately clean. We got a warm welcome from our host and felt very relaxed and at home. I liked that our room on the ground floor was so easy to access from the car park and no stairs to carry our case up! We requested our breakfast the night before and were very pleased to get exactly what we wanted at the time requested. The hotel is very close to the railway station and just a short walk into the town centre. I was grateful to our host for recommending a nice and very reasonable place to eat. I would like to stay here again.
No complaints from us!
