The Farmers Inn is run by a lovely couple. They are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Rooms and bathrooms are a good size, quiet and thoughtfully organised. An entrance hall within the room ensures that you do not track dirt into the bedroom when it is raining. Rooms are beautifully lit and can be switched to low bed side light at night. The local community is friendly. One can join in conversation with locals and other Inn guests if desired. Food is excellent with a lot of choice. The scenery and walks along the river and coast were fabulous particularly with autumn colour matching some of the deep red stone on area houses. There is no end to the attractions in the area but it was not crowded.

This was a family friendly place in a tranquil spot run by and catering for real people. Lovely atmosphere pub with nice food in the evening The family room was a good price, quiet and spacious with parking, tea facilities, breakfast & wifi included. The shower was brilliant with lovely hot water. Lots of running and walking routes nearby.
We would have preferred to sit in the main pub area for dinner but were seated in a side room as we had kids. Perhaps fair, in case we had disturb other diners but it was a shame for us.

The breakfast was good with fruit juice, yoghurt or cereal and there was the choice of a full english (large or a smaller portion) and a vegan option. Breakfast was from 0800 to 0830 so be punctual, although the proprietor did personally wake up a guest by knocking on their door when it was getting close to the 0830 cut off. The rooms were very modern, clean and spacious. We went for the family room which had a double bed and a single bed even though there was only the 2 of us - the size of the room allowed us to spread out. The double bed mattress was firm and there were a selection of pillows for the connoisseur to choose from. The room had USB charging points in a few of the wall sockets and the radiator system was operational which was necessary when we stayed as it allowed us to just take the chill off the room. A towel radiator was also operational in the bathroom which served to both heat the room and dry our towels. The shower was large, modern and had a sufficiently powerful spray to give an meaningful wash. Body wash and hand soap dispensers were full. There was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee making options. The custard creams disappeared within 5 minutes of arriving in the room.
The shower extraction fan was a bit furry and needed a good hoover. The entrance door window could have benefited from a vanity curtain, not just to prevent folk accidentally looking in, but more to block the sunlight streaming into the room in the summer mornings. There was a bit of road traffic noise and noise from folk leaving the bar in the evenings but that's what ear plugs were invented for.

Friendly welcome, very nice quiet room with attractive decoration. Evening meal was very enjoyable, the steak pie and lasagne being of high quality. Good cask ale too. Breakfast was excellent. The bacon, sausages and egg were good quality. We appreciated the opportunity to make our choice the night before. Overall it was hard to fault the place and we will return.
The pot with cigarette ends in outside our room was off putting, it should have been emptied, but that was our only criticism.

Nice room situated in an annexe at the rear of the pub. Easy parking right outside the room. Nice traditional bar. Food was good and the full English in the morning was very good.
Our room was situated next to a store room which kept the water pump for the 3 rooms in the annexe. So everytime someone ran water in their rooms the water pump kicked in and so was a little noisy.

Cannot fault the accommodation, food or staff. We had a fantastic few days there. Excellent location for touring around the area. Chalet was clean and was really like home from home with comfy chairs and a big telly. Food was of the highest standard and homemade burgers to die for . Staff were lovely and welcoming.

Lovely rooms, travelled with 5month baby and having the car right outside the door was so handy, breakfast was delicious and rooms were really clean and tidy, lovely rooms for a really low price
Had such a fantastic stay, only thing was the car park is in need of having some pot holes filled in but this didn't impact our stay whatsoever

Loved the accommodation being across from the pub. Was lovely having a little bench outside of each room and we enjoyed sitting there in the evening!
Spacious room and bathroom. Clean and tidy and really comfortable beds. Great choice of TV. The breakfast was to die for!!! The evening meal we had in the pub was also great. Proper pub grub and no cheap ingredients! All staff very pleasant and the stay was exceptional value for what we received!

The breakfast was all thast we wanted. We could have eaten more if we had wished to.
Really there was nothing to not like. The place was a nice little village and the pub in the middle of it. This is how pubs used to be. There will never be the great crowds we used to know; but these little rooms will be just the thing to make up the income so that the pub can be what we would expect of a village pub these days.
