Had a great stay at Scandic! The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The facilities were modern, clean, and well maintained, making the stay comfortable. Definitely great value for money, with a good balance of quality and affordability. Would stay again!

I was disappointed by the lack of a small fridge in the room when needed. Additionally, the breakfast options could be more diverse. Some extra vegan meat, sausages, or omellets would make it more inclusive for guests who don’t eat other types of meat. A better-managed kitchen budget could help diversify the offerings for all guests.

The room was nice and clean with a harbour view where we could watch the ferries coming in and out of the marina. There's a big supermarket and a bus stop next door to the hotel. The breakfasts had everything we might need for a family of 4 including a small kid. The patio space is really GREAT - huge, with lots of coze spots, games, etc. Kids just loved it. The taxi to the city center is only around 10 EUR, so with a family it's even cheaper than a taking bus.

Whlie the restaurant is good at breakfast, unfortunately it wasn't that good at dinner time - very long waiting times, not careful about the orders (they forgot my side dish and never brought it later although they were going to) - just feels like there's too little staff and they are overwhelmed. The food quality is good though. The neighborhood is being rebuilt so it's not somewhere you'd wanna walk around at night.

This is a great hotel for families ! There is a floor for kids and families with table tennis and other games. Even a climbing wall! Modern and quirky furniture through out the public areas. Our kids had fun there, and there were quite a few other kids for them to play with. The breakfast was extensive and quite good quality with good gluten free and dairy free options. Even vegan kalles and hummus was on offer! It is served on the family floor as well as the ground floor, which worked well . The room was clean and modern with no sharp edges so very good for young children. No fridge which was a disappointment. Bunk beds were hard and two singles pushed together needed to be a double for us to be more comfortable. The customer service was excellent at this hotel. They were very welcoming and made sure to do all they could to make us feel a valued guest. A word of warning about the parking!Booking.com states there is parking at the hotel but there is actually no secure parking at the hotel itself. You have to park in public parking areas around the hotel that use private apps such as EasyPark. Be careful about where exactly you park in these parking areas….not all spaces in these areas are for EasyPark customers and they are for private parking only. You will get a hefty parking fine if you park in the wrong place. It’s not that easy to tell as they all look the same, so look out for, read and translate, all signs that you see…! The hotel’s location was very close by car to the Djurgården and museums such as Tekniska, Polis and Etniska museum. The hotel is close to the water and offers nice views.

My stay at Scandic Södra Kajen was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This hotel perfectly combines modern Scandinavian design with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The location is ideal. Situated right on the water in the vibrant area of Södermalm, it offers breathtaking views of the Saltsjön bay and the city skyline. It's a long and picturesque walk to the Old Town (Gamla Stan) but it worth, and the Slussen subway station is incredibly close, making it easy to explore every corner of Stockholm. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. The highlight was undoubtedly the floor-to-ceiling window that framed a postcard-perfect view of the water. Waking up to that every morning was a real treat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after long days of exploring. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to be helpful, offering excellent local restaurant recommendations and tips. I would not hesitate to recommend Scandic Södra Kajen to anyone visiting Stockholm. It offers exceptional value for money and is a hotel I will definitely return to on my next trip.

Hotel was very nice and breakfast had a really good selection.

There was no coffee and tea + boiler on the room, which would have been a good addition.

The bed and pillows was very comfy, with good quality bed sheets. Family room was spacious and the common areas were very child friendly with games and activities.

On our last night the hotel must have been very full as the breakfast was a bit chaotic and items running out. Staff did they best to replenish. We knew that the hotel was a bit out of the way but the bus takes you into town in 10-15 min, however, we experienced delays on the bus, the bus being too crowded to get on. Alternative is to walk 15 min to subway.

Breakfast is very good. The hotel and the room have good facilities. There is a market nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and gave us all the support we requested.

The payment for the daily rates was made weeks in advance through Booking.com, but when I arrived they wanted me to make the payment because they hadn't received it. I showed them the receipt and they asked me to wait until the next day. At check-out they said it had been paid. It was resolved, but it was a bit embarrassing. The area where the hotel was built is a port and is under construction, so there seemed to be restrictions on public transportation in the area.

We had a fantastic stay at Scandic Södra Kajen! Our room was compact but perfectly suited for a family, with two beds and a cozy bunk bed—just what we needed. The view of the harbor from our window was stunning, adding to the overall experience. Breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of choices to suit everyone’s taste. The leisure area was a great place to unwind, and having a store nearby was really convenient for any essentials. Although the hotel is located a bit further from the city center, it didn’t bother us at all. In fact, it was a great opportunity to explore different types of Stockholm’s public transport, which made getting around both easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a comfortable and well-equipped place to stay in Stockholm!

The room was lovely, clean and modern. Massive window looking over the river and a comfortable armchair to enjoy the views from. Shower had great pressure. Loved the harbour longue for a space to read. Little shop with snacks and coffee for when you miss breakfast like I did (ends 9.30 on a weekday)! Big supermarket a block away.

Sadly the location isn't great (at the moment!) I walked in from the tube and I didn't feel particularly safe, don't trust Google maps! The bus is the much better option. Didn't feel like there was much options to walk anywhere directly from the hotel. Good for a stop over but not a base to explore.

It was great that the breakfast times were bookable beforehand. That way there was no rush whatsoever. It’s a major aspect of having a relaxing holiday that you don’t need to queue for your morning porridge! Also the area in the second floor where you could relax and play games with your kids was fantastic. I wish more hotels had something like that. Also it was great to watch the ferry boats from your room window. The bus 76 was a convenient connection to the city, although be mindful that on weekends and evenings it runs less often. Furthermore we enjoyed the spa upstairs, although it could have had a bit more to it, it was mainly saunas and one small pool where you could sit. It was lovely and warm though, so great for relaxing. Plus you could buy drinks for enjoying there too.

Our room was lacking a tea kettle which was a big minus for evening tea people like us. A couple of times we bought tea downstairs from the machine but it got very expensive that way. Also even though the cleaner came for the room the floor was still dirty afterwards. Everything else was cleaned though.
