The room was small but it was clean, quiet, the bed was comfortable, there was a kettle and a small TV (with some english channels) Aircon in the room was effective Friendly and helpful staff Small gym with showers. Equipment: dumbells up to 30 Kg, adjustable bench, lat pull down/seated cable row, leg extention/curl and chest/shoulder press, cable cross over machines. Buffet breakfast Large lounge/bar area (fairly quiet in the evenings) Hotel is convenient for some bars and the Hells Kitchen nightclub (next to Sturegallerian). There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The old town (Gamla stan) is about a 15min walk.

Minor things. Just note there is no fridge in the small single room. The gym would be much better if there was a power rack and an olympic bar.

We spent our first two nights in a standard room on the second floor facing Sturegatan and had a wonderful stay. The room was beautifully decorated, cozy, and felt fresh in every way. For our third night, we moved to a family room facing Humlegården park, as I wanted to enjoy the view. However, upon entering the room, I immediately noticed an unpleasant smell—possibly from someone having smoked there previously. I asked to change rooms, and the staff was very accommodating, promptly offering us another family room on the fourth floor in the same category. While the replacement room was fine overall, it felt like the family rooms are a bit older in terms of decor and furnishings. The textiles seemed more worn, the chair had visible signs of wear (and possibly a few spilled drinks), and there was still a faint, musty scent—at least to my sensitive nose. I really enjoy this hotel overall—the staff are fantastic, and you can’t beat the location. I’ll definitely recommend it to friends visiting, but I’d suggest they choose the standard rooms over the family ones if they can. The ambience is just nicer and more updated.

Some of the rooms could really benefit from an update in terms of furnishings and overall freshness. Standard rooms just had a better vibe, in my opinion.

I liked the location of the hotel, it's very central, enjoyed the breakfast, it was varied, fresh and plentiful. I also found the bed very comfortable and slept really well. The receptionist were super friendly and helfpul

I would not recommend the basement rooms without a window. I did not realise I booked this, but it was on my booking, i just did not notice that I had booked a windowless room. It did smell a bit of sewage and was next to some generator, as there was a constant humming, but not loud enough to impact my sleep. The upside though was the room was very dark , so optimal for sleeping especially during the stockholm summer.

The “common Spaces” were great! (Specially the sauna/ practical gym/ relaxed area, lobby etc.). Location was great. Otto from the restaurant/bar was by far the most profesional and well focused in customer service of the whole team in that hotel. Thanks again Otto, for your kind solutions and affectivity in any matter, that’s how you do it! ;)

The “individual” room in K1 floor was by far the smallest room that I ever had in any hotel World wide (+ without window). The restaurant schedule was quite strange for an international hotel with customers from all over the world, I couldn’t manage to eat there and just had to order from the bar because it was always closed. The fact that room service is almost as expensive as what ever you order in the menu it’s a bit strange as well, never. Experienced that before in other hotels

Amazing location, right in the heart of bustling Östermalm- best place for shopping and night life. Beds were super comfy and staff were super friendly and helpful. Really good gym and sauna too, and my room had a beautiful view. Also love the rooftop bar.

Room amenities were frankly lacking- no mini fridge in the room, and not even a kettle and tea/ coffee. Breakfast was ok, i thought pancakes should have been available considering what a big part of Swedish culture they are! Also check in time of 4 p.m is a little ridiculous.

Scandic Anglais was a welcome change from the Airbnb's we'd been staying in to save money throughout Norway. The room and bed were comfortable for our 6-night stay, the gym was terrific (weights, machines, cardio machines, resting area), and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with tons of variety and high-quality food. (There's also a sauna which I didn't get to try.) Location is fine, about a 20-minute walk from the train station, and close enough to restaurants and bars. Overall, a great place to say and worth the price.

My only complaint, and it is significant, is that there's a restaurant/club on one side of the hotel that plays VERY loud music until 2 am every weeknight (strangely, it was less loud on Friday night). We had to keep the windows open so as not to overheat (no hotels, as far as we found, have A/C in Scandinavia). So from about 11-2 the noise was terrible and really interfered with my sleeping. I'd stay here again, but only if I could be guaranteed a room on the other side of the building. The only other thing I would have appreciated is coffee/tea in the room, but I've found across Scandinavia that you don't get that until you go up to the more expensive rooms.

The hotel is suitable for a short stay. I rate the breakfast highly, the buffet is really rich and there is something for everyone.

I stayed in a room without windows (I was informed in advance). The room looks like a cellar and is more than enough for a night's sleep. However, the problem is the noise - something is constantly hissing in the room on this floor - sound technology, air conditioning, which replaces the missing window. It is difficult to sleep if there is no way to turn off the disturbing sounds. The second thing that did not suit me was the web application through which you have to book a table for breakfast, order room cleaning and other services. It may be a simplification, but if you don't make the request in time, there is no way to get the service, which is limiting.

Really enjoyed our short family visit to the Scandic Anglais, in a great location. Cot was provided for our one year old, the floor too ceiling windows proved a highlight for our daughter to look out of and observe the passing people below. The breakfast was of a very high quality and we couldn't fault the rooms.

It would have been nice to be able to adjust the temperature in the room. The communal lift did get a little busy at peak times just before checkout.

I stayed at Scandic Anglais with my two kids, ages 9 and 14. The location, right next to Humlegården and very close to lots of public transportation, was excellent. We enjoyed the massive breakfast buffet and the room was spacious and comfortable, much larger than other hotel rooms that we have experienced in Stockholm. The staff were kind and helpful, even when my daughter accidentally locked the room safe and we needed assistance. There were lots of families with young children and some small tour groups from other European countries. We walked from the hotel to lots of attractions and could easily take the trams, buses and subways to everything else. We will definitely come back!

There was nothing we would change.

Tasty breakfast, comfortable beds, gym with all the necessary equipment. Good location of the hotel in the city, as all the main attractions and tours are within easy walking distance.

The noisily closing door of the adjacent room woke us up earlier than we planned to get up. This will not be relevant for early risers, but it is worth knowing for those who like to sleep in late.
