The service in the dining room, lounge and reception were all excellent. The staff were not only efficient but really friendly and could not have been more helpful. The Parisien theme of the hotel gave it a special feel (we particularly loved the old fashioned lift) and our room reflected this too, as well as being clean, and having the most comfortable bed - including lovely soft pillows - that I have ever slept in. Our towels were refreshed each day and the bathroom was a generous size. We had asked for a quieter room at the back of the property and were given a lovely bright, quiet room. Despite arriving 2 hours early, our room was ready, which was a bonus after a very early start to the day. The hotel is well-situated for doing plenty of general sightseeing, shopping etc and within easy walking distance of the harbour, along with many museums and restaurants. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of food and drinks on offer and a good time from 7-11. We ate dinner in the hotel one evening and the food was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent breakfast--fresh fruit, fabulous croissants were our favourite. The restaurant bistro is also very good for lunch or dinner. The location is terrific! Centrally located to shops and restaurants, beautiful parks, a few blocks to the harbor, 15 minutes walk to Old Town--we walked everywhere! Oostermalm is definitely the place you want to stay. We loved this boutique hotel with wonderful Swedish/Parisian blend of Belle Epoque decor, including old-fashioned cage elevator and beautiful stained glass windows on the curving stairwell-- we stayed in the spacious blue deluxe room with big blue Swedish corner furnace which added so much to the beauty of the room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back!

I would have preferred a softer bed; it was quite firm. But then, not everybody has the same preference.

An excellent choice of breakfast food. Perhaps more than one choice of cereal, but otherwise plenty to choose from.

My evening arrival was difficult as I used the Tunnelbana and obviously came out the wrong exit. Got lost and walked with luggage on wet footpaths for 3/4 hour. Was told on arrival that the exit was just down the road - which it was and I used it during my stay. But this could have been good advice on the website for guests arriving by this type of transport. It looked so easy as I arrived at Central Station from Oslo!

This hotel was more pricey than those I usually stay in but I needed a good hotel that lies in that area so I picked this one. One of the best things was a very spacious bathroom. It was really nice and comfortable to take a shower, to put all my skincare and makeup on the sink. The lighting was gorgeous, too, easy to apply make-up. The bed was okay, by that I mean it was comfortable to sleep in but the matress was not very hard. The pillows were also okay, very soft but not as soft as in some hotels where you don't even feel them. The room was not very big I would say. If there were 2 people there, I think it would be hard for them to keep the suitcase open. The table and the chair were fine but I would say that if you plan to work from your room this is not the best option. The coolest thing is that you can open the window! I enjoyed it so much as I love having fresh air in the room! The air conditioner was a bit weird. It took it a lot of time to change the temperature. And I didn't open the window during that time so I guess it's just how it works. The tea and coffee selection was great! I enjoyed the tea so much that I ordered the tea from the brand that they used when I got home. You do hear the sounds from the corridor but my neighbors were quiet so it was just general noise from the door being opened, or a suitcase being brought. The breakfast was good. The selection is small but the quality is superb. The coffee was one of the best I had in a Swedish hotel, and they serve warm milk, too. It was very nice to go for a walk in the neighbourhood, there are some many places to visit around: shops, cafes, restaurants.

The hotel was very comfortable, the superior room was well equipped with a large bed. Breakfast very good, location fairly central the road leading down to the Strandvagen with the ferries and local boat trips.

Breakfast was good but staff a bit too attentive. As it was a buffet you needed to move about and seem to be constantly dodging staff refilling and removing used plates etc. Fault with server caused bedroom television to switch on unbidden after midnight three nights in a row.

Not a big variation for breakfast, not enough if you stay more than 2 nights When I booked the hotel the retro fireplace was on all the pictures for the chosen room type. It was a pity that in reality the room we got was without it. If I knew that not all rooms have it I would definitely leave a proper message at the booking phaze. I expected a toothpaste in such a gorgeous hotel.

We got a free upgrade to an excellent room on the 5th floor, spacious room, sitting area, desk with power outlets. Particularly comfortable beds and wonderful bed linen. Spacious bathroom with all amenities, high quality towels, robes and slippers. Perfect location close to Stureplan, a metro station and the nearby shopping streets and restaurants

Despite prebooked time slots for the breakfast, the staff seemed disorganized and stressed. Th e hot section of the breakfast was far from up to standard. The egg dish, royal, was watery and what was called bacon clumsy chunks of fat and rind, a far cry from thin strips fried or grilled to crispyness

Nestled in the city's heart, it's within walking distance of all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants. Whether you're here for business or leisure, you'll appreciate how easy it is to explore the area without needing a car. Public transportation is also conveniently nearby, making it even easier to get around. The buffet was a delightful mix of fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and local specialties. The quality of the food was excellent, and the variety ensured that you always enjoyed the same options. What truly sets this hotel apart is its staff. I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality from the moment I arrived. The front desk team was incredibly helpful, providing recommendations for local sights and assisting with any requests I had during my stay. The housekeeping staff also did a fantastic job, ensuring my room was always clean and comfortable. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make my stay pleasant.

The Sparrow Hotel staff very friendly, professional and helpful. We had a deluxe bedroom level 2 facing bistro/courtyard; it was spacious with kingsize bed, two comfy chairs, desk, large TV and bluetooth speaker [a nice touch]. Toiletries L'Occitane better than most hotels, and towels changed daily and bedding once during our 3 night stay. Old fashioned elevator and some of the building architecture. Breakfast continental a good selection to keep you going for hours whilst walking Stockholm. Hotel location was central, a 15mins walk to waterside and surrounded by designer shops and good restaurants and bakeries only a short walk away. Don't forget to take a boat trip to Voxholm see the archipelago, walk the Old Town and visit the Royal Palace and Vassa Museum. Don't forget to indulge in wonderful cinnamon buns [Stora Bageriet], Swedish meatballs and dumplings [Traditional Restaurant Old Town].

Hotel, expecting a larger foyer, reception area, but, it was adequate.

The breakfast was lovely and really truly appreciated the vegan and gluten free options - which were delicious. The room was lovely - beautifully decorated with lovely touches. Loved the feel of the place and the old fashioned pieces eg the lift. Staff were also friendly.

There wasn't anything we disliked and we've recommended the hotel to a friend traveling to Stockholm later in the year as we think they will love it. We did share we were there for a big birthday, hence reason for staying at the hotel and hoped to upgrade (we knew we had a nice room but wanted to see if we could improve it)... the receptionist didn't look for us and said she thought it was fully booked. We thought the hotel might do something to acknowledge birthday to make it extra special... but that didn't eventuate. Of course the hotel doesn't have to do anything... we thought it was would be a nice touch if it did.
